The stuck in combat bug is one thing but sometimes you are in combat rightfully and need to change something. Like quickslots especial siege in pvp. or someone in your group gets attacked while you still have not put the right skills on your bar(dunegeon). Adjust your build in a battleground to deal better with a special group. Change skillS in a keep fight to better fight to protect the breach. :..

    Agreed. There’s no reason we shouldn’t be able to do things like mount, change skills, etc... while in combat.
    Looking for any guildies I used to play with:

    This is pretty good reason to not being to switch skills in combat. But this whole in combat status is ridiculous.

    1. Make in combat status dependent only on player, not their group or target.
    2. Bind combat status directly to damage dealt and received, no other conditions, that's all we need.

    Problem solved.
    I'm done with this game because of ZOS pushing us into Vengeance, because they don't know how to fix Cyrodiil.

    Idk if it was mentioned in patchnotes, but currently on pts when you have in-combat status but don't receive damage you can change skills/quickslots.

    all the need to do is fix that damn bug, changing skill in the middle of combat is a bad idea.
    combat reset could be lower also, what is the point of being locked in combat, also cyro guard/mage npc line of sight and attack range is riddiculous

    I could see a mount capability with a long initiation or interrupt mechanic, something like:
    • You can mount after 4 seconds and/or
    • You can mount if no one has attacked you/vice versa (no damage events) in the last 2 seconds

    MAYBE this could also work for skill swapping, but I could see it easily abusable (I honestly could see both being abused)

    Should make it area based instead of timer based.

    If there are no players around you for like say 80-100m.

    Timers will be exploitable. A fixed radius will not.

    Make Rush of Agony "Monsters only." People should not be consecutively crowd controlled in a PvP setting. Period.

    Somewhere in the range of 30-60 seconds without giving or taking damage or heals should remove you from combat regardless of other conditions.

    Sadly, that other 1 time that it does make a difference, the person who lost (and didn't macro swap their skills) will blame the other player.

    That would be awesome, though. Horses would actually be useful, along with that Adept Rider set or whatever it's called.

    This bug should have been priority 1 to fix like 4 years ago, and it should have been a very easy fix to just force you out if combat.

    It has not been fixed. For no apparent reason I can understand they do not want players to drop combat easily, even though every player hates this.

    Honestly, if someone on their new team reads this, this is easy love. Fixing this is a 1000 point slam dunk with the player base.

    While Zos did finally acknowledge they added this bug to the game last year but I have not seen an update from Zos on this issue since November 2018.

    It would seem Zos does not have this set as a priority. It would seem to be an easy fix to just revert the change they made preventing us from swapping out skills in combat if we had avoided damage for a given period of time. Then again, this another example of Matt Firor's genius and his amazing managerial skill. /s

    When you mount in combat your mount starts at 0% stamina. Problem solved. Can't be abused but it would circumvent in combat bug.

    I would just like to mount after combat has ended, instead of having to run halfway across the map. Maybe they do this on purpose to slow the game down.

    Again, all they should do is to bind "In combat" status only to our character not group members and make it that only condition that needs to be checked is damage dealt or recieved. If you didn't recieved damage or didn't dealt any damage in last 10s you're out of combat.

    The reason why they can't deal with fixing it are probably recursive functions in their code which in certain circumstances leads to creating infinite "loop". If we would simplify to maximum condition there would be no problem with this issue. But since ZOS is stubborn and prefers to stick with their broken solutions instead of making complete rework...
    I'm done with this game because of ZOS pushing us into Vengeance, because they don't know how to fix Cyrodiil.

    if the guy wants to get on his horse and run away in middle of a fight, i think he should be allowed to.
    no shame in running away from a fight that you aren't equipt to handle, let him get his friends and better gear and come back later when hes better able to handle me.
