✭✭Yeah I know. This is outside of that. They both take the form of dragons so that is why I made the poll. Hands Down Akatosh is the True dragon. Peryite just takes the form of one ironically being what people want dragons to be it seems the peryite version. But that isn''t how True elder scrolls dragons are. I'm tired I will admit that. I don't get high, I didn't think this poll through enough or word it right I guess as I should be sleeping right now but I'm not. *Shrugs*

Akatosh is the -whatever it's called "left overs" of Padomay just like Sithis is of Anu
Neither Daedra nor Aedra or of any Tamrielic critter

✭✭✭✭✭Little story here. When I first started Daggerfall, it took me a LONG time to get out of the tutorial dungeon. Days. RL days. Seriously. When I got to the first city, I wandered in a daze. And suddenly, I was outside a temple. I dully opened the door.
It was the temple of Akatosh. Wow. And I realized that I had chosen Akatosh as my girl's deity. I was home. Sometimes.... things happen the way they're supposed to.
Akatosh is my characters' deity throughout TES, and now ESO. IRL, I don't do religion - but hey, Akatosh works for me.2 -

According to micheal kirkbride. Alduin is nordic for akatosh, part of the aka-tusk oversoul.
Akatosh and lorkhan are 2 sides of the same coin, akatosh being the dragon god of time is the only spirit capable of ending time, tamriel on nirn inside the mundus is focused around time. In ESO the souless one is tasked with defeating molag bal who plans on taking the ruby throne and must receive the amulet of kings to merge nirn and coldharbour even though this isnt possible but if molag bal succeeded his plan would unfold time, this is where meridia comes into play to help the vestige.
The dragon god of time eats itself and starts anew cycle of rebirth~ the ES kalpa. The oroboros.
The dragonborn in ES skyrim didnt stop alduin frome destroying nirn he only postponed the inevitable. Akatosh/lorkhan holds this mantle of responsibility.

✭✭✭✭✭PeryiteAkatosh & Peryite are both refered to as dragons. The difference is that Peryite has 4 legs + 2 wings (the way dragons are shown in 99% of fantasy btw.) while Aakatosh has 2 legs + 2 wings.
It got me thinking... What if there are different kinds of dragons ? Just like different types of khajiits or different types of Argonians ? It would make sense tbh.0 -
