Main story quest bugged, NPC's are not responding. Manual reset required. *SOLVED*

I requested to be called, and around 2 hours later a woman named "Joanna?" called me and solved my issue by abandoning my mainstory quest for me. She's my heroine. :)

THE QUEST HAVE TO BE RESET MANUALLY SERVERSIDE, YOU CANNOT ABANDON MAINSTORY QUEST, WICH IS A DESIGNCHOICE BY...*DRUMS* YOU!

Now go over to the phone and call one of the server admins and tell him/her to manually reset my quest.

So I did a quest in Harborage, and I got an invite for a dungeon while I was watching some "scene" where the NPC's was talking, I traveled to the dungeon thinking I would continue doing this quest later. But when I came back the NPC's are stuck completly unresponsive. Logged out - didnt help, went offline ~3 hours - didnt help, leveled up - didnt help, asked for help from Zenimax Support - didnt help only got some stupid generic answer that I should stay and watch the scene before leaving, duh...
And another dude from support gave the brilliant reply that I should abandon the quest and take it again...Since when can you abandon a main story quest??

Been waiting for days to get this resolved, and the support are increadibly slow to respond, and once the do respond it's something that wont help me at all, you could aswell have told me to stand on one leg and bark like a dog...
Shouldnt the support dudes and dudettes have some kind of basic knowledge about the game?
Any ape can copy/paste from a FAQ to the customers, and once they get a more tricky issue wich requires a simple reset of a quest the ticket have to be escalated. Dont you trust your own support enough to let anyone reset things like this?

Had to vent abit.

    I'll update this once again, it still havent been reset from Zenimax side wich is the only way to resolve this issue. The last reply from the support took me back to step 1 as they repeated their first reply saying I should abandon the quest, and try to relog...
    What kind of support is this??

    My main story (pick a companion to die @ Harborage) never updated after the NPCs telling me its a hard decision. I have no Main Quest anymore. STUCK. STUCK. STUCK.

    Going to have to wait until maint man... it is terrible and stupid, but that is what it is. I would have liked them to reboot at least on Sunday, but Im sure you can thank all the complainers on us missing out on that opportunity.

    @ZOS_JordanH can you help us with this, I have searched the forums and have not seen any acknowledgement of this bug. I saw that you helped others with the Coldharbor quest, and this one is much worse as we cannot advance to VP content.

    What the hell are doing the technical support? Plz make a reboot, or apply a patch quickly... Many players are ...... because they are waiting you.

    I'm also on the main quest (level 43 one) where I have to find an npc named Valum Galerion (spelling?), and the quest says to find him in the capitol city which I figured was Daggerfall since my faction is DC. He's not there though. He's not in the mage guild either. I happened to use the wayshrine to Wayrest just to check and sure enough he was like right outside the Wayshrine there but I can't talk to him.

    He has a quest icon over his head but I cannot click on him or talk to him at all. I've relogged so many times. I can't abandon the quest because it's a main story quest.

    I cannot progress my main storyline.

    Hi dude. Yes, you are stuck on your main quest like many players ....
    Just have to wait that zenimax doing something.
    We cant go in veteran's zones for continue....

    But I still wonder why the support reading the e-mails have such a hard time to help players?

    For anyone running into a bug wich aint resolved by restarting client I would recommend requesting to be called, they can atleast do something and it doesnt take long time for them to do it either, took me 2 minutes of talk before it was solved. Compared to the 8 e-mails back and forth (counting both mine and ZOS) on the same ticket number without a solution.
