Frostvault Dungeon Breaks Lore (Factotum Body Part) (Live)

I understand that in the case of the PTS, Its fine as combat and things of that nature should take priority in dungeon feedback threads. While it is too late to stop Clockwork assets from being reused in Dwemer ruins, there is no reason why a factotum body part should be in this dwemer ruin unless it is specifically hinted that Sotha Sil went here.

https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Factotum
As you can see according to lore, factotums are of Sotha Sil's design.

This was near the Warlord Tzogvin boss. There is literal later model factotum body parts in the frostvault dungeon. It is completely unlore friendly to be in this dwemer dungeon. Please remove this clockwork pile from the dungeon.

it would be one of these things.

It's a world full of time travel and planar vortexes. I for one am quite interested and intrigued by the backstory that saw a factotum transported to this place at some point. Perhaps some future battle? Is Sotha Sil hiding more secrets? What is it that we don't know? It's a wonderful mystery that doesn't necessarily need to be explained fully if you look at it abstractly.

I don't hate argonians, I own a few of them. On a serious note, I am unbiased when it comes to argonian lore. Ive helped edit some information about argonians on UESP, for example, some of the notes on Jel, Argonian's language, and the possible origin on the argonian lore page. Sometimes it's an intended teaser or Easter egg, and sometimes it's a hackwork. This is a hackwork.

But literally the boards you make are about three things usually: Objectifying Bosmer, Dwemer related things, and your constant denigration of Argonians, not just jokes about handbags but jokes about slavery and racist comments about them. I don't see how you could approach their lore without the bias you display nearly every post you make. I laugh at most of your stuff, but you really have a hang up roleplaying racism on the forums. I even agree with you sometimes. I just realistically think you express your bias in an unabrashful way.

Are you sure those are factotum body parts and not apostle body parts?

I could picture some apostles leaving the Clockwork City for some errand and through confusion, error or downright kidnapping ended up in Frostvault where they were killed and the metal parts of their bodies were strewn throughout the place.

Sure, it is most likely a reuse of assets. But the above is a totally plausible explanation.

In spite of this, it went live? Not that I'm surprised or something. @ZOS_GinaBruno, can we do something about communication and feedback, please? It must be mutual, you know. If there are reasons why players can find factotum parts in dwemer dungeon, a good enough explanation should be revealed, but if there are none, these parts should be removed. And regarding using Clockwork City assets in dwemer dungeons... Really? Is it so hard to draw a new textures? Hire an outsource student for the Tribunal sake!

Did actually make me ponder if the Assembly General design was intended to have a Dwemer origin, and Sotha Sil just stole it . . . more likely, as @code65536 pointed out, just lore-breaking recycled assets :(

So glad I'm not the only one whose lore sense was tingling when I saw this dungeon. Pretty sure the 'dwarven colossus' was also a Sotha Sil creation yet here it is, in an ancient dwemer vault.

Edit: same for skeevatons. They are a Sotha/CWC thing. Why are they here?

Emphasis on ‘possible origin’ I hope, that’s one of the mysteries I hope doesn’t get solved in a ‘in your face manner’ but rather it be subtle. @Sheezabeast does have a point kinda, the jokes you usually display say otherwise. Not saying you can’t make them go right ahead. 👍

    Reused assets lol

I dont think the intention was to break lore, I think they just were trying to find a quick asset for Dwemer junk.

Also this has nothing to do with Schick leaving.

Schick doesn't map dungeons, he's a writer so don't mention his departure. The mapping team just forgot to hide the Clockwork parts or making a new elaborate NIF (mesh) with Dwemeri parts instead of Clockwork City props.

It seems more like a Developer Oversight. These things happen.

Welcome, Moon-and-Star, to this place where destiny is made.

I play healers or DPS often for vet dungeons and trials (NA, CP810+). I play mostly elves or Argonians.
I primarily play Damage-Based stuff in PvP, but occasionally I'll play something tanky or got the heals.
I also love gaining more knowledge both metaphysical and mundane regarding TES lore.

I also occasionally role-play, but I prefer playing the game.

It might be some CWC armor or an factotum pet used by some earlier adventurer.
Stuff like this shows up all the time. you get viking sword on battlefields in 1450. Your ancestor looted it of an Viking and you was recruited so you bring it.
You got WW2 German machine pistols in Somalia, stuff moves around.
Still remember the swastika on the tripod for the LMG.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

But that's the thing. He could just 'do more' but the CWC peeps explicitly state that Dwemer designs were a base for CW stuff but are abhorrent and not to be uaed anymore. Why would Sotha be using something his own dictates are against? It just makes little sense.

    I prefer the Imperial Library.

After having a few editing wars on UESP wiki, I avoid that site like the the Black Plague.

    Giant are Betmer? What?
    Lamia are female? Uh...No.

That site has a lot of wrong information.

If you experience it with at least one sense, it's not breaking lore.

Lore does not have to be explained or spoon fed.

There's nothing even saying that this is part of Frostvault lore. We have two Factotum polymorphs and the Apostle motif in the game. There's a plurality in the description, "Locked away deep within the glaciers of Eastmarch, the frozen entrance to the Dwarven Vault of Mhuvnak has thawed, finally allowing explorers, adventurers, and treasure hunters to enter."

Use a little bit of imagination.

Lets see it from other side.

Sotha Sil stole factotum tech from dwemer Mhuvnak like he stole Tools of Kagrenac before his ascension to godhood.
Clearly that's dwemer developed factotums as advanced version of animunculi, first example of such tech will be surrogate mother of Vivec
    https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:36_Lessons_of_Vivec,_Sermon_3
    https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:36_Lessons_of_Vivec,_Sermon_4
See it? Mechanical female body with artificial womb thats can produce living children, where was this ah yes Active Fabrication Tank.

BTW there is in Frostvault we can see ruined Dwarven Delver what was initially shown in Clockwork City
    Elder-Scrolls-Online-Frostvault-Dungeon-DLC-2-924x520.jpg

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEvfX1gPa_4

Also Sotha Sil adapted other dwemer tech for own use, for example his experiments with souls gem and mechanical bodies of Saints have connection to dwemer Klathzgar
    https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Urenenya's_Lament_(quest)
There is also one of Sotha Sil Harmonic Auditor in Rkindaleft
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOmovKPay4Y
who clearly try to use dwemer tech to transfer his soul to animunculi shell, such auditors can be clergy of Sotha Sil before he replace them with Apostles.
We can meet such engineers in Sotha Sil Maelstrom arenas.

This Harmonic Auditor particularly interesting he is connected to dwarven throne similar to throne room in Nchuleftingth, I believe dwemer use such thrones to remote control all dwemer city machines, Sotha Sil later adapted and improved design for his Throne Aligned where he was connected to all of his Clockwork City.
    https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Eo38N
This Harmonic Auditor also uses transmutation dwemer tech for "improvement" of orcs, we saw example of such tech before in Darkshade Cavern, done by Engine Guardian remotely with dwemer spiders.

Do not forget thats Sotha Sil worked together with dwemers in Resdayn before War of the First Council, most likely he not accepted dwemer tech as blasphemous while dwemers become foul in religious Temple dogma.

So game provide many examples of dwemer tech what was later adapted by Sotha Sil, but still there is no direct answers, sure its suit for Father of Mystery.
