Edit: On the plus side, you can always purchase homes....

What especially notable is when this happens on console, so nobody can say go tweak/upgrade your PC

It's not that you don't have a point, however nothing is guaranteed to ever change when people relegate themselves to their circumstances without protest.

You also might consider, not all of the voices complaining about lag in PvP are one and the same. You have the original voices of those who still play and PvP since PC early access, and then you have newer voices every year adding to or validating prior complaints about PvP lag and loadscreen issues. And when new players join ESO when Elsweyr comes out, they'll begin to echo those same sentiments, regardless of what complaints about the game people made before them.

There's a saying, "One's silence is guaranteed to fall on deaf ears."

It can also be said, silence confirms satisfaction of the state of things the way they are.

Although it's been a very long time coming, hopefully we'll see some positive fruit when the change to how Imperial City is linked to Cyrodiil.

Apparently they give you a "20 minute grace period" when you log out before you need to queue again upon logging in. Did you wait longer than 20 minutes?

Not entirely sure to be honest. Still, a "grace period" when logging into your account sounds dumb for an MMO. Queues to get into Cyrodiil I can completely understand, but to log into your account...

Oh I agree, but just wondering because that is what they have stated and I've not actually tested it out myself. They really must get to upgrading their servers pronto.

Eventually, the playerbase is to blame for unrealistic expectations. Not that the desire to correct the issue is unrealistic but as this person pointed out, lag has been a "feature" for YEARS. The game will not get rid of it and if you haven't come to terms with this fact then the fault is on you, not Zo$.

I have the same stances for the console community. Quit asking to be considered equal as PC. The company has made their stance fairly clear at this point and if you cannot see where they stand in regards to console play, then the fault is with the player and not the game.

And....dead. x.x You see a loading screen they see some silly player that is just frozen or not moving. Easy pickings.
Yeaaah annoying when this happens. Since you said Cyrodiil was barely populated at the time I'm not sure why it happened.

I know it's probably hard to understand, especially considering the constant complaints over the years from PvPers, but they still seem relentless in their efforts to log on and play.
Truth is, ESO offers the best PvP experience you can find in an MMO (from my personal experience, and when it works). The combat system is second to none when it isn't plagued with input lag.
I guess I'm so persistent because I want to see it get better, and I'm so vocal about it for the same reason. If I didn't care then I'd be silent, or go somewhere else.

I haven't played ESO since November. I keep up on the forums hoping to see some positive change in the forums performance-wise, but sadly never happens. I agree...if performance is an issue and you'd like to truly see it improve...walk away. Stop sticking up for a broken game..

As far as the PC/Console comment...how ridiculous. I've never seen any console player asking to be "equal" with the PC. We would just like a game that functions....and according to these forums, we ARE equal in that, whether you like it or not. Final Fantasy can do it for both console and PC...even cross platform works in that game, no reason it should be such a chore for ESO.

What a uncalled for elitist *** comment...

This has little to do with PC. My PC runs Witcher3 on ultras+some mods without single fps drop. Meanwhile in ESO I have separate template of user_settings which I use when going to vtrials, with all effects turned off, low textures, turned off shadows, and only that allows me to have more or less stable 50-60 FPS in small closed room on twins in vMol, though I can't even figure out what can be eating FPS so hard in that room. So there is a lot of bad coding here and there (not everywhere!), which just eats your processing power no matter what.

Looks like a lot of Latency is causing your problem. Console? Does Console have the ability to display FPS/Latency in the Settings as PC/MAC?

Unfortunately thats just how PVP plays on PS4. ZOS knows it’s that bad, they just fail to do anything about it.

Only time I have a long load time is RIGHT after a patch once I load up once it's about 10 seconds from character select. Wish people would also understand just because eso can run on your pc does not mean it's not struggling to load it.

You moved to fast, the game did not have time to load all things so had to display a load screen while loading all the things. Next time try moving slower.

So, for example, NA primetime in PvP is considered to be about 6pmEST -9pmEST, but the Oceanic primetime begins at around 1amEST~.

Hopefully the server upgrades they're doing help.

If a game was lagging so much for me, I would definitely stop playing it. It's unplayable.

This video you shared with the long loading screen is a feature at this point. Lots of people have complained about the same thing, and the main ZOS-made thread for long loading screens has been around since November 2017:

It's April 2019 now lol. I can attest that it actually has gotten worse since then and I've had the same loading screens overland and in pve instances when it used to only ever happen in PvP. There's random loading screens doing writs or world bosses sometimes and you just get kicked. There's another bug where you can get a long loading screen for no reason in Cyrodiil then teleported through the map and through the walls and out of the keep. I posted a video of it here but nobody from ZOS ever responded. It's happened randomly again to me and other guildies.

They already said that they will fix their servers and game performance problems and they are "looking into it" lol. In the meantime, I've unsubbed and am waiting for new content & actual performance improvements. At least this game doesn't have mandatory ESO+ subscription, so it's possible to play as an MMO without paying extra monthly for a laggy experience. Just hop on as you feel like it and all you need is the base game / expansions.

Thanks to the loading screens I had a great 1 vs X yesterday and won. Those X were probably in the loading screen when the keep flipped though as they all were not moving.

Nah never had that happen before. Yesterday after the 22 minute queue I did get a "failed to login" message, which made me re-queue. That was a fun experience.

Ye, I should probably upgrade this i7, 16GB ram piece of crap and my dusty old 70mb fibre optic cable. I have all settings down low, disabled grass, shadows, etc and optimised Windows to help ESO even more. I don't know what else I could possibly do.
