Does anyone have success at putting more than one potion on the quick slot wheel? When I very to use anything other than the one at the top, I can't get it to fire quickly enough, or l end up bar swapping or changing to first person.

Of course frames, easy/lazy/bulk crafting, combat metrics and dressing room

There should be a way to let a target dummy or bosses in trials to let you know what dps you're pulling and what skills and such are doing what kind of damage

And dressing room, I dont feel like swapping out my rele for trash pulls and putting it back on for bosses

When I first started this game, 4 years ago. Performance on Xbox was awesome and I remember some PC players laughing and telling us to wait until we got the Imperial City Update. That is when performance started to be terrible. It’s been better at times and much worst at times. Seems like when there are events going on - more people online- that’s when the performance drops.

We have been ignored for over 2 years. Threads like this have been started and ignored ofcourse if you post on one of those it will be necroing. At some point they had a guy who was suppose to focus on console and that lasted like a month lol.
What happened with that? I didn't hear?

My guess is he said "f this, I'm going back to PC"

Anything suggested in this thread will most likely show up in the crown store, instead of just being added as a QoL for it's own sake.

I second this...be careful what you're asking for...

Even if it is in the Crown Store, at least it's an option. I understand that Dev time is not free (as a Software Developer myself), so if they need to justify the new QoL functionality by putting a price on it then there will be some people who benefit from it. This might open a rift between people who can purchase crowns whenever they want and those who are not financially stable enough to, but at least it would be a step in the right direction for console players in my opinion.

We need another (second) radial quickslot for siege in PVP. With the recent change to not being able to slot siege in combat and the hour long stuck in combat glitch, the need to slot various types siege for different situations is imperative. I don’t even slot food anymore because I need the space. Please please give us a separate quickslot, even if it’s siege equipment only.

How about letting us choose whether or not we want the emote quickslots or siege equipment? I don’t need emote slots in pvp, I can just as easily type in the /emote.

Whatever you wish for they will charge you for it.

Nonsense. They will not charge for hold-to-scroll when selecting style stones. Nor will they charge for making those icons a bit bigger. I know of no game that has ever charged for UI changes.

This is Zeni and Beth. They found a way to charge for free mods. They'll find a way to charge for this too.

Cynicism is clouding your reasoning, I see.

I won't say that isn't to some extent warranted, but this is going a tad over the top, sir. Besides, if this bothers you so much, why are you even here? It doesn't sound like you have anything to contribute to this thread or want to play this game.

Lol it felt more like a bit of f this 20% and f u 80%, the biggest slap in the face is that not once did they even pop into one of the threads or any media to address console fan base. I unsubscribed, I pretty much poke in every now and then to see if game started heading in a good direction and to see if console has had any attention. I am very salty and sour about but, whatever, other mmos on console will pick up the slack.

You wished for account wide skyshards or anything so you don’t have to constantly stare at a second screen and look at the monkey’s paw you got.

They could have just given you unlocated skyshards on the map, but no there were those who didn’t want to go get them. They could have made them account wide, but why do that when they know there are those who will pay.

So be careful what you wish for.

I wished for text search for guild traders. It was added free of charge, with additional features I was not expecting.

I said this before in another thread, this is not what we wished for. We wished for a well-designed Game UI. I for one want to actually play the game, including finding skyshards, but I should not need my mobile device to accomplish this. It's like relying on an old-fashioned paper address book because your cellphone can't store telephone numbers. Who designs software like that??

I'm sorry to say, but it is not the wishes of console players that ZOS was listening to, then or now. It's the wishes of PC players who already have add-ons, and want even shorter shortcuts. And because those shorter shortcuts are now being offered, they can act like console players should be satisfied with the choice: either thumb through a paper address book, or else they call all our friends for us so we don't have to ever bother talking to them again.

This is not how I would use my cellphone, and it's not how I want to play the game.

All it shows is how little ZOS actually understands the console experience.

I don't object to paying for things, since I buy a lot of things in the Crown Store. What I mind is paying to skip -- to not play -- parts of the game, like skyshard hunting. I know it's a radical idea, but I prefer paying in order to play the game.

