Your mileage may vary. I haven't started the town quests this year yet (probably won't due to burnout), but last year on the noncompetitive campaigns (shor and sotha sil) most players didn't attack each other and if you accidentally attacked someone just holding block usually resolves the situation.

Of course, I still took precautions: invisibility pots, stealth, and changing campaigns when needed. I was even able to get the achievement associated with completing all the town quests. Of course, there were times where I had to fight. A PvP zone is what it is.

They use pots that break your invisibility (tried using this on shor and sotha sil, didnt work for long),
Full tank gear, doesnt work they chase you like a dog after a postman, you will get tired of it before they get tired and u will say damn I give up.
The best way we dealt with is (ye we grouped up cause we got annoyed) was to send 2 people to lure them around and than soem stealthy guys grabbed the quests than they shared them and same process for delivering them, this way we managed to get all quests done in cheydinhal so that is the best solution for now even though it is annoying...

I was on an AD character in Cheydinhal earlier today doing dailies. Dozen or so EP all being chill (ty guys). Wasn't until 20 plus EP that it started to get messy.

This is ridiculous. I have no intention of participating in the dungeon part of the event, because I find PVE extremely dull. You won’t find me complaining about being forced into PVE, though, as this is a FIVE WEEK event with multiple ways/opportunities to earn boxes.

Don’t want to die in a PVP zone? Then don’t visit any PVP zones, and certainly don’t rage at PVPers for killing other players.

This is not about raging about being killed in pvp, it is all about people acting like swines if you compare it to previous years so here I am asking wth happened in the past year that community changed so far?!

Tip for Cheydinhal, always sneak up to the building with balcony and search the upstairs, years ago there were usually someone hiding and waiting for easy kills. Also the quest, where you need to lockpick a chest nearby the town, provides very m0ist opportunity to gank the lockpicker. Obviously the moments when you're getting or returning the quest are the moments when probability for attack is very high.

Sounds like a great a teamwork and great fun in comparison to chance to get piece of low-res low-poly motif without effort otherwise.

Report gankers in chat - help will likely come.
This definitely works, at least I often travel to such towns. Gankers are mostly there to cause some butthurt and would get more ap easier from somewhere else, this opens an opportunity for me to cause butthurt for the ganker, I even have my decoys there returning quests.

It wasn't as enjoyable as you think to watch 2 comrades die for the sake of us getting/delivering 1 quest.

I'm not entirely clear on all this: Is it only the dailies that get you reward boxes? Or can the event be done with only PVP-board quests that are turned in at the PVP board? PVP quests can mostly be done more than once per day, but I'd assumed ZOS would make an exception for them during this event because they'd just plain have more sense than to force players into being sheep for the slaughter.

PVE in a PVP zone is a dubious idea at best. PVE that requires you to make yourself farmable by PVPers who are low enough to gank you while you turn the quest in is just spectacularly bad game design.

Most PVPers enjoy the challenge and competition. But far too many just get off on ruining things for others, and such people should never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever be catered to.

Five years ago, the game launched with the unfortunate decision to have content that left players vulnerable to the players who should never be catered to. Good designers and good people at ZOS would be distancing themselves from that regrettable decision, not funneling more players into it.

To state the obvious, if you don't want to fight/get killed by other players, don't go into a PvP zone. Now personally I won't bother going out of my way to kill players that have no hope of beating me, but some people get a thrill out of that. It's the nature of the beast.

Maybe cause there is far more PvE players than PvP players?
Also one more point: I do not prevent PvP players from doing PvE stuff event with me, heck I even carry some through dungeons, world bosses, give them for free outfit styles/motif styles/furnishing blueprints etc etc.
So why even though we have no way of preventing PVPers from doing PvE Events they can prevent us from doing PVP events?
EDIT: it is not even PvP event, cause in the end we can do PvE quests to get rewards.

Cheydinhal is my favorite town, as a Pact player i used to do the town quests there often while leveling up years ago. There's been much salt and butthurt in Cheydinhal, but also many glorious moments and improvement in my gameplay. I remember one situation when I was there with my first character imperial stamina dragonknight, I was still quite n00b then, but I had just improved my sets and weapons to gold and had enough experience playing with my build. Some experienced DC nightblade tried to gank me, I was ready for him and got my poison dots on him, I was quite tanky and had sword and shield on, nb was very confident and just tried to execute me instead of going back to stealth and trying again. Well my poisons and heroic slashes got him down, I was surprised I got him down and that was definitely one of those moments I knew my gameplay was improving back then. I didn't sweep his face or do any other emotes, DC player sent me message, no whining but more like he was little surprised and gg type of message, he also sent me some items. This was very positive and weird situation in Cyrodiil overall. He's still on my friends list, but has mostly quit ESO I think, he gave me 1,1 mil gold when he quit even we played on different sides in Cyrodiil. This happened long ago when alliance colors actually meant something. So being respectful towards enemies on your glorious moments might be rewarded at some point, no need to be arsehole always just because you can.

Correct, most of them are m0ist chickens who avoid the actual fighting. In most cases, if these players fail their noble gank attempt, they go hiding or try to find the nearest tree to hug hard, they might send some "ur bad zergling" or similar content message from the grass level if they fail to run away.
