It would still affect magicka players as basic weapon attacks are not affected by silence. Also, vigor is affected by silence, at least in MoL, iirc. If it is affected by Sorcs negate (which I have not tested) then it should not be affected by this stam silence idea.

Vigor isn't silenced, and neither are mushrooms (in PvP), the last time I tested it. That's a main reason StamWarden groups can't be countered well.
It would double dip in the case of Ultis, but that problem could be easily solved by one Negate morph for magicka/ magic damage spells and one for stamina/ weapon damage skills, including Ultis.
I don't think a stamina negate would do much. I mean you would just roll dodge out right? And fyi, it shouldn't negate roll dodges because you literally wouldn't be able to get out of it if your rooted/snared.

Imagine the Stamina Negate would make rolling/dodging impossible. That would be a great counter skill to all the roll dodge builds and the tank/block meta in PvP.

Yeah so someone places it and you just drop dead without a single counter? Yeah thrilling gameplay.
With current negate you can at least get out of it with a roll dodge. Also you say stamina meta, but to be fairly honest with you mag sorcs open world are on par or better than most stamina builds in a solo PvP enviroment. And in a small group environment magicka builds across the board (minus magblade) are amazing.

There are several counters, e.g. just walking out of it, using Magicka skills etc. Guess what, Negate Magic is like a death sentence in the snare/Stamina meta for Magicka builds. It's not like Magicka builds have 30k Stamina to always have the possibility to roll dodge.
Don't see any reason why there shouldn't be something similar to counter Stamina builds (btw not playing Sorc at the moment).

Except stamina spent years being completely useless and irrelevant. Until this dual wield meta appeared they were simply rapid monkeys in PvP raids, and when DW and stamden gets its nerfs they won't even be able to go back to being rapid monkeys because well rapid is nerfed.
