So did you do what a BETA tester is supposed to do and report the bug? I played beta and yes there were alot of annoying bugs hence whys its beta. Some bugs you could work around some you couldn't.

Again, that said I'm still to encounter a bug at the moment that I cannot solve myself.

I'm not saying there aren't bugs, but if you want to whinge and complain then just don't play. Then i don't have to read this crap in the forums and feel obliged to set the tone.

Nothing is perfect and nothing will be solved without actually trying to contribute.

I did for the first five or so betas after that I just stopped reporting the same ones over and over again because they would have to be extremely naive to think they were any different or werent aware. Besides once the November betas start to hit they invited a lot more people and there were thousands of people reporting the same things we had been reporting for months.

Check my posting history its all there. Assuming they have beta comments saved.

What some people dont get though is there are bugs and then there are BUGS, the ones you can work around, like reloading the UI or reloading an instance those are minor. Those can be excused somewhat (even though they have existed since they were created) but its the other ones where you cant work around them that are the problem. If you truly havent seen any of those then youre definitely in a minority. Its been posted over and over again that a lot of people who are playing aren on the forums but do complain in game about them. Guilds are already seeing people not logging in (either due to inability, random bans, or frustration), not a good sign for a game one week from hard release.

Seriously how many people have to report something? They know these things exist they have acknowledged some of them even. I think it goes to the inability to figure out HOW to fix it not really the willingness. Similar to some of the stuff Lotro went through. The bugs they have still exist in some cases because they simply do not have the brain power to fix them and arent willing to let someone who might be able to fix them do so.

Either way all these posts in this forum arent just made up, nor are the tens of thousands of other posts in here corroborating them. Proof by inspection. If the complaints and issues are the same exact thing and they are the same thing people said was 'wrong' months ago with the game then that is as much proof as anyone needs to figure out that it is a legit problem. Which is still only part of the issue, because like I said it isnt the problems themselves its the length of time they have existed and not been fixed that is the real problem. Its like walking around with your eyes closed and bumping into something over and over again. Nothing wrong with walking around with your eyes closed a lot of people try it. BUT if you have fallen down a few dozen times and hurt yourself it might be time to open your frigging eyes.

    Veteran rank 3 now.

To sum up what's been broken for me:
    1. 7 broken quests
    2. Occasional lag spike that gets me killed. Probably since the datacenter for EU server is still in NA.
    3. Some animation issues where my character stops responding. Happens rarely.
    4. Some quest speech in German, not English.

That's about it for me.. Awesome launch frankly. Doesn't seem like a "needs to be in beta game" to me. Frankly most of the stuff you listed sounded like you completely overstating or it was entirely on your end. You even started just trying to invent stuff to credit yourself by the end of the post.

Granted the worst of what I have experienced is progression blocking but really who cares, so I miss a day or two until server restarts or the quest gets fixed; nothing on the amount of time I and most others plan to play this.

If a few launch issues are enough to cause you to blow this big a gasket, maybe it's time to move on or return later when these "hugely serious" issues get fixed.

I honestly have to question posts like this as well because if you're ready to bust out the "I'M QUITTING AND NEVER RETURNING" card this early on, were you really ever gonna stay that long in the first place?

I have had no lag whatsoever in dungeons or outside it. I have a pretty slow PC as well. I have a quad core amd 4 gigs ram. Just FYI since this is a 32 bit app your 16 gigs of ram is still 4 gigs to the game. If I was you Id check my internet for latency sounds like you might have some issue there.
This really. Intel HD 3000 + 8 GB RAM here and no problems with performance on (medium with some effects disabled). This really sounds like either some system, hardware or game installation problem. Also in fact some issues he says to have can be cause by bad ISP (possibly speedtest.net to see pings could tell more)

I'm not even going to dig through that wall of text. But reading the title and the first two sentences my only response can be this.

Is this your first time playing an MMO on launch?

Worst response ever. It doesn't matter if this is his first MMO or his 100th MMO. Developers need to learn from past mistakes and surpass them, not replicate them. Just because WoW had problems during launch, doesn't mean an MMO releasing in 2014 needs to replicate those same problems.

Just curious if anyone remembers the Simcity launch, how disastrous that was. Or, Battlefield 4... or even CubeWorld going public with its purchasing/downloads?

Or hey, just recently in the news - Toyota recalling 6.4million cars.

