Except that's largely the way a lot of people are are acting. Did you actually read the rest of my post, or only take the one part? Instead of giving constructive feedback and criticism, most people who are against it are just going "no it's dumb I hate it get rid of it" instead of giving themselves time to adjust to a Class feature that was made clear from the very start. Like I said (and you seem to conveniently have overlooked) there is a big difference between saying "yeah this isn't working for me it's not that fun" and claiming that the Class mechanic is stupid and never should have been implemented and needs to be removed RIGHT NOW.
@coop500
I tested with Forgotten Crypts where you get a follower, used several 'criminal act' skills and got no bounty for it.
So if people are getting bounties from neutral quest givers and people who follow you in dungeons, it's likely a bug that should be reported, especially since like I mentioned, ZOS posted in one of the PTS patch notes that these particular NPCs aren't supposed to give bounties for 'criminal act' skills you use in front of them.
My perception of what others think applies to those who are just saying "lol no it sucks get rid of it". Sure others are making actual arguments against it, but then if others can express their dislike in constructive ways, why can't everyone? Negative criticism without any sort of real feedback in the end is useless criticism. And I'd like to know why you think I blanketly 'don't agree', because as I've said numerous times, neither those for or against it are wrong. Everyone's perception of it will vary to some degree because what people like or dislike is subjective. In fact I've stated numerous times that there's nothing wrong with not liking the Class mechanic, but instead of just complaining about how it's bad and should be removed, people really ought to be giving some sort of actual feedback. Like with your post here. You don't like it, you explain why, you give actual feedback as to what you feel is wrong with it. That sort of criticism is useful because it lets ZOS know in detail what people have a problem with.I did read the rest of it. People are saying they don't like it because it impairs game-play in ways that no other class else does. There is precise criticism all over of why people don't like it. Just seems that you blanketly don't agree with it because it doesn't effect your game-play. The statement I quoted shows your perception of what others think.
Just because Zeni made it clear from the start doesn't mean that people have to agree with it. More poignantly it doesn't mean that it was implemented well. Just because the quest give is neutral doesn't mean that the guy right next to them it.
Has Zeni even said that this is a test to broaden the justice system or is that just mere speculation?
In all, to me, this doesn't add depth to the game in the way it does for Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild. If feels like a misplaced concept stapled on and for the life of me I cannot come up with a valid reason why (in part because I am dismissive of the lore reasoning in favor of mechanics being universal).
The Criminal Act tag should be extended to include Vampires, Werewolves and maybe Daedric summoning
I don't play necro but think it really should be removed. I can run around as an evil Vampire or werewolf and no-one cares. It just makes no sense to be restricted to use so many skills when so many fights take place near npcs for quests
