Do you think the devs even have a clue what they're doing with NB?

Oh right, that was just me trolling. I mean they nerfed magblade too so I pressed yes for the lols. The devs don't know what they are doing for sure.
You do realise that, if any ZOS dev looks at this thread at all, they will probably only look at the poll results, right? Understanding subtlety and sarcasm would require the insight they appear to so lack in the first place.

Yes. One particular dev directly involved with the combat decision making process plays stamblade main. This is the driving force behind these NB changes. Do the math, they know EXACTLY what they are doing.

He plays a brawler style NB, which is probably why the changes all seem to be designed to push people into that play style instead of what a NB was designed to do originally. Also probably explains why magblade keeps getting shafted and is at the top of the list for worst in PvP

I dont think the devs have any clue with anything other than quest designs (which are quite good still) and crown store (even that is becoming stale and just reskins.)

If this is really Gilliam's doing - which I severely doubt, tbh - then power has gone to his head.

i am more than convinced the developers know alot more about not only nightblades but the whole game far better then not only myself but also all the people on this forum.
they work on this game for a living, they study it day in and day out, they know about this game, not everything they do is going to show that but i can promise you that if you were inside with them you would be amazed at what we Dont know and how good those guys actually are.

I have sympathy for your answer as i have for eso developers for their general work BUT...
We cannot "cover the sun with the sieve".
Too many contradictions DLC after DLC and if you read patch notes, they even admit it, by other words... So they really have to open their eyes and begin to act accordingly and in a systematic way...

The dark cloak change nerfs the class in an area that was already weak... so no. They dont know what they're doing.

Plus the grim focus changes are so obviously darts being thrown at a dart board. They have no idea what they want the skill to be.

Not sure why the healing debuf wasn't taken off and the rest of the skill left alone. To all those who said the devs know what they are doing have you ever watched them on live stream plaing the game? I guess not bc they are all scrubs, literally scrubs.

They nerfed the burst from a burst only class with not much pressure outside, pushed them into tank builds and took away the ability to kite opponents for magblades and forcing them into meele now. They have no clue about how the class is working, sorry. And this feeling gets stronger if you look at the new Incap. After overnerfing Nb they're trying to make it good now by giving them a super overtuned hardcounter against half of the builds.

Everytime a topic arises about magblade needing help, new topics arise that cloak needs to be nerfed, that people have a "no cloak OP magblade" and we should l2p (read: wear heavy armor or rely on proc sets)

I gave up on my light armor melee magblade. I just wait and see what @zos has in store for us when Elsewyr lands and then decide what to do.

"I am a nightblade. Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."
