First off, zos isnt forcing you to buy the tickets, it's there for people who dont have all the time in the world to finish quests for tickets and it's a catch up mechanism for those who cant to do the time but can pay instead, that's on them. I'm glad they have the option for people
Still pissed about the racial passive overhaul and only getting 3 free race changes though, that's what I call a cash grab
No one is forcing you to change the race of more than 3 of your characters. I've not changed a single one. Because it doesn't affect me, then I think you're over reacting about the race changes. But yeah, I'm sure you'll understand no one is forcing you to do anything.
Eh... I would be willing to bet someone at ZOS running the Crown Store knew and planned there would be some people who would drop a lot of money buying as many tickets as they could to get everything from event stores. It’s a convenience. Just like werewolf or vampire bites. It’s not exactly hard to get these things in game.
Each to their own though, I won't be buying any tickets at that price.

Oh wait... All you have to do is not buy the product. And considering the product is objectively useless, well, it's pretty easy to make the decision to not buy.

Ah yes, the tired and lazy "companies are supposed to make a profit" and "just dont buy it" arguments.
Its almost as if you cant be bothered to pay attention to the context of a situation and can only spout off pre-fab responses.
Enemoriana wrote: »I would agree with you if the tickets weren't tied to timed exclusives. If I understand correctly, you can either buy the last berry to evolve your first Indrik now, or not at all (or possibly next year?). I'm not sure about the pet and the motifs, but I assume they're also temporary. The fact that tickets are capped at 12 means you have zero chance of using a surplus from past events to get some of the items available now. Even though you "continued participating in events" all along. This is clearly a sales strategy to drive ticket sales in the crown store. It is what it is. Just don't sugar-coat it with hollow speeches.
There is more tickets this event, than is needed for berry and pet. And no need to buy motifs for tickets - they are tradeable, so you can buy them for gold in guildstores.
So if you have all previous berries, you can get both berry and pet, and some tickets will remain. Even if you have 2 berries and 4-6 tickets from previous events, you can, if you will do quests each day.
But people will need 40 more tickets to buy enough feathers to get another Nascent Indrik to evolve in the next set of events. And then do that 2 more times beyond that for the third and fourth evolution. It's a total of 360 tickets to have all four evolved Indriks, plus another Nascent to own all 5 possible.
Once you get your Dawnwood Indrik, you are starting all over again from scratch to get the second evolution, meaning four feathers and four berries, for a total cost of 80 tickets..... by the end of Q2. And add in any other motifs, pets, or what have you to be purchaseable from the Impresario, and you can see that folks will need pretty much every available ticket, plus some crown store tickets to get everything possible.

1.) I think you might be getting ahead of yourself here, no one said anything about losing anything or advantages. Slow your horses, mate. We havent even gotten to that point in your silly imagined argument.
2.) When ZOS creates a system that drives players participation and then adds limitations to the participation just to drive people into the store so they can finish collecting everything. Yeah its something that should be criticized. I havent seen anyone demand ZOS give everything for free or drop the ticket prices to silly levels. Simply calling out the obvious push for the Crown Store to make a profit off of participation in a in-game event.

No one is arguing about the impact of gameplay here, youre not even participating in the discussion and that was my original point towards you that even now you are struggling to wrap your head around.
I cant eject anyone from a discussion. Im just expressing my opinion that you dont belong here because you cant do more than parrot generic responses.

Oh wait... All you have to do is not buy the product. And considering the product is objectively useless, well, it's pretty easy to make the decision to not buy.
You're welcome. XOXOXO
Ah yes, the tired and lazy "companies are supposed to make a profit" and "just dont buy it" arguments.
Its almost as if you cant be bothered to pay attention to the context of a situation and can only spout off pre-fab responses.
It's true though.
And you lose nothing from not buying the tickets.
That sweet sweet Indrik is technically the same as the horse you get for free at level 10, except for appearance.
The weapons, again, just a skin. They give no DPS buff.
The pet? Pixels.
Sorry mate, but my argument is very much the right one until circumstances change.
You can buy the PR speech if you want to, but do us all a favor and put some meaningful thought into your responses or just dont participate if you all you can do is shill.
So what, I should shut up because my opinion doesn't fit yours?
Yeah... No.
Sorry dude, but you're not gonna' change my mind here.
You do not get to tell me where, when and what I post.
Youre not losing anything or an advantage from not participating in the conversation. You dont have to participate if you dont like the conversation.
Except I'm quite enjoying it.
But you are definitely struggling to keep up.
I have been criticizing you for being on autopilot this entire time, and so far every response has been by the numbers.
I don't see the issue here.
I made a statement, that is objectively true. Tickets have no impact on gameplay.
As a result of this fact, I have stated that I see no problem with ZOS' marketing.
Now you seem to be trying to eject me from this thread as on the face of it, you simply disagree with my opinion.
Now I have no problem with criticism, but I do I take issue with people telling me to shut up because it differs to their views.
You made a generic response that gets repeated every time a criticism is made about the Crown Store.
You are not a moderator. It is not your job to tell me if I "belong" here.
If you think my posts are inappropriate, then report me.
I suspect you'd be better off simply ignoring me though, and that's fine. I'm not entitled to your attention.
But I'm going to give my opinion, no matter how "generic" it is.
"I've heard this too many times" is not a valid dismissal in a debate, especially when the argument that has been "heard too many times" is constructed from fact.
Again though, I would suggest you just ignore me, but I'm not going anywhere.

They are merely there to give players that missed events a chance to catch up, hence why the Indrik is a 50$ mount if you would only buy it with the crown store tickets. Since this is also the first and last chance to get this evolved Indrik, it makes sense to have this option, even though it's not for everyone.

Some clarification on the Event Ticket pricing - we want in-game event participation to be the primary source for earning Event Tickets and their corresponding rewards, but we recognize that sometimes life happens and players miss events. The option to purchase Event Tickets from the Crown Store is intended as a catch-up mechanic for those who missed out on opportunities to earn them through event participation. We don’t want to devalue the time and effort invested to get Event Tickets (and their Nascent Indrik), and have priced them in the Crown Store with that in mind.

It most definitely is a valid dismissal if the generic response does not have anything to do with the discussion and is just meant to rile people up.
It be like me going into a Crown Crate discussion and spewing P.A.W.s responses. Eventually people get tired of the same old lazy attempts to shut down discussion by those that dont like the discussion.
I think you should take your own advice here and just ignore me if you dont like my opinion.
