Goodbye PvP Event

This is a genuine issue with faction lock, actually. When One Tamriel was implemented we were all encouraged to create characters in different alliances and to make friends who mained other alliances and to broaden our horizons and enjoy the game looking past just factions. This was highly encouraged.

Now, after people have spent actual money on characters of all factions, have developed communities that depend on multi-faction, and have been able to play with their communities and do things like this event, they're being forced away from these things.

I don't care about so-and-so getting 1vX'd, I don't care about so-and-so getting trolled (trolling happened pre-faction locks, it happens by trolls in the same exact faction as well), I care about communities being split by this sudden, and ridiculously strict rule placed on a game that has encouraged the opposite for years now. If factions had been encouraged from the start, and if there was some sort of valid reward for being faction loyal, this would be a different story. But the reality is that that isn't the case, and now there's an even bigger divide in not only the PvP community, but also in the interest of PvE players coming into PvP.

ZoS encouraged communities to be created, and they were, and now ZoS is ripping them apart. It's extremely unfair. It really is.

    How so?

You could never PvP together with characters of a different alliance.

Before One Tamriel, you had to create characters in a different faction if you wanted to run dungeons or trials with them. That's how many people ended up with different faction characters. We had people join our guild whose main characters were not in EP, so we made charcters in other alliances so we could play with them before OT.

But for PvP, that was always the case. If you want to PvP, you have to go with people from the same faction. Faction locking a campaign does not change that. And there is still a non-faction locked campaign (although I agree a non-CP 7-day is needed).

ZOS is not "ripping communities apart" any more than they did before this update.

You completly missed the Point. Ofc you cant pvp together if the faction from the chars are different. But before last Update you could create a new character on your friends alliance and pvp with him. That got deleted.

One of our friends got hit really hard by this change...

Our group plays in DC Side and we have become Friends with a guy from EP side. He has like 4 EP characters wich he plays and to join us for some fun He created 2 DC characters. Was all fine we were playing together, having fun and making new friendships over this. Freedom.

Now this is actually over. Either He is now stuck with his DC chars and all of his EP chars are locked out of the only active campaign and also cant play with his EP Friends or the other way around.

Imagine making one tamriel, all can play together making new Friends and developing some really good relationship and then ZOS comes in and rips it in 10000 pieces.

Thank you ZOS for literally nothing execpt destroying things we liked.

    So the issue is farming?
There are many many threads like this, transmute crystals are not something you are supposed to obtain this easy.
    Adapt.

Wut? So Zos made these changes to make Transmutation crystals harder to farm? LOL People come up with all sorts of fabricated justifications now.

    Follow me on this:
Having less chanches to transmute gear = you have to farm in order to obtain the stuff you want = the "endgame" last longer.

Many times i wanted to switch a set, called some guild friends and with 4-5 runs i had all the pieces i needed, then i went to clockworc city changed the traits and i was back to do pvp in two days with erything bis.

If you are here from a long time (and you are since you joined one month after me) you have done pretty much everything in the game and since zos is not the best in releasing endgame content (even the expansions are sell as a new starting zone) they have to make the grind longer in order to keep old players.
This at least is what i think.

Thank you again for the faction lock; it would have been better to lock all campaigns but at least this is a good start.
As this has proven to be popular and successful, we press now for faction lock for all campaigns.

You've already been whinging at EP have a numerical advantage, and have concocted a ridiculous theory as to why. Now it's "successful"?

Just play Battlegrounds for crystals and AP. It's much faster there. You can make like 50k AP an hour without even trying too hard.

I did not join this game to play hardcore PvP and I don't know why it keeps being nerfed to satisfy the hardcore PvP players. Turn PvP into a separate game, like Guild Wars original did. With separate skills and separate armour.
you know that it was the casual pvp playerthat forced this faction lock, right?

hardcore pvp players most often played mutliple camps

People saying ‘meh getting enough transmute is ez meh meh’ need to just stop.

Just because you don’t have a lot to transmute doesn’t mean we don’t! I have 7 staves off the top of my head (I’m sure I’ve forgotten some!) that I have to change from charged to infused because ZOS changed things and healer need to run stuff tanks used to.

Not to mention the new sets, older sets for new chars etc.

You don’t get to determine what’s ‘enough’ for someone else so please stop using that as your argument.

That's your own problem for relying on transmute stones for your gear.

    lol. Cute.

I was here pre transmute; so know who you're speaking to before you start typing. You don't know how many CHARGED lightning staves I've farmed because of ZOS changes. I have to do all this because of ZOS changes.

Also: what do YOU think the purpose of transmute stones is then?

Finally: I never said anything about being anti F lock - I don't care either way - so feel free to unclench.

Get a clue, and a grip, and try again later.

Whining about transmutation stones makes me cringe.. they are so easy to get without this. I mean how many do you really need? Usually I am searching for things to transmute.

    That will change....
