I would be willing to bet someone at ZOS running the Crown Store knew and planned there would be some people who would drop a lot of money buying as many tickets as they could to get everything from event stores.It’s a convenience. Exactly! I didn't even participate in all the events and I still had enough to buy a second set of feathers and 3 of the dawn berries. ✭✭✭✭✭ZOS confirmed in another thread that these tickets are not meant to replace the work and effort put into getting these mounts/pets/etc from events. They are merely there to give players that missed events a chance to catch up, hence why the Indrik is a 50$ mount if you would only buy it with the crown store tickets. Since this is also the first and last chance to get this evolved Indrik, it makes sense to have this option, even though it's not for everyone.

✭✭One of my sons is sick with the flu, so last night and more than likely tonight I will not be on. As many parents know when one kid gets sick the rest will follow, so more than likely I will be off intermittently over the next few weeks tending to my boys health rather than running ESO of course.
Ill be a little behind I'm guessing, so its nice to know I can get a few if I end up being a few short. I hate buying items from the CS but luckily ill get this months ESO+ stipend Tuesday. Its convenient where applicable, thanks ZOS!3 -

That thing should be available some time in april, whenever the anniversary event is. I don't know for how long this will work, but ZOS isn't exactly stingy with these tickets. You're assuming everyone has shared your exact gaming habits for the last few months. A number of people leave for a few months or even a year or over, then come back to the game. Can only speak for myself, but i only returned after 6 months away during the DB and TG festival. I have nowhere near the amount of tickets you have or others within this thread that stated they have. Imo, it more unrealistic to expect people to play the same game for 4 years solid just in case they happen to miss something.
I couldn't care less tbh, everything you can buy with event tickets doesn't interest me. I have enough mounts and most mounts I think I need, get used once and put away never to see the light of day again. The anniversary will be 5 weeks. And I suspect the cake is giving the daily tickets, because the Anniversary doesn't have one single obvious daily quest to attach the things to, like all the other events have had.I don't know why they are selling them at all, but I wouldn't call it a money grab if there is little reason to buy them in the first place.
As mentioned, they're selling them as a Last Ditch Catch-up mechanism for people who are after the Dawnwood berries but missed too many of the previous events. It's only the 'I've got to have everything! immediately!" collector types who see it as an evil moneygrab.6 -

A real cash grab is when they create artificial pressure to purchase, such as making certain items Crown Store only (or unreasonably rare in-game). The absolute failure of "racial balance" in Wrathstone while selling Race Change tokens was a slimy cash grab. Separate Pyandonian pages in Crown Crates was a cash grab, at least until they added them to the fishing holes. The hyper-fragmented Welkynar motif is a cash grab. 80 tickets = 20,000 crowns.
Someone who missed a dozen = 3,000 crowns
Someone who missed 40 tickets = 10,000 crowns.
At least it is cosmetic only and not combat oriented.

First off, zos isnt forcing you to buy the tickets, it's there for people who dont have all the time in the world to finish quests for tickets and it's a catch up mechanism for those who cant to do the time but can pay instead, that's on them. I'm glad they have the option for people
Still pissed about the racial passive overhaul and only getting 3 free race changes though, that's what I call a cash grab

I dont belive that at the end of the event there will be anyone without all style pages , they drop like crazy and even if someone wouldnt have all pages You can always buy them for in game gold not for crowns and at the end of the event price will be low as always. No one is forcing you to change the race of more than 3 of your characters. I've not changed a single one. Because it doesn't affect me, then I think you're over reacting about the race changes. But yeah, I'm sure you'll understand no one is forcing you to do anything.1 -

Provided people buying or being gifted tickets via the crown store get a message that they're at the cap and can't buy / receive any more - without first spending their existing tickets - there is no problem here.
The "artificially redundant" cap has an obvious purpose.
They want players to continue participating in events rather than just hoarding tickets, which is what many players would do. If I didn't actually like that look of these mounts it's something I'd consider. I'm thrifty by nature. Something has to really appeal to me to make me spend, or there have to be serious negatives to not spending.2 -

Participating in the events means that’s really not very daunting
I have a full set of feathers of my second Indrik, and one more for the third already. During this event I’ll get the last berry and the pet and maybe one of the pages if I don’t just buy them. As with the rest of festival motifs (hollowjack, skinchanger, worm cult) they’ll be cheap by the time the event is over0
