R.I.P Khajiit Stam builds

From a PvE perspective, there are only buffs. The stam recovery is stronger for pretty much all PvE stam builds, the critical chance is the same and they even got 750 extra stamina. The HP is a nice survivability boost for those mechanics stacks and possible one shots.

Redguards themselves are going to be have slightly lower damage compared to the current patch, but they'll get even better sustain, so... It feels like it's going to be a good old "if you can't sustain without investing anything in sustain, pick redguard, pick Khajiit otherwise", althought the difference is slightly more in favor of Khajiit compared to right now.

Yes! They get so obsessed with racing to the top, that they miss out on all the variations on builds this game offers. I'd rather suck and git gud on my own customized build then take credit for someone else's gudness.

Meh, my Khajiit stamwarden feels like she's tearing stuff up even faster than before. She was fun before but feels like a real beast now. Probably helps that she was already using 2h sword and Selene's as all of those got nice buffs this last patch.

Khajiit is as good as everyone but orc. So either stick it out or get used to a character so ugly your can smell them.

Are you sure it's not the dw nerf you're feeling? That's what hit me.

Nope, I went from 80% crit to 72%, anyway might go for MagNB or just eventully deleting the charcter.

Well a good thing is you can find plenty of posts that say bosmer is dead, altmer is dead, Argonian is dead, Imperial is dead. Everything is dead and broke!!!! I'm pretty sure it's the working of Nietzche in disguise.

    Khajiit
    • Increases Experience gain in Medium Armor Skill Line by 15%, 5% bonus change to successfully pickpocket → No changes
    • Nimble: 20% Health Recovery and 10% Stamina Recovery → Robustness: Increases your Health Recovery by 100 and your Stamina and Magicka recovery by 75.
    • Stealthy: Reduce detection radius by 3m and Increase damage from Stealth by 10% → Lunar Blessings: Increases your Max Health, Magicka, and Stamina by 750.
    • Carnage: Increase Weapon Critical Chance by 8% → Feline Ambush: Increases your Weapon and Spell Critical Chance by 8%. Reduces your detection radius in Stealth by 5m.

Seriously, what? Khajiits are suddenly supposed to be a hybrid race? This is a pretty massive nerf to Khajiit sustain in both PvE and PvP. Redguard, Bosmer, even orc sustain basically got a buff. If this goes lives, Khajiit would go pretty much behind every other "stamina" race. The Robustness trait is just the Invigorating trait glorified and we know how useful it is. It needs a pretty significant buff to compete with the other sustain passives.

Orcs, Dunmer, Redguard, Bosmer, Imperials maybe even Nords make better stam DPS races now. Also, if being a hybrid race is supposed to be the Khajiit's forte, dunmer will now do it much better.

Don’t let the hybrid stats trick you into thinking they are for hybrid builds. They can build stam or mag but if you want to build for both (for some reason - I’m not suggesting that hybrids are a good idea) then dunmers are the only choice.

Any attempt to build hybrid will have too low crit chance to make use of the crit damage passive. It would have been a different story if they had crit chance as the passive. Hybrid stats yes. Hybrid builds no.

Yes, of course your crit went from 80% to 72%. Your crit damage went up by 10% instead.

If you are hitting significantly lower numbers on a Khajiit stam character, it's probably because of the DW enchant nerfs.

Switch from The Lover to The Shadow and run one of: 2 x Sharp + Velidreth, 1 x Nirnhoned & 1 x Sharp + Velidreth, 1 x Nirnhoned & 1 x Sharp + Kra'gh. Put extra points in Piercing to make up for what you used to have with The Lover.

    @LiquidPony Completely agree

The fact that they are increases to stats in nice. In pvp and pve, you generally want slightly higher health (though some min maxer might feel confident at 17k health). In pvp, having mag isn't bad either, especially seeing that cloak and shade require mag.

From the pvp side, a lot of the higher end nbs will use tri stats or even a mag reduced cost to be able to return to cloak.

I adjusted my stamblade along the lines suggested by LiquidPony and it seemed to make up for the racial changes and get my damage stats close to what they were before.

May need to shift more CP around, might still have too many in precise. Still have to transmute my weapons as well. I am not versed well enough in build mechanics to know what will be the best with these new racials.

Ran Vmol last night. It was nice to be able to run all 7 medium with stam enchants insteand of 5 med, 2 heavy with one small health enchant to get back up to 17-18 k on my build.

I just spotted that my khajiit stam sorc now has only 28% crit chance on his 2H pvp setup. That will be 19% in no cp BGs.

I guess he wont be getting much use out of the crit damage passive. Wasn't the change supposed to be a pvp buff?

And that is why the last-minute change to khajiit racial passive is a complete, unadulterated lunacy. Crit damage changes in relatively narrow range and it hardly depends on build (everyone runs Minor Force, all groups run Warhorn, etc.), while crit chance is a build choice. Giving khajiits crit damage locks great many builds - and people running them - out of their racial passive; crit chance would've scaled on any build specifically because of crit damage multiplier being fixed in relatively smaller range of values.