It's the world we live in. We always demand perfection, but it's next to impossible to actually deliver it.

We live in a world that has become very self-centered. The attitude has become "I am one of a tiny percentage of people having problems, therefore stop the world - it's about me." Thousands of people are running around having fun in Tamriel without enough trouble to worry about, yet a few folks are acting like their problems are all that matters and we should just turn the clock back for them. Be real - if there are so few people having the troubles you are, in all likelihood the problem lies somewhere on your end. And if for some reason it doesn't, it is most likely going to be difficult for them to replicate and fix, meaning you have some waiting before they can get to it. (The bugs affecting the most people are going to get fixed first unless it is really obvious and easy.) Sorry if I came off harsh, but I have been dealing with a lot of people like this today. Your problems generally don't merit everybody else dropping everything to help you.

The game is auctally pretty smooth compared to most beta stage mmos and its newly released, coompared to where it was in beta and where it is now its solid.

All mmos open with bugs and issues that only get found in the release stage, and there is no such thing has a bug free mmo.

Report your concerns and give feedback in game also, via the /bug and /feedback stuff also.

    I'm only level 16:

    Fallen through the ground, twice.
Failed to load into Cyrodill (killed the game after waiting for several minutes) three times.
Assassins in Daggerfall glitched (fixed during maintenance)
Monsters not dropping motes (fixed during maintenance)
NPCs not turning warewolf even after giving appropriate dialogue (fixed during maintenance)
Two quests involving 'Meet this NPC at X location' bugged (fixed during maintenance)
Ran spindle multiple times with the first part not triggering -- Even took the time to duo it and kill every monster along the way.
Ran banished cells multiple times with the NPC bugged after the first boss
'Teleport to player' not actually teleporting me to that player's instance (in Daggerfall)
Memory leaks! I've had this game chomp down on over 5 gigs as it grinds to a halt.
    Compass breaks frequently during PvP

I'm sure there are more, but that's what comes to mind off the top of my head.

have you not seen the screenshots of so many people waiting at a bugged quest that you cant even see anything? not even just a side quest but the one that is required to get from cold harbour to the first vet zone. If there's one thing they should make sure works its the main story quest. Id rather have my inventory deleted and my gold disappear or every other damn quest in the game break then be forced to just flat stop progressing my character because of a broken story quest. There are a ton of people who have been stuck for over a week on this quest.

Agree with OP. The amount of buggs is really high. im level 21 and I have reported 20+ bugs at least. So many quests I couldnt finish and just had to skipp. They launched a bit to early.

I disagree with the OP. The amount of buggs is really low. I'm level 25 and have reported 2 bugs at most. So many quests that I have finished them with no problems and my character skipped over to the next quest. They launched just in time.

I think a lot of people forget that even skyrim shipped bugged. I bought the collectors edition and I couldnt play for a week until they put out a patch. Thats a single player game too. I didnt freak out I just waited. I wonder sometimes reading posts here if people think this game has been out for years. Its been out a whole week.

In all seriousness, me and my wife had our first rollback last night and lost about ten minutes of time. We said "well that sucked" and logged back in, retraced our steps and continued playing and nearly forgot it ever happened. I guess when you have real life issues and work and family to deal with, a little hic-up here and there (for us at least) isn't going to ruin our experience.

Lets put it this way: The Mac client since its first beta has been crashing every 5 minutes in Cyrodill because of a memory leak issue with the client. It was reported in beta 1, beta 2 etc... The client still crashes every time it reaches 4gig of ram.

So, based on these facts, is the mac client beta material?
<spoiler> Yes it is beta material

My game runs smooth as silk on ultra settings and I am not even close to the specs of OP, I have almost no latency issues and I have only encountered 1 quest that was broken, but that quest got fixed in the last patch. I have played a lot of MMOs during my life, and this is by far the most stable and polished launch I have ever seen.

Is there stuff that needs fixing? of course, but this game feels like an MMO that has been out for at least 2-3 months imo. I have been able to play the game every day since early access, which I have never been able to do with an MMO in such an early state. The amount of bugs for such a massive game as this is staggeringly low, I expected much more issues than I have had.

The only issues I have so far, is game design, like low bank space and terrible guild store interface.

So either I have been extremely lucky, or there is something wrong on OPs end, and not with the game.
