ESO is actually one of the most stable and better MMOs. That I have played in my 16 plus years of MMO experience, through many MMO titles. That is the truth!
There are only two that I can think of that are more stable than ESO. That's Guild Wars 2 and Eve Online.

I'm gonna second this. Played every single one of those. Especially when it comes to Blade and Soul. NCSoft threw that game under the bus. I still play casually, but me and two friends pretty much abandoned it after one free weekend of ESO on steam made us realize there was so much more to do in this game than in most games out there.
There is a crap ton to do in this game. Thats not contestable.
The problem is how the game is managed by creating mechanism to waste youre time, and even more so if you design builds that are not common but effective.
Its a shame that people are stuck and willing to pay to be taken advantage.
strom arena, nerf event drops, nerf transmutation drops, nerf race against time, nerf draining shot, nerf nightblade, nerf sorc, nerf dragonknight, nerf major evasion, nerf sub assault, nerf wings, nerf ravager, nerf blocking, nerf dodge rolling, nerf cloak, nerf mist form, nerf enchants, nerf spin to win, nerf argonians, nerf orcs, nerf snipe, nerf master's staff, nerf healing, nerf solar flare, nerf necromancer, nerf dot ticks, nerf crafting...did I miss anything? These forums are filled with whiny entitled players who don't want challenging game play they want to beat everybody and all content with the least amount of skill possible. So the question is when will we stop trying to nerf everything before the game becomes an echo of itself?
I could actually list all the nerfs and nerf overs throughout the history of this game. But, I would rather someone else do it.
I took this from another post to demonstrate how tiree a lot of us have become of manufacturee instability in this game just so devs can fee like you have done something innovative with the game.
If anyone wants to add other nerfs that devs have riddled the game with. Pls be my guest and list them. Some have been nerfed, buffed, nerfed angain and buffed again.

*shrugs* It depends on your point of view. IMO Blade and Soul and it's nerfs waste more of my time than the nerfs here. The only thing I'm annoyed with is the NB nerfs and stealth removal on bosmer. But it's still nothing in comparison to what NCSoft has done to Blade x Soul since it's launch, given the amount of effort it takes to upgrade a character there only to have it nerfed into the ground within a matter of months. Certainly it takes effort here, but at least I'm not farming for a fragment of a fragment of a fragment of a fragment of an item that when combined with 2876276319 other items makes one of the 292987398288917827389 items I need to upgrade my weapon, only to end up having the character nerfed all to heck and become useless in PVE because it was made to be OP bait at it's launch.
Yes you need mats here, and peices of mats...and its annoying when a character you've worked on gets nerfed... but it's....really not as bad as some games. Oh the nerfs are unpleasant to be sure, but I don't feel like as much of my time or my effort is wasted because progression is easy here when compared to games like Blade x Soul. And I mention that there's more to do because...in a way for me this compensates for the nerfs, where as in other games, there is only the end game. Ever. Here my character doesn't feel useless after a nerf. I don't feel taken advantage of. I'm annoyed, I think the devs are making some pretty weird decisions, but I've faced worse.
Not saying you shouldn't be annoyed, but this isn't the most unstable mmo in history by a long shot.

I agree with you 100%. That game was literally the worst I have ever experienced.
The title here was never met intended to be taken literally. It was a figure of speech. Like when an individual says
"Hey Bro"
Translation "Hello" not "Hello Brother" as in relates to same brother or mother.
I do wish Zos success. But, I do feel they are are becoming too big for there own good and getting greedy. Greed always kills good games. They have diamond here and they are going to f it up.
More innovation is needed rather than spending time trying to fool people with the term balance. If they put as much time in to creating new innovative content vs nerf and buff roulette, this game would have a much longer life span.

But, go ahead and keep paying devs to trick you.

One Tamriel was a big boost for crafters because it made max level mats available everywhere instead of just DLC zones and Cyrodiil, and ZOS recently changed how writ rewards grant useful max level as well as lower tier mats.
I honestly don't recall a crafting nerf. Am I forgetting something?

I think you give Zos to much credit that they actually have an organized thought concerning their changes.
I cannot give them the same credit when they increased the effectiveness of the Templar Javelin knockback then completely removed the knockback less than a year later. I think they are still struggling to learn how to manage this game and that is giving them credit that they are learning something.

You forgot Archeage. Archeage had to add tech to its servers to be able to roll-back, because their first major addition was such a disaster. Archeage has had periods of times where you could not login for literal days, and spent your time checking on forums.
Lotsa worse games the ESO
I an currently playing bdo. I like it and they dont change powers and nerf every 3 months. My experience with mmos are vast. But you only need to play this one to know its unstable.

In 2 of there expansions, devs have gutted a class and imprinted said skills onto a new class included for sale in new expansion.
I haven’t played since week 3 of anniversary event started due to not being able to even login for an infinite load screen. I did manage to get on once but FPS were so low it gave me a migraine. But with someone playing for 4 or 5 years and a class they play or even a class skill they use gets made useless I don’t think they come here just to complain. If that one skill was so unbalanced it wouldn’t have taken 5 years to fix it.

Ridiculousness
I don't think it would be feasible to even try to list all the nerfs/adjustments.
It's a near constant stream of changes in totality to play.
Like... the game right now is so vastly different from it's original release.
I guess you can't claim that the devs are inactive though... it's actually been a bit too much and too heavy handed.
Devs have been active in giving non innovative changes. Just moving the same old same old around. And then you have people who ask for stuff free stuff who should be asking the devs for actual real new content and real advances in game.
Should not pay them to create mechanisms designed at wasting members time.
