This is to true.
Before the crafting bag I had little space available. Once the crafting bag was added to the game I had tons of space that was freed up.
It did not take long to fill that space up. When Zos doubled my bank space and then added those chests the same thing happened.
So yes, the same thing happened. I horded.
But my solution of the armory is a great idea because it would be another great ESO+ perk and would totally eliminate storage issues for subscribers.

Yes It seems ZOS force us to use craft bag, but this is to me is the monthly fee and I don't want to pay monthly fee for convenient inventory management. I use 2 great addon on PC. Without that addons I would have left the game a long time ago. Usually when I feel the compulsion, pressure to pay, I take break and try other game.
ESO+ subscriber here
I agree with the OP. The problem is not even with the crafting materials. Even with the craft bag all the new events result in an endless pile of motifs/feathers/berries etc. they (companions' style pages) can't even be banked which is so silly!

You see, as someone mentioned earlier, people with hoarding mentality won't ever have enough space, since they tend to fill out any space they are given in record time.
Basically, what people here are saying:
We WANT:
-to craft
-to collect stuff
We DON'T WANT:
-to pay
Newsflash - this game is not all about crafting and/or collecting. You can play the game without it, it is just convenience.
And that is exactly what devs should capitalize on: convenience. Nobody wants to see this game become P2W since history tells us P2W games soon become ghost towns.
The very best option for us and ESO is converting extra CPs to bank space or inventory space.
Like every 10 CPs we can get 1 extra inventory slot. That's not that much yet that would add some incentive to play on
That is one of the worst options. Just leave CP alone. It needs to stay as a way to level a character, not turned into an inventory grindfest.
ESO+ and create mule alts. Each alt can hold 200. Plus the inventory chests. A person can also create a guild for another 400 ish slots.

When was the last time the limit was increased? Isn't it due for a increase?
There's so much more mats now - style stones, jewellery mats..

Nah, OP is right. There are much more materials and set items in the game now, the base number of slots should be increased.
I do have ESO+, but I will definitely not activate it on my second account.
Bank: 240 --> 300
Inventory: 200 --> 240
2 more storage boxes (60 and 30 slots)
First, it is more likely Zos will add storage space via ESO+ than to the base game. I think this is pretty obvious and anyone who understand this is a business and revenue is important get this concept.
Second, I have suggested an armory many times. This would be ESO+ will be bottomless like the crafting bag and accept all bound armor. This alone would greatly increase our storage space as those of us at or near max capacity are mostly filled with armor.
So there is the solution.

An armory would be dope. Having your gear with all the busts and other trophies, damn. I'd love mannequins you could have in Battle poses, you could add other achieve furnishings to make it like a scene. That would be insane for housing.
