EDIT 1: I haven't had any issues at all, other than some annoying load times in Cyrodiil, my main issue is that they never give an ETA, so what are we supposed to do on our Saturday night? Wait for the servers to get back up? Or go to a movie and do something else?
I agree they need to fix something if it is broken, but they couldn't wait a couple hours?

I like ESO, but its staff really needs to get a grasp on reality, and public relations.
Who the heck shuts down the servers on a Saturday night to do maintenance, during some of the most busiest time of the evening?
Of course, no ETA. Do we go to bed and get up? Do we watch a movie on Netflix and come back? Come on man, get with it.

Bunzaga_ESO✭✭✭I'm sure the 2-3 hours it will be down, and those people can't log in anyway, would make a difference to the thousands of others who were playing just fine? Why not just do it in a few hours, when its in the middle of the night?
I'm not complaining that they are fixing their ***, we all know it needs to be addressed SOME TIME, but right at the busiest time of the weekend?1 -

Did you even, you know, read the link you sent? They just posted that to let us know it's coming down for maintenance. It's emergency maintenance - they are going to try to fix the problems.
People - Stop acting like this is scheduled maintenance and that they are just out to get you...

Well, i really do prefer to play with lag then not being able to play at ALL. They could, you know, wait a couple more hours till there weren't so many people online playing to shut it down for maintenance...
I am assuming here that this will take hours to complete (as every other time they shut down for maintenance). If this is only a 10 min. server reboot, than im okay with it.1 -

If the idiots designing this game had done their jobs to begin with they wouldn't be receiving either complaint.
I can understand some early bugs when a game goes live, but this just absolutely ludicrous. After the half-arsed quote-unquote 'Beta Test' Zenimax did (a couple of stress test weekends = intensive beta testing, apparently), I'm not remotely surprised at this influx of problems, and more than happy to point out it's all due to Zenimax's totally idiocy.
Seriously, I get that it's their first MMO, but come on - I've NEVER made an MMO and even I know that you need more testing than what they gave this thing before throwing it at us.

Bringing the server down in order to address an issue as serious as players being unable to log in and actually play the game is lousy customer service? Well, I guess the people that were already logged in and playing think it's lousy customer service. The people that couldn't play probably appreciate it.
