Not sure if it was mentioned, but in the Ebonheart Temple basement (unless I'm misremembering the building), there's a dark elf man repeatedly beating his fists in anger against an armoire.

Isn't necessarily a discovery, but while I was playing earlier I happened across what I thought was a person trying to unlock a chest. They were a fair bit away and a fishing spot was near me, so I decided to fish and just wait to see if they unlocked it, or gave up and moved.

A while passed, I noticed the "person" wasn't getting up from the lockpicking type position.. run over and it was a red rook bandit. Lesson learned, always approach close enough to see whether it's a person, NPC, or enemy!

Maybe this is why they chose to remove nameplates?

@Sanders: you might have better luck posting that question in a thread where they're talking about the Cultural Exchange quest, or at least quest help in general. Or make your own, if you can't find one. It's likely to be overlooked in a thread like this.

I saw him in 2 places in beta, he's in a whole bunch of places according to the achievement.

I have found him in a few places. To my knowledge he is the oldest living being in the Elder Scrolls Universe. In Skyrim he mentions he was named after his father or some such nonsense but I don't believe him.

I've seen lots of little things, but the last one I remember was finding a couple dunmer women trying to light a fire and you wouldn't know unless you talked to them. This allows you to start the fire for them and you get exp. It's not marked as a quest giver or anything, just happened on it by chance as I often talk to random npcs.

It's also interesting to find M'aiq in every zone as well and see what he has to say about it.

Those are both actually for achievements under exploration :D The fire one is "Keeper of the Flame" if I remember right (plus it gives you a buff!), and then of course one for finding M'aiq pretty much everywhere.

Ah. Well, I haven't looked through all the achievements so it was a surprise for me, heh. Well, starting the fire. I figured M'aiq was probably an achievement of some sort.

I don't usually look at achievements till I'm further along in game and it gives me something to do at end game trying to finish whatever I might have missed.

I wish there was a way to mod creatures. Or even a checkbox that would mod them for me if the devs don't want to give that kind of power to players. I know people who are scared of spiders. It would be nice if they could simply look like something else for those people. Giant bunnies or something like that. :) Same hit box, same HP and abilities. They don't even need to be animated so long as they are gone...

I'm terrified of mukade and it's usually not an issue until I tried playing this game.
Now there's moving pictures of them and I have to kill them and carry them around in my inventory!? There's no amount of curse strings that would accurately reflect how much "NOPE!" I feel for this. There's some parts of Tamriel I avoid because I know these creatures are there. Wish I didn't feel this way.

I liked in the Auridon manor house, there's this elf reading and when you talk to him he essentially tells you to go away, and that he's dealing with sensitive information.

If you walk past him, there's an 'eyes of the queen' agent crouched behind the screen right behind him spying on him.

Reminds me of the Orc that makes musical instruments just outside the Daggerfall dock-side gates. He'll wax poetic about how his musical instruments are a work of art, and how each and every one is special. If you ask if he's selling them, he gets offended and says something along the lines of "Are you crazy? Each of these is like a child to me! Of course I'm not selling them!"

Made even better when he admits he can't play them. He makes them to just... have them.

The stories above reminded me to a quest in Stonewall where an Argonian comedian asks you to enter a forbidden tomb and talk to the spirit of 3 Bard brothers who are in possession of a joke that could make even dark elves laugh. He also said that legend has it, if the joke is not performed correctly, the performer will be killed on spot but we.shouldn't worry about that. So, I went to the tomb, collected 2 lines from each spirit and of course, all were gibberish. When we go back to the Argonian, we can decide to tell him the joke or lie about it and say we didn't find anything. I wanted him to be successful so I told him. I shouldn't have, since, after reciting the joke, he was turned in a pile of ash. I felt bad for him! :D
