i suspect your laptop is not very effective at handling operations, these kind of loading screens tipically last 1-2 sec...

Ye, I should probably upgrade this i7, 16GB ram piece of crap and my dusty old 70mb fibre optic cable. I have all settings down low, disabled grass, shadows, etc and optimised Windows to help ESO even more. I don't know what else I could possibly do.

do you run game in high priority mode?

I haven't actually tried that. Do you know if it saves the priority setting for next time you open the client, so I don't have to keep doing it?

Unfortunately no, unless I'm missing something. Every program defaults to normal priority upon startup so every time you launch you'll have to open task manager and manually set it to High every session.

Ctrl shift esc loads task manager directly.
    It saves lives.

So... are you changing your skill bar while riding your horse? It never occurred to me to try this, but on console I think you stop running when you open the menu. No? It's the only reason I don't use rapids. Could I have been doing this?

I honestly have no idea how it works on console, but yes you can safely swap out skills while riding (as long as you're not in combat)

My favorite feature is when I land at a wayshrine and my frame rate becomes super choppy....it used to last 10-30 seconds. Today it lasted for 14 minutes

This was on Sotha Sil in the middle of the day where it was barely even populated.

    They did do something....

All currently-existing campaigns will be shut down once Elsweyr launches. We hope you enjoyed your time in Vivec, Shor, Sotha Sil and Kyne!  :*
