If whoever killed you actually sees this thread they will do nothing but laugh.

Not joking or trying to give you a hard time, but in PvP when someone give a hate whisper because you killed them it is really taken as a sign of weakness.

On the other hand, one time I was killed at the main gate of a keep by a rush of defenders that showed up as a group. I was so frustrated by going from "we got this" to "wtfpwnd" that I just sat there, dead, and watched the defenders start repairing. Then, I got a whisper from one of the other faction saying, "Cool name."

And suddenly I felt a lot less frustrated, and I remembered why PVP is supposed to be fun.

Got a boss to kill here in a arena (hard one) and I still can't do it, the boss is strong (i've only xp gear) and one idiot was camping me in the area each time I try.
Those guy are just moron who don't know how to play so they just kill easy target to feel good.
Just ignore them and do something else. You've these kind of idiot in every pvp game, so, not a big deal.

Ah haha! Now that's always a juicy predicament to find another player in. I'm more than happy to play devil's advocate here and restate it's PVP and all's fair. If you've put yourself in a precarious circumstance, anyone happening up you cannot be faulted for partaking in the free meal. If getting camped, it would have been a much better tactic to continue solo farming bosses later or switching campaigns. If you kept doing it and allowed someone to camp you, shame on you and kudos to them for playing smart.

I am no way ashamed of having partaken in that particular free meal on many occasions; it's hard to say no to such a great tel var/time ratio! Plus the extra salt some players sprinkle on said meal make it all the tastier. Still, I find it even more fun to merely let them know you're there, like by say running quick circles around them while they fight the boss. It's interesting to see what they're made of... if they'll run or fight immediately, or if they've got stones and will just ignore you and continue their boss fight. The best reaction is when they stop using AOEs and start farming with you! <3

I disagree. The gankers that hangout in the quest towns of Cyrodill are even lower. They are ganking mostly PvEers to begin with and on top of that they wait till their victim is in a dialogue window with the quest giver before making their move.

I once survived such a gank, wearing the ganker down with a full pool of Overload.

I PvP so little that that's my single favorite kill.

LOL. Back in the day....when you exited the Sewers the Gank Fest was the rage. You would be insta ganked on the way out. So now you have a way to go to get in and sometimes get hunted. Eh, it's the way it is....

But alas, no worries soon with Elsweyr. Imp City will be separate.

But if you’re actually going in to farm tel var, either you better be damn good so you don’t have to worry much or you just don’t go alone. IC is best with a group of three or four minimum if you’re actually looking to walk away with tel var.

The worst time I ever had in Cyrodiil was during the IC event. Not being into PvP yet, but wanting to earn the rewards, I headed off to Cyrodiil and just accepted a scouting mission each day. I also discovered that by sneaking I could wander the countryside pretty much invisible and unmolested. (I don't know why I never thought of sneaking before.) The only tricky parts were when I had to go over a bridge and pray that a group of enemy players didn't come riding along and spot me as I'm slinking across the bridge (which did happen once).

So the bad part is that I'm a crafter, which means I always stop to collect every rock, twig, leaf, and patch of fur I see. And I was going by Lake Rumare a lot to get to my scouting mission target and then back home again. And naturally there are lots of nirnroot and water hyacinth on the shores of Lake Rumare. And naturally I couldn't resist trying to collect every single one of them. And those slaughterfish are so vicious that if even a tiny bit of one foot touches the water while you're trying to collect something, they will eat you alive before you have a chance to back away. I would get killed by the slaughterfish, get resurrected back at my alliance base, sneak back to Lake Rumare again, see another nirnroot or water hyacinth, and repeat the process over and over before I finally got the knack of harvesting the plant without getting killed by the slaughterfish-- you have to be close enough to it before you try to interact with it, because if you aren't almost on top of it then trying to interact with it will cause you to step forward and touch the water and get eaten by the slaughterfish.
I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!

There are some real scum players who hang out in and around IC. If you're on a pve toon, some gankers will gank you once, and then leave you alone if you message them. Then you have the sociopaths who find pleasure in griefing whoever they can. They attack from stealth, but run away anytime someone is about to kill them. Real gutter trash mentalities.

That's why I only go to IC anymore wearing imp physique on my decked out WW builds. Take a buddy along with you if possible. If youre going to spend any amount of time in IC, at the very least you need full impen gear, and get your health up as high as possible. Chudans set helps a lot to stop the little scum gankers opening attack. After they open up, just heal/buff and blast them. 9/10 times they run off like the slinking scum cowards they are.

Telvar loss to other players needs to be sharply reduced. That would help get rid of some of these players. They are bottom feeding parasites, and should recieve penalties for failed gank attempts in my opinion. Same with the warden/pocket healer groups that roam there on occasion. ESO encourages a lot of irritating behavior and playstyles in IC.

Thing is, the lowly scrub probably could have farmed his own stones and came out way ahead.

But instead was sitting there for hours, trying to cheap one solo person interacting with a door.

I’ve been to IC in many campaigns. It’s pretty dead, so I can about imagine how long the little scrublord was sitting there.

    Seriously don't get this view.

That passion against Cheaters Id understand, but you are hating on folks playing the zone totally as intended. It's a risk reward zone, that's the entire point, as designed.

The stone loss should be increased back to the level it was, removing it would lose all spice in the game.

I was a PvEer when i first went there. I got rekt alot. I learnt PvP in order to survive, and get them back - and still love the buzz of running a haul of stones back. An sure I've killed folks in events carrying a haul too, when you land 20k stones from a kill that's a buzz. (even if the stones have no mega value)

Ganking is a part of the game, there are plenty of ways to mitigate it, heck a whole class is pretty much dedicated to it, and the zone is all about risk / reward.

The scrubs sit there for hours waiting and trying to leech off someone elses work. Most of the time they wait til a persons health is low while fighting. If they simply farmed they would come out way ahead. They always run as soon as the tables turn as well. A straight up ganker who ganks someone while they aren't fighting, and who doesnt slink off like a slob gutter rat as soon as they face adversity is fine. There aren't many of those though. We all know the majority are sociopath scum who derive pleasure from griefing others. Unskilled maggots.
