Ye, I should probably upgrade this i7, 16GB ram piece of crap and my dusty old 70mb fibre optic cable. I have all settings down low, disabled grass, shadows, etc and optimised Windows to help ESO even more. I don't know what else I could possibly do.
do you run game in high priority mode?
I haven't actually tried that. Do you know if it saves the priority setting for next time you open the client, so I don't have to keep doing it?

Unfortunately no, unless I'm missing something. Every program defaults to normal priority upon startup so every time you launch you'll have to open task manager and manually set it to High every session.

redo every launch, takes few sec so not a biggie - ctlr alt del - task mngr, easy peasy
So... are you changing your skill bar while riding your horse? It never occurred to me to try this, but on console I think you stop running when you open the menu. No? It's the only reason I don't use rapids. Could I have been doing this?
