This game has become the most unstable MMO in history

strom arena, nerf event drops, nerf transmutation drops, nerf race against time, nerf draining shot, nerf nightblade, nerf sorc, nerf dragonknight, nerf major evasion, nerf sub assault, nerf wings, nerf ravager, nerf blocking, nerf dodge rolling, nerf cloak, nerf mist form, nerf enchants, nerf spin to win, nerf argonians, nerf orcs, nerf snipe, nerf master's staff, nerf healing, nerf solar flare, nerf necromancer, nerf dot ticks, nerf crafting...did I miss anything? These forums are filled with whiny entitled players who don't want challenging game play they want to beat everybody and all content with the least amount of skill possible. So the question is when will we stop trying to nerf everything before the game becomes an echo of itself?

I could actually list all the nerfs and nerf overs throughout the history of this game. But, I would rather someone else do it.

I took this from another post to demonstrate how tiree a lot of us have become of manufacturee instability in this game just so devs can fee like you have done something innovative with the game.

If anyone wants to add other nerfs that devs have riddled the game with. Pls be my guest and list them. Some have been nerfed, buffed, nerfed angain and buffed again.

Unstable = Constant Changes = Horizontal Progression

Its the equivalent of making us take 2 steps backwards, then 3 steps forward, so we feel like we're making progress, but the Devs don't have to work as hard to keep pace with new content.

But is it weird that now I'm curious when they nerfed crafting?

One Tamriel was a big boost for crafters because it made max level mats available everywhere instead of just DLC zones and Cyrodiil, and ZOS recently changed how writ rewards grant useful max level as well as lower tier mats.

I honestly don't recall a crafting nerf. Am I forgetting something?

Horizontal Progression is much better for an mmo experience than vertical for a large variety of reasons... and most unstable? my first mmorpg was meridian 59...so...no you are wrong

OP is simply wrong and has not played many MMOs. Off the top of my head I can name worst stable MMOs that pretty much deleted classes to uselessness for profit and P2W.

    - Black Desert Online
    - Blade and Soul
    - Blessed Online
    - Revelation Online
    - Skyforge

I could keep on going but you get the drift.

ESO is actually one of the most stable and better MMOs. That I have played in my 16 plus years of MMO experience, through many MMO titles. That is the truth!

There are only two that I can think of that are more stable than ESO. That's Guild Wars 2 and Eve Online.

I dunno... since they are talking about buffs, nerfs to their favorite skills and class. I've actually played Matrix Online when it came out. And yeah... even goin by the OP's logic, ESO is not even close to being the most unstable game ever. And i was a Demonology Lock in WoW for 14 years and they are technically the most nerfed class in any mmos history. Okay, little bias there cause i do still love locks, and hated their nerfs 😋

Sounds more like the OP just upset that their favorite skills, races and class(es) got hit with the whiffle nerf bat, and needs to vent before actually lashing out.

I come back to the game few days ago, (starting from zero) and probably I need learn a lot of the new features, but my first impression of PvP are bad....now all builds must be based on 2H or Dest Staff, if you wanna play with Bow and DW....probably you eats a truck full of ***...maybe I am wrong, but I feel the game too limitated right now....and the incoming nerfs for Mag NB probably make the game more limitated...

Talking about classes, the limitation are similar, I don't know if in Pc are diferent, but in Ps4, NB and templars are almost gone, sorcs, wardens and Dk's are the 90% of population of Vivec (others campaigns are empty)

And what's about combats? well...damage is too low, or shielding/healing too high I don't know xD but combats turns sooooo freaking boring, people running between pillars, stairs, rocks,healing/shielding himself while 8-10 players runs behind them until geting bored

I repeat, this is only my first impression after seven days played and maybe when I get a 810 level fully equipped I can enjoy the game (pvp) but right now, I miss the old times so badly....and I can't imagine how frustrating must be for the new players...under 50 or Non Champs campaigns without players, and getting screwed by 810 again and again in standard campaigns....maybe for that reason the game is running out of new players....

Please not hate me for my bad english or my comment, it's only my personal opinion, wrong typed xD

even if they had played WoW as their only other MMO they would have known that their claims are disinginuous. I mean.. WoW is an mmo, that resets your progress every 2 years COMPLETELY, has gone through so much class redesign and so many class nerfs, I honestly lost count several expansions ago. now i may be wrong, but Im fairly certain that Flash of the month - came from wow. cause they would do this thing where they would overbuff a class, and everyone would play it, only for them to nerf it to the ground. and they have been doing pretty much for as long as the game existed.

"Flavor of the Month" ahh. Brings back memories.

Well, sorta, so far every class except Shamans have seen the FotM limelight for an entire patch or more. Near the end of WotLK, Ele shamans got a taste of it for a solid 48hrs, and were hot fixed to be the lowest dps class and "fixed" many of the class+spec's features. Poor shamans, while lock has seen the most nerfs in WoW, shamans on all specs get hit with the hardest nerfs. Despite being the most, er was the most balanced class in WoW.

