A guild leader could declare Dominion on another guild and for a limited time both sides were at war - even in safe zones. You are minding your own business in a no-one-can-attack-you-in-your-home-territory zone, and suddenly 3 or 4 peeps come charging up and gank you, and steal your stuff if you had made tradepacks.
Only recourse was to log off until the Dominion expired.
No thanks

IF they ever change their minds, and IF they ever would even think about open world PvP... then I would sincerely hope they would do it as the promised but shelved for just the above reason PvP part of the justice system!
And not some guild stuff, those "guild functions" are more a mission statement anyhow, so people know which guild to go for to find like-minded individuals and prevent people arguing if they want to run dungeons, farm rare crafting materials or murderdeathgank peeps in imperial city...
So... the OP ideas cannot really get more then a shrug from me I fear...
Yo if eso was all open world PvP in ALL zones oh my god that would be so insane. Get a ball group and farm kids in the populated cities lmao
I can take or leave this to be honest. I won’t take part in it, but I couldn’t care less if I see two zergs of guilds running past me in a cartoon dust cloud of fighting. As long as participation isn’t forced on people who don’t want it.
The biggest concern I have is how this will affect the frame rate and general performance of these areas. We don’t want those areas turning into another Cyrodiil as far as performance goes, not really fair on the PvEers in the region.

Can you imagine trying to do writs while two whole guilds are zerging each other straight through a forge? I have enough trouble if someone's twilight summon is sitting right in front of the crafting bench.

Hehe but it's exactly what I want xD. You can enjoy the show xD

Open world PvP is all about ganking, nothing more, nothing less. The biggest problem with open world PvP is encounters. Cyrodiil has choke points. Players run into each other at those choke points and the fight begins. Open world, no choke points. PvP would get boring very fast. Would be a few gankers hanging around crafting stations.
Being able to opt in to open world PvP sounds fun but would ultimately be a waste of resources setting it up.

It's like you guys will come up with any excuse to reject any sort of PvP idea that could expand the current PvP system for us. If it is affecting your FPS, upgrade your system's components, plain and simple. It isn't our problem you guys find this aspect of a game annoying.

Fortunately, the game doesn't solely revolve around care-bear players.
The only way Open PVP could have been interesting is if they'd completed the enforcer/bounty system of the justice system, where if you got like a 10k bounty on your head it'd open you to being attacked by other players looking to claim that bounty. (10k is so high that no you won't get it on accident, you'd have to be doing it on purpose).. it's also high enough that not many people will regularly have it so open world PVP would be sporadic and not something constantly happening in the middle of crafting stations in busy towns 24/7. Dueling being allowed in towns is enough of a public nuissance though.
