And that's exactly how, I believe, it should be.In-game activities were the exclusive way to obtain the motif for a period of time, and the motifs served as an incentive to play the content.
Precisely, that is exactly how I was thinking about that. There were plans for my group to revisit the dungeons over and over in upcoming weeks. I was happy... up until today, when I saw patchnotes. No reason to play the content now.I had hoped, that when Meridian and Coldsnap had started dropping before their Crown Store availability, at the start of the major patch, that ZOS had finally seen the error of their ways and gone back to the old way of doing things.
Do they really sell that many motifs in the CS that can also be obtained in game? I guess so, since they've changed the way motifs are released in the CS.
But, I cannot see spending 5k on a motif that I can easily get in game. Either by playing the content or farming gold to buy from other players. Has anyone actually spent real money on the Anequina motif? You can get that from the Elsweyr dailies.
Either people don't read the fine print in the Showcase or the CS or they just have to have it now and don't care that they can get it in game. Or, maybe it doesn't mention anything about in-game means of acquisition in the CS, but only in the Showcase.
I guess they are counting on new players to buy them, who really have no idea that they can get them in game.
