You can't reason with some of these people. They get off on ruining other people's fun.

Even if I try my best to symphatize with you opers comment like this make me wonder what is this fun you talk about. Take pvp out of pvp zone to make it less fun. Maybe it is time you participate in this pvp event as it should be treated.

I feel that many pve players now doing the town quests aren't used to all the salt and butthurt experiences Cyrodiil can offer. This is basically whining about getting killed in pvp zone, I have much experience about getting killed and all players who have played pvp much have probably got killed quite much in the long run. Sure getting killed isn't fun, but it's not worth a thread either. If I play solo and a large group runs over me and kills me, there's no point making a thread of it and tell they shouldn't do it for me. My options are, kill all of them alone, which won't happen unless all of them disconnect. I can run away or go hiding, which I won't because my playstyle isn't running away no matter the situation and I don't play nightblade class. I can group up and even the numbers, then I get more likely the annoying long loading screens, and usually there's some annoying or unhelpful player in the group which leads me to immediately leave the group and go back to solo mode. Last option is simply just stay away from Cyrodiil. My options in Cyrodiil are quite similar to pve town questers, sure I wouldn't get attacked in towns as likely as some pve player, many things could matter when some ganker evaluates the situation, previous fight situations between players if these's been any obviously. If the target is completely new name in Cyrodiil and has some pve title, then it's most likely relatively easy target. Some very experienced players don't use any titles or could have volunteer title with 5 stars. Higher cp player is likely to be more experienced than lower cp player, simply in order to get higher cp the player has played more, of course the lower cp could have played more pvp and have better gear and abilities for pvp than the higher cp player. These visible things still matter when players evaluate other players before attacking them.

Yeah nah, as an experienced PvPer I completely agree with you. People who are out here attacking PvE questers are just awful. They're not doing it to farm AP since you can make that more easily anywhere else on the map, they're not doing it for the challenge because people who exclusively PvE aren't even running around in impen armor, let alone anything else intelligent, and that basically just leaves "assbutt factor" for motivation.

I remember when in another MMO I was a PVPer, I always tried to help questers being ganked, it was even fun to ruin the easy kills.

But I also never understood why PVEers are so silly and insist on being cattle for the slaughter, just for some silly rewards.
    Recremen wrote: »
You can't even shame them because they like being social outcasts, it's quite sad.
The best thing is to ignore sociopaths, they relish others pain. Thus, these threads shouldn't be made, and PVers shouldn't go to Cyrodiil other than to PVP, even when ZoS is encouraging.

I was on an AD character in Cheydinhal earlier today doing dailies. Dozen or so EP all being chill (ty guys). Wasn't until 20 plus EP that it started to get messy.

I got exactly opposite experience: EP and DC folks (and few nice yellows, too) were doing quests together, but around 6 "pro-bullies" from AD camped both quest givers and wasted our time for full 3 hours - I hope your tiny bananas will fall off, mr NextSmallThing & Co. (not exact name, so hold your "naming and shaming" horses). The funny thing is, if I ever do PvP, I play for AD, but I wanted to help few newbs from my guild on their first journey to Cyro and jumped on my EP chap. Well, the next time your yellow 455 needs help, talk to the hand because the face don't wanna hear it anymore.
Congratulations, you just discouraged more of your potential "freshmeat", and your banana buddies, too. You can go back to smelling your own farts now. And don't give me that crap about "PvP zone", those are just sorry excuses for being a jerk.

If you're doing PvE in Cyro at any time, you have expect to be attacked at any moment - a lot will leave you alone, but many give no quarter - no matter what. And some have been actively looking for you.

    That's just how Cyro is.

I was doing dailies at Bruma this morning while DC were trying to take it back lol. At Cropsford, I got a nice whispered ty from an EP player when I killed a ganker when doing some dailies - clearly this guy had been griefing him.

And, to me, the additional threat is all part of the fun. I'm finding this a lot more fun than the WB quests.

Sadly a lot of PvPers are made up of mindless hoards who just run around in zergs attacking anything that moves. For some reason they think it's satisfying to outnumber someone a gazillion to 1 and then beat them into the ground like packs of savage dogs. I don't get it either. It's kind of pathetic to be honest. And the only reason they enjoy it is because they are trolls who derive some kind of sadistic pleasure at the thought they are killing something controlled by an actual person and causing them grief. It's the only explanation. Because there is certainly nothing else they could enjoy about such a dull one-sided contest.

If you ask me, the best thing to do is not complain about getting killed. Treat it as you would a npc boss that’s giving you grief. Pick yourself up, then either regroup, try a different tactic, or come back later. The minute you start complaining in zone, whispers or even worse, the forums, you’re empowering the other player(s). I’m pretty sure one would get quite bored killing the same player over and over and not getting a reaction. My 2 cents. Cheers

Just read this comment from a PVE healer on reddit referring to a dps who was resetting a boss fight on accident:

"...vote kick always corrects bad behavior :D..."

I have been VK'd from pugs for dumb *** like this before, and why I have zero sympathy for any PVEers entering cyrodiil to complete ANY kind of quest. You want other people to perform optimally in your PVE huh? No time for Low DPS or people resetting boss fights huh? We should L2P before entering PVE huh?

That's pretty sound advice, you should L2P before entering Cyrodiil :)

I'm a PvEr as I am crap at PvP, too old, reflexes too slow, however, I decided to do the battlegrounds as I could do with a few AP. It was fun, until we were all stuck there for 15 min waiting for players to never turn up and had to bail. In two battlegrounds I got 16 kills, I suspect those I killed were worse than me and certainly not PvPers or I'd have been toast. It was fun though and a big ego boost that an old git like me could get the better of some of the younger guys.

As for those like the OP asking PvPers to leave them alone, LMAO, all you've done with this thread is ensure they don't! It's a PvP zone, expect to get wiped, but fight back, you may surprise yourself like I did tonight!

No one answered the question I asked above, but I did find the answer: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/469558/hotfix-4-18-gift-boxes-for-cyrodiil-board-quests

Which is great. As long as the actual PVP quests work, I'm good. I'll happily fill up a week of those. Actual PVP I'm fine with. Harvesting players like wheat while they're talking to a quest giver, however, is utterly scummy. But I don't have to deal with the slime who do that, so cool.

Dear ZOS this week 3 event is just lame and I cannot say I enjoy it.

Once again you can thank zos for this. PVP is boring. the same ring around the rosie siegeing the inner keeps. The only times you go take towns is for a spawn point or to buy gear.. But places like cheydinhal and chorral see no combat.. Even bruma and the rest see very little. Pvp needs another zone, but more than that we need more incentive to fight at other places. I mean i enjoy it, but not everyone else does.

Back in the day you could have pvp encounters in so many ways, but zos has removed a lot of it through certain changes and overall pvp performance decline.. You had people grinding in delves like cracked wood, people questing in towns for XP, people running dolmens for lich, even a couple more.. Thats all gone now.. So when an event like this happens it can be fun to fight at those places.. That being said, some people just like killing lower levels or people who dont know how to pvp. Guess it just depends on how you play.

Forum PvEers still able to complain about PvP during the PvP week, why not.

You can run away or don't show hostility but you can't prevent a PvPers to attack you since we are unpredictable.

When we attack you PvErs, it's not because you are an easy target but because you have fresh blood and also for the pleasure to smash the PvE community.
