Q: Did you have a good time?

A: I had an ok time, It took about half an hour for a dragon to spawn, and i think in total i managed to kill 4 or 5 dragons before the event ended.

Q: Was there always a Dragon spawning that you could chase?

A: No, see previous answer. Altough the spawn rates did pick up after the first half hour.

Q: What did fighting the Dragon feel like with a large group? Small group? Raid?

A: Had a group of maybe 25-35 people trying to kill the dragon at once. Dragon fights feel much better than Dolmens or Geysers. The trash adds die very quickly, but the Dragon is really good at killing people that don't pay attention. I really like that aspect of these fights.

Q: We tried to balance Dragons to around 8 players - did this feel right?

A: Before the event started i killed some dragons with smaller groups. The smaller group fights felt much more enjoyable and balanced. I was able to mostly solo a dragon a few nights ago though, i only had to roll-dodge the light attacks the dragon threw at me and kill him with ranged attacks.

Q: Were you ever in combat when you thought you shouldn’t be?

A: No combat bug was experienced.

Q:Did your framerate drop during the event?

A: Yes, my fps went as low to 25 during the testing. I suspect it was the high amount of players in the area, which is something that will most likely happen when the update goes live when 100 people swarm to do the new content.

There was about 30 or so players around me, and the dragon was flying around and being stationary on the ground. My fps stayed pretty low throughout the fights.

Q :Were you ever kicked to character select?

    No.

    Q: Did you crash?

    A: No.

    • I feel like it may have been more fun if more dragons were spawning/ had shorter respawn times. We were waiting about half an hour at first.
    • After they started spawning again, it would still be a minute or two before one spawned. Only one spawned so it would often be dead by the time a lot of the people got there.
    • Smaller groups of about 4-5 players is a good challenge but more than that and the dragons seem a too easy. They were especially easy with the 20+ people attacking at once during this event. Personally I feel they need a buff to feel like we're fighting dragons, not another world boss.
    • I feel they should be balanced more towards 10-15 people, especially at release. I imagine people will be swarming the dragons the first month of release and they'll melt more than they did today.
    • Framerate dropped minimally, only dropped when there was massive amounts of players nearby.
    • I believe the dragon was in the air when it did drop.
    • I was neither kicked nor crashed.

    ZOS, Gina,

Tested the dragon fights again after your request for testing between 2-4 EDT. It appears to be better. The dragon moved around a little more and the damage dealt was higher. We had a small group (8 -12) and it took us a while to kill it. It was more engaging and required a group of us - which is good. The rewards for killing it were lame. I never criticize without making suggestion though. I think that killing a dragon should be a real draw to all levels of players for quite a while. The way to do that is to make the challenge great and the rewards greater. My recommendations are: rare mats, legendary equipment, extraordinary experience points, and/or huge amounts of gold. Any combination of these to keep new and old players coming back for more.

Did you have a good time?
    It was enjoyable.
Was there always a Dragon spawning that you could chase?
It didn't seem like it. Seemed like Multiple dragons would spawn and they'd be dead within minutes.
What did fighting the Dragon feel like with a large group? Small group? Raid?
Absolutely chaotic. Not in a bad way.
We tried to balance Dragons to around 8 players - did this feel right?
They seemed under powered, defense and offense wise.
Were you ever in combat when you thought you shouldn’t be?
    No.
Did your framerate drop during the event?
    Yes.
If so, what were you doing? What was the Dragon doing?
Fighting the dragon in a large group.
How many players were around you?
    Over 20+.
Were you ever kicked to character select?
    No.
    Did you crash?
    No.

Did you have a good time?
    Yes, it was fun.

Was there always a Dragon spawning that you could chase?
No - there was quite a wait in between spawns.

What did fighting the Dragon feel like with a large group? Small group? Raid?
It was a bit crazy. I think a lot of this had to do with unknown mechanics.

We tried to balance Dragons to around 8 players - did this feel right?
I played with smaller groups last night and it felt about right.

Were you ever in combat when you thought you shouldn’t be?
    No.

Did your framerate drop during the event?
    Yes.

If so, what were you doing? What was the Dragon doing?
Fighting the dragon in a large group. The lowest framerate - when the dragon does a scorched-earth-flyover.

How many players were around you?
A lot. At one point it could have been 25.

Were you ever kicked to character select?
    No.

    Did you crash?
    No.

Did you have a good time?
    Yes

Was there always a Dragon spawning that you could chase?
No. There were some 10, 15 minute long gaps between spawns. Reaching the Dragon was a problem on a couple of occasions because of the terrain.

At one point while I was waiting someone yelled "dragon". I looked up, saw a dragon flying overhead and attacked. Turned out it was my own blue dragon pet. You fooled me there :)

What did fighting the Dragon feel like with a large group? Small group? Raid?
Small group, it felt like I was the focus of its attention too often, not taunting. I was dying too quickly, too often even with high resistance and loads of self-healing.
Large groups, dozens of people, I felt like I didn't make much of contribution.

We tried to balance Dragons to around 8 players - did this feel right?
They feel a bit over-powered for 8 players. That would be a very long fight. The dragon can kill people very quickly, so I'd expect to spend a fair amount of that time dead. I got instakilled a couple of times from a full health bar (example death recap below). Not sure this is appropriate for an 8 person fight.

Were you ever in combat when you thought you shouldn’t be?
    No

Did your framerate drop during the event? If so, what were you doing? What was the Dragon doing? How many players were around you?
Frame rate dropped sharply on one occasion for a few seconds. I was casting spells and weaving as fast as possible. The dragon was on the ground fighting, making lots of flaming aoe's. There were dozens of players there.

Were you ever kicked to character select?
    No

    Did you crash?
    No

Hi all! Just a reminder that we'd like everyone to focus on killing Dragons in Elsweyr today on the PTS from 2-4pm EDT so we can collect some data. While you’re participating, please also equip the Blue Dragon Imp pet so we can gather some technical data on the pet; you can purchase this from the Crown Store.

If you plan on streaming during this time, let us know so we can watch. Also remember this is a test, and things may get a little bumpy at times (but that's the whole point of testing!)

Once the test has concluded, below are some questions from the team that they'd love feedback on:
[*] Did you have a good time?

No I missed the test but do have feed back from testing the first 2 weeks so far.

[*] Was there always a Dragon spawning that you could chase?

Yes when the areas are not crowded with people.

[*] What did fighting the Dragon feel like with a large group? Small group? Raid?

Yes all the above and there are alot of fun with about 8 to 10 people.

[*] We tried to balance Dragons to around 8 players - did this feel right?

Yes but if you were not geared for trials.

[*] Were you ever in combat when you thought you shouldn’t be?

      No not once.

[*] Did your framerate drop during the event?
        Missed it sorry.
[*] If so, what were you doing? What was the Dragon doing?

      Please look above.

[*] How many players were around you?

      Again please look above.

[*] Were you ever kicked to character select?

      No.

      [*] Did you crash?

Yes but not during a dragon fight but zoning from zone to zone.

      Thanks!
