This is not Overwatch. This is not Fortnite. This is not Mortal Kombat. ESO isn't a game where you simply hop on a new character and start having at it with the other end-gamers. Or it didn't use to be. ZOS need to decide if they want to keep it as it was, or make it into one of the games I mentioned. As so often, they seem to have no plan. So they caved to the crown store skyshards. Conceptually there is now little reason not to do the same with story quests, or dungeons, or public delves.

OTOH, I may want those grand overlord skill points on my toons that don't touch Cyrodiil...

The *one* thing I really, really, really wish they would add is a "fastforward the Prophet" skill line. I would pay for that. I enjoy the stories, Akatosh knows I have 15 characters on one account currently going through the content. The one part of it I wish I could avoid is the long-can't-be-skipped-or-sped-up "enter my mind vestige" speech. The first few times, okay. By the last alt it was excruciating. More than a few characters accidentally fell off the floating island due to jumping around while the Prophet slowly went through the speech......

Yeah no. That's not whats happening here. What youre asking for isnt a slippery slope to p2w, its the bottom of the slope. Its p2w. Take that *** to one of those free to play anime mmos with the level boosts and the best in slot gear for cash.

You do realize it's not pay 2 win. That you can get all those skill points by completing the quests; the quests I'd like to skip now that I've "experienced the story".

...also. Skyshard unlock tokens coming in May to the Store. So...ya...where's your moaning about that??

Alts don't really need to unlock the full crafting trees, for instance. That's a lot of freed up skill points.

If you get an alt to 50 and do a DLC or two of quests plus a few dungeons, I think you should be good to go for what an alt needs

According to ESO Skillfactory, I'll need ~390 Skillpoints for each of my characters, with my main needing slightly more to get the Crafting 'Extraction Passives'. I'm not going to spend that kind of gold to swap around skillpoints every few minutes. - I made up a generic Ability Point template and just swap gear and skills around to suite the situation.

ie: Cryodiil, EP/DC about to breach the door? Not in Combat? Swap to bomber or ranged AOE with Slows. Want to just run around in Cyro with a group? Swap to healer. Bored and want some CP? Swap to Tank setup and run dungeons. Want to farm? Swap to speed setup and run around Tamriel

Geeze...try to make the game a bit more alt-friendly and people lose their minds.

EDIT: So they can just get back to doing what they want. Which, if they were buying these 'Alliance Campaign Skips' means they didn't want to do the original story again. Probably wanted a PVP alt or to start in the new expansions (ie Warden and Necro).

Don't really see the need you will get enough skill points to flesh out most alts with the Skyshard unlocks assuming you found most of the skyshards.

Just need to find the ones in Cyrodill but getting sick of the scenic views on the ride to their locations

OP said something about a mere 14 skillpoints and everyone's going on about free level 50s.

Actually, this is what holds me back from using Alternate Chars. Seen the story, thanks. It's mostly nice, but once is enough. It's like reading the same book over and over again. At first you like it a lot, eventually you are going to hate it.