At least ESO hasnt had, nor shows signs of having a 2.0 Death knight or Shockadin mentality. Sure some classes excels in some versus others, but more often tyen not, most are generally and genuinely equal in the hands of average to above average players.

Bad players still are bad even with FotM limelight META buffs and Good to Great+ players make any and all classes and builds even the most nerfed ones appear godly.

First time I heard FotM term was in City of Heroes (just before/after Villians was released) about a month or so before WoW officially launched. Dealing with blaster archetypes dominating in all areas. Until madtermind showed up and took that spotlight for a year or so... been so long since then.

The problem is that they need to continuously nerf us to combat any sort of power increase created by the CP system / strong new sets. This is because of horizontal progression.

The reason other MMOs don't nerf as much is because they just re-tool certain skills entirely when the next expansion drops, or it scales differently due to new levels, or they just nerf it and nobody notices because at least they're getting stronger with the new level cap, gear cap, etc.

With ESO, new expansions don't come with increased level cap, and what little tiny marginal power increase we got with CP is now seemingly gone. Generally speaking, I haven't done more dps in almost 2 years now. The mathematical ceiling has risen, but unless you're in bleeding edge trials groups with perfect coordination, you probably haven't seen a dps increase of more than 2-3k in years, assuming your own skill level has stayed the same. There are exceptions for some class / stat combos, but this is generally true.

From a technical perspective, continuous nerfs may be necessary given the model they've chosen and how difficult or engaging they dictate certain content must be, but it just feels bad being nerfed all the time.

I've made a lot of posts about this in the past, and I'll keep on saying it until it's not true: ZOS needs to rethink horizontal progression, because long term it just isn't fun, and that's the point of any game.

PWI had the best PVP gear cost like a thousand dollars as a base price, and additional money to improve it. I think you could buy the entire thing for around 3 grand.

This gear was so much more powerful than what you could get for free, you could literally roll your face on a keyboard and win.

If going by buffs / nerfs, then your list is wrong.
SWTOR, yeah, mercs and troopers got hit and continue to get nerfs cause players fail to use their stuns and interrupts on VERY obvious cast time abilities. Meanwhile assasins and shadows get more goodies and warriors and sents still two button killing machines... and after nearly all these years later, Bioware still can balance Lightning to function in raids properly.

GWs Necros and Hunters got hit hard due to their pets and never saw a buff again until GW2 launched

CoH/V Blasters and Masterminds were heavily favored for buffs a while (2years) and saw more nerfs then any other archetype when they release the antiheroes 3rd facrion patch.

DCUO, yeah just pick sorcery and bow staff and your top DPS, HEALER and tank while in healer toggle letting your eye ball heal you faster then any mob or llayer can dish out damage in PVE and PVP.

Tera didnt even survive long enough to get a true expansion... was pretty much dead at launch... except for them who like overly exposed young girls.

Shocked you didnt put in UO, teranova, ExCEL, Maplestory, F4F, Toontown, Matrix, ARENA and SWG, DAC, Conan, FFXI, etc

Even Dcuo which was and is a crappy game is more stable than ESO. Yourr builds are fine no matter when you come back.

Hell. If youre definition of stable is nerfing youre builds every 2 to 3 month, then have at it.

For sane people who make there own builds and spend hours and weeks creating effective new and unique builds, this game will waste that time. Some of you have time to waste. Good for you. Mine is valuable and I certainly am not going to pay someone to make my time a complete waste simply because devs want to give the illusion they are

    "Balancing the Game"

    Lmfao!

P.S. look a the list. You didnt think very hard.

If going by buffs / nerfs, then your list is wrong.
SWTOR, yeah, mercs and troopers got hit and continue to get nerfs cause players fail to use their stuns and interrupts on VERY obvious cast time abilities.l, while assasins and shadows get more goodies and warriors and sents still two buttone killing machines.. Mercs and Troops were minimal at best. I did fine with them and the changes were not often at all

GWs Necros and Hunters got hit hard due to their pets and never saw a buff again until GW2 launched GW2 fixes that

CoH/V Blasters and Masterminds were heavily favored for buffs a while (2years) and saw more nerfs then any other archetype when they release the antiheroes 3rd facrion patch. Agreed. But not with consistency of ESO

DCUO, yeah just pick sorcery and bow staff and your top DPS, HEALER and tank while in healer toggle letting your eye ball heal you faster then any mob or llayer can dish out damage in PVE and PVP.
DCUO. You may not have not played DCUO in a while. Pets no longer hit hard anymore. They were nerfed into the ground, but all the powers are now finally on an even playing field

Tera didnt even survive long enough to get a true expansion... was pretty much dead at launch...[/quote] Agreed

I also think Zos is the king and creator of "Worthless Transaction"
Zos was the 1st to create big ticket transaction for a crappy looking mount that did not thing for you in the 1st morrowind.

There are better, older and newer mmos that are more stable than ESO.
