Because resto costs 125 ult?

Wasn't the resto ulti 90 ult points? With major protection gone, I don't see what the big deal would be putting it back to 90.
As always I’d suggest to have an offensive and defensive morph. Offensive gives max mag and more damage, defensive significantly less damage, protection and stun.

So wrong. Both morphs give protection. The damage coefficients is the same for both morphs. You can get more damage form Northerm storm because of the magicka increase but it depends on your build how much more damage you will get.
The radius of this ulti should be 8m and not 10. For example standard is 8m and is ground AoE which is way worst than PBAoE.
Well, the snare gets reduced from the ridiculous 70% to a more reasonable 30%. The real issue with Permafrost is that it’s just invisible with all the AoE going on in a group vs group fight. The moment you realize it’s often too late. I agree though that the major protection is a bit much.

Permafrost should definetly show a large red AoE similar to Eye of the Storm.

You didn't get it, I was suggesting how an ideal layout would look like. Right now there's no realy trade off when choosing the stunning morph

And what are you going to give to our damage skills for yet another crippling loss? And what's even better for you is you can just block our burst damage tool!
warden is being dealt with next patch. while removing the AoE major protection is something that would be better for the game, we severely need buffs in the form of new frost damage skills AND improving on swarm and arctic blast.

Getting away from permafrost is not the problem, the main issue lies in groups that have one warden which spamms permafrost that provides major protection to the whole group WHILE doing damage, stunning and slowing enemies.
Either have a defensive group utility tool with major protection and stuns, or do damage and slow enemies but lack protection at the same time. If I'm playing group pvp content, we are always running at least 1x permafrost because it relieves the whole group from pressure
You wanna know a secret to dealing with Permafrost, assuming you can't get out of it?Hold block. At least for the first couple seconds, as it'll stop the stun and significantly blunt the damage. Spend the rest of the duration dealing with healing and buffs, or after Elsweyr - movement.
Permafrost is a class defining skill, please don’t touch.
