My advice to people who generally stick to PvE content is this. Learn to PvP and KILL the trashy players. Use it as motivation. It might seem like a very high mountain to climb but it’s not. ALL the fools I saw genuinely messing with questers were garbage players.

I believe many at least recognize the opportunity and make the attempt. The loudest whiners seem to be those who don't want the same opportunity, they just want the same outcome.

I’ve seen people doing trashy things in the towns. I just thought PvEers where entitled crybabies but crappy people ARE messing with people in ways they just can’t to people who know how to PvP.

What you questers are going through is what EVERYONE goes through when they first enter Cyro. It’s why seasoned PvPers have so little sympathy for questers.

We're not going to learn PVP'ing in a week... nor do we have the skills for it, nor do we have the better alliance skill tree which is an advantage. Plus, even a regular PVP'er can take out several PVE'ers in one go. There are so many reasons why it simply doesn't work. Why not just leave them be, get their quests done, and be on their way? It's not even PVP as the other player isn't fighting - it's relentless slaughtering. If you say fight back... well.. getting hit twice and you're dead doesn't leave a lot of time to do much.

Allright. I would like to ask you one thing. Would you enter a warzone, wearing a soldiers uniform and expect to not get shot at? No you wouldn't. When you go to a trial, first you prepare and work to be able to finish it. It is the same with pvp. I know that you would like to have it easy - to get your rewards handed over with a kiss to your palm. But that is not how the world works. Why should you get for free that which others have to work hard to get?

The PVP'ers are having to work hard to get it?! Are you serious? Prior to the event, I did dailies on another character to get a needed skill.. this for one took a long time! BUT I never saw a damn PVP'er doing a single daily PVE Town quest... funny that?! Now it's those "silly little gold boxes" to be rewarded with.. they are all of a sudden doing these town quests. What.A.Suprise.

And no, I wouldn't go into a warzone full stop. This is a game, not some war where my life is in real jeopardy. I don't see why it's SO hard for PVP'ers to not kill innocent people... again... not even PVPing.. it's scummy AP farming. You all talk about PVP - but you're more focused on picking people off than actual PVPing.

Finding not one but three pve guilds to do progressive trials with, took me not 3 months but 3 minutes. There is a thread for that. As for preparation time, we had much much more than a week. You can do it within a single evening.
All you had to do was:
    1. Watch a YouTube video.
    2. Queue for a vet dungeon that drops the head piece of monster set of your choice (Pirate Skeleton gives the best defense fyi)
    3. Get crafting materials if you don't have them. Buying them is the fastes and quite cheap unless you wan't everything golded out.
    4. Ask in your carebear guild to have it crafted or craft it yourself.
    5. Analyze a 10 minute YouTube video on how a 1vXer is able to 1vX.
    6. Practice your kill combo on a dummy.

Thats it! You are ready enough. The rest is just getting the experience in actual fights. You won't be plowing through elite players but you will have more than a fighting chance against mediocre PvPers who load camp people.
And all of that with less hassle than making a pve build for vet trial and practicing a rotation.
How do I know? Because I have done both of these.

I think that people do not see the real problem. The problem is that in Cyrodiil there are these same cities with short quests that should not be there. If the rules of the event focus on pvp, then these small quests should not drops out of the box.
PVE players would simply buy pages.
ZoS pls just delete these quests that nobody needs after the event. They only generate vine and problems.

You’re mad because I enjoy farming you and you keep crying about it therefore you resort to personal insults because I’ve made over 4 mil AP this event farming people like you.
Sounds like you’re upset 🙂. I’m happy however, I think I’m going to buy purple jewlery with all this nice AP so I can deconstruct it and sell the purple platings to people like you so I make even more gold. Enjoy being farmed this event. PS. Welcome to cyrodiil.

It's okay. It's okay... It's a safe zone here Frostz.

TLDR BUT I already agree with the post from the first paragraph.

Here’s how I tell a PvEr from a PvPer tho.
If my frags hit 8-10k on someone.. PvPer. If my frags hit 14-16k on someone.. PvEr.

If my curse hits 5-6k.. PvPer. If it hits 9-10k.. PvEr.

Idk who cries more... PvErs in PvP or Shock (if you PvP you know the full name) In general.

    GG! Love the post :)
