I PVP in PVE gear and setups. I get killed a lot. I don't complain about it because I know that the only thing keeping me from using an actual PVP setup in PVP (and therefore increasing my chances of survival and of killing other players) is my own laziness. On PC there are addons that make it very easy to switch between different gear, skill, and champion point setups. On console it's obviously a lot less convenient, though.Oh, another person who needs to tell others how to play the game.
It's a valid point.
I'm a PvE player. I work solo or give support to a group.
I am terrible at PvP. I know that.
PvE and PvP are two completely different animals.
PvEers may complain about getting ganked in PvP (lack of skill set), but PvPers refuse to adapt and expect to be carried in PvE.
Not sure why that is, but it is the way things work.
This game is the absolute worst game I have played, to date, in terms of switching skills, CP points, gear (no saved sets) and so on.
Not to mention lack of bag space.
I'm not surprised no one bothers and just charges in, in their PVP gear and set-up.
In fact, I'm surprised anyone doesn't do that.

You do realize there are plenty of addons for this right? Like CP Respec and Wykyd and Dressing Room for skill and gear changes on the fly... Also bag space is limited unless you buy it sure, but over the years of playing I have too much room in my bags, to be honest, and have not once filled everything up with meaningful items/gear.

There is storage options now so it's not as difficult to store extra gear sets as it once was.
Yeah, I have these "storage options" and I am still completely overwhelmed, almost all the time, despite only owning one set of gear that I use for my char.

I have another solution - don't bother with PVP.
Many bad PvE players go to PvP because they are bad.
Assuming that's true they won't last long on PvP either.
PvE is just about learning the mechanics. Once you know them (and everyone else know them too) it's quite easy.
PvP, on the other hand, you never know what to expect and it's way more challenging in every aspect.

Some do, some dont. PvEers do the same thing. Its definitely not a PvE vs PvP thing.
NordSwordnBoard wrote: »It’s a fallacy of to think most PvP players are good at PvE. Many bad PvE players go to PvP because they are bad.
It is also a fallacy to mix alliance rank with skill. Many players have gained a lot of AP via zergs and it merely takes longevity of that behavior to make it to high alliance ranks.
This is not to reflect on all PvP players. There are great PvP players and many are great at PvE. It’s just to say there are many bad players in both PvP and PvE.
That's funny, a common trope I hear from PvE players is how pvp is so awful (players, lag or both) that people go back to PvE. However, neither of us have anything other than anecdotal evidence to support this. Not trying to argue, my experience has generally been the opposite of yours.
I think the bad players that hide in a Zerg deflect the exposure that happens all the time in vet 4 player PvE content. Bad players just hide easier in PvP. They are typically just as proud of alliance rank or BG titles as people who got carried in Dragonstar and wear the title. I see little difference between the two, which makes the animosity they have towards each other hilarious to me.

I guess they figure that you'd want to spend an inordinate amount of real cash to buy fake cash to purchase storage options for overpriced housing that you had to spend a lot of real cash to buy fake cash to purchase so that you would have a place to put your storage options which are very limited in quantity necessitating you spend yet more real cash on fake cash to purchase more housing so that you can spend real cash to get fake cash to purchase more storage options for your limited storage space housing and so forth...

I do both PvP and PvE, and there is no self hatred because of it. My friends get advice from me frequently, in fact I spent time dueling a friend two nights ago to help demonstrate why sustain is important in PvP even if you can melt people fast.
Although we haven't met, you have now heard of a PvPer helping a PvE player practice and learn. I did not gank him or ignore him. There is middle ground. You have to understand helping a player in your dungeon group is going to be more productive than helping your opponent in Cyrodiil. Helping players of your own alliance? I constantly see the GMs of my PvP guilds offering gear runs and such to help improve how successful the group is in Cyrodiil.
I also helped a friend from PvP get his first skin in Malatar when it came out. He enthusiastically changed his setup for PvE, and we still busted his balls about the Aurorans spamming executioner like they were PvPers. His happiness at getting the skin was worth any frustrations we had during the run. The frustrations were the same for all of us, regardless of our preferred content.

Not even close to thinking I am awesome, this is where the toxicity starts is with your comments like this. I do my pledges, get my 35-45K dps and get my keys for my gear. I do not spout off about how great I am and never once have I in this thread(and to my knowledge in this forum). You also have to realize how many casuals play this game and do the same thing as these PVPers you are speaking of and ruin entire vet pledge runs. It is not a one way street that someone ruining a vet pledge with inferior gear/cp/skill is always going to be someone who only PVPs.
I have spent plenty of time in both aspects of this game, PVE and PVP both, as sometimes when you play a game for a lot of hours you get bored with one thing. This game just so happens to let you do one or the other and be able to switch back and forth on the same character to do them.
As far as the constant stream of threads, I am not sure what to tell you. Like in real life if you tell people "drama follow you" maybe it is not the drama maybe it is you. So all of these threads the last two weeks have been from PVE-centric players upset about Cyrodil and now upset about Pledges. So maybe, just maybe, instead of saying the toxicity is following you, maybe you're the toxicity and maybe you need to take a look at yourself and see what you can do to make things better, just a thought though.

Why do I pug a Vet Dungeon? Because I like teaching the mechanics to people that are new to that dungeon. However I can't fix it if tank can't take a hit and dds can't deal damage. Also, I mostly get matched with people that know their thing and it goes smooth. My pug experiences are nice most of the time, it's just that this time it was really obvious that some PvP-only players were there without a clue.
Why do I queue for Veteran since Normal gives reward boxes anyway? Because my healer still needs some Undaunted levels, which are best obtained from vDungeon achievements.
OK, just to clarify, you have an impossible choice, if you furnish (a lot).
There are a lot of different furnishings.
You, typically, don't use them all at once, as soon as you get them, but some are bound to you and others you want to keep, for future projects.
You can store them in your (spare) houses, or you can store them in your bags/bank/storage.
If you do the former, you;
a) Lose housing space (often multiple houses of it) to warehousing furnishings.
I have 35 houses and three of them are, currently, being used as warehouses.
b) Cannot access any of those furnishings, to use, unless you travel to your (multiple) warehouses first and put the items in your bag/bank.
If you do the latter, you obviously don't lose as many houses to storage and you can can then access the furnishings directly, to use in a house you are decorating.
However, you obviously then chew through huge amounts of (very limited) bag/bank/storage container space.
We desperately need a furnishings bag (like a craft bag, but for furnishings).