There are a lot of reasons I feel this way. If you pay for Dev time by skipping parts of the game that are unwanted/unpleasant, more Dev time may be devoted to creating parts of the game that are unwanted/unpleasant. Or at the very least, less time will be devoted to introducing game features that are wanted and pleasant.

And we on console have more reason than anyone to be concerned with this, since besides the Devs, there is no one else (i.e. add-on authors) to create those features. If they don't, no one will.

In other words, I want a game that is fun to play, not fun to avoid. The money is irrelevant.

I would have been willing to pay for this with no issues. It's a great model for what QoL should actually look like: UI improvements + added functionality.

But then PC already had add-ons to handle all of this, so it was the thing those players were least likely to pay for. Which again just shows how different the console perspective is, and which group ZOS will focus their marketing decisions on.

They have fallen so far behind on console issues that eso has basically become a poor mans console port of the pc version. Not user friendly at all, to be quite honest I would imagine even the pc version without addons would be almost as horrendous. I have said it before, if I was a pc player I would never pick up this game up due to all the other options available.

This might be total speculation, but I feel like there has to be some sort of legality issue with having add-ons in the game. When you play other games on console (specifically Xbox One) you will find games that have the ability to utilize add-ons. From memory, every one of these games has been single player only though.

I've played since launch, and I've said since launch that this game probably shouldnt be on consoles.

Sure there have been a few optimizations that have helped. We used to complain about black characters as we load in, now that is just the norm. We now only see a limited amount of skill effects.

Every little new QOL addition adds more strain to the hardware limitations of a console. And having dozens of variable non-combat pets, outfits, etc. only makes the experience worse.

In one of the recent Dev interviews (I think it was with the Tenets Podcast) he flat out said they struggled to get some of the Necro's new animations and effects to work on console. Think about the performance right now, today, and how it's going to take another hit in Elsweyr.

I'd like to see a performance mode similar to turning down sliders on PC.

Or better yet, an official statement that they will make the game perform better on the next gen of console.

As a former Xbox player, I agree.

Performance on consoles is a joke.

It got the point where some cities just never loaded textures.

Switch to PC was the best move ever for me, and I now have more on PC than I ever did on console, despite only having been here for a few months.

I know some players who have switched, but a larger number who have simply left to play other games. I'm happy for people who successfully start over, but if I decided to leave Xbox I'd just leave the game.

Depends how intractable the hardware issues are.

I obviously don't enjoy the performance issues, and they do keep me from wanting to buy new content (that my system can't handle), but at the same time I don't expect the dev team to be miracle workers. It's when they deliberately pass on a relatively light feature that my antiquated phone can already handle, like marker points on the Zone map, that I start to feel frustrated and a bit betrayed. If they can't give us better performance due to hardware constraints, they should at least give us the small improvements that are perfectly feasible.

    I hope so too.

I see the advantages of building a $700 PC that will perform far better than my console. And it's not the CP grind or finding new guilds that I don't want to start over with. It's my max level crafter and all of the sets I've collected over the years that I will absolutely not do again on any platform.

As far as performance issues, I switched to the Xbox One X with an external SSD and hard-wired fiber, and that significantly helped the performance. Granted, you're still at the mercy of the server but I was seeing a lot better performance before I took a break from the game recently.

Biggest issues with console (xbeu) as I can see

    * no combat metrics
    * No mass skinning fish/deconning mats
    * crafting is a PITA
    * Map doesn’t zoom in as much as it does on PC
    * Terrible kick in on la/ha’s - sometimes will not trigger/require

We need better, more customizable buff/debuff and uptime tracking, and detailed breakdowns on the target dummy. That would go a long way toward helping console players improve their rotations to the point that more can complete harder content. Especially if that content is being designed to challenge PC players who already have those advantages.

I would also love to get a fix for the cross-eyed bug. The release of Elsweyr will mark its one-year anniversary, 12 full months of playing a cross-eyed character surrounded by cross-eyed NPC's.

The bug showed up originally with Clockwork City, when a new type of character texture loading pipeline (I don't know the technical details) was introduced. The pipeline turned out to be causing infinite loading screens, and ZOS eventually removed it. When they did that, the cross-eyed bug magically went away again.

Everything was fine until Summerset, when I'm guessing they must have reintroduced some improved version of what they unsuccessfully tried to roll out with CWC. Because the bug returned, and has been with us ever since.
