Reading this thread makes me want a Guinness... or six. :p

And why not? I see something that I don't understand, I question it.

Well, there is nothing wrong with that on itself, but it could be seen as an attempt to mock them or downplay what they did. People are being proud, because that's truly something that required dedication and a loooot of time. Maybe pointless to you, but not to everyone :)

Idk it's just confusing how somebody can consider this fun and go ahead and flex their stats like they've won the Stanley Cup.

I mean, why do people celebrate winning the Stanley Cup? It doesn't actually matter for human progress or whatever, so why behave like they achieved something?

People did a thing. They're proud of doing the thing because it's a thing not many can do. They're telling others that they did the thing.
Which is normal human interaction, not rocket science.

Doesn't count as you get a head start learning on PTS then game drops live before console ...

I'd like to see you go in blind and have trials release same day as on console ... I'm not saying you wouldn't do it still ... But it would make it far more interesting an achievement than as it stands now

    But congrats on your "achievement".
What has this thread got to do with PTS, these trials have been out for a long time. This is probably one of the best comments I have read in a long time, you're salty about something not even relevant to the topic

Not really. I kinda suck at ESO, however, it's all about muscle memory. Not many things in the game are random in the true sense of random. Each boss more or less uses an individual set of mechanics. It doesn't deviate from them as it would if it was human controlled. The reason I still kinda suck at ESO is because I don't really do this content regularly enough to become an uber trial player.

I initially sucked big time at dark souls, now the game is a breeze. None of the bosses give me trouble. A good few I can now do without taking a single hit. Do silly things like "Praise the Sun" during the Lord of Cinder fight and so on. That doesn't make me better than you or super skill full, it just means I have played the games a helluva lot more than you and remember each bosses attack patterns.

Imo, the most skilful players are those who are the best pvp players. Opponents in pvp have no set mechanics. Each attack has the potential to be random. I'm not pissing on pve as I'm a pve player and I rarely venture into pvp land.

I still don't think it's really something worthy of bragging.

If anything comes to my mind it's... Quite shameful actually. I mean, aren't there more meaningful things?

I don't mean to be rude. Maybe I haven't been playing games as much to understand.

We're on a gaming forum, so it can hardly be a more adequate place to brag about it. I totally understand why it may not be impressive, but... I'm not interested in football (soccer for the NA people), my country's team won the last world cup, I totally don't care, but I wouldn't say to my colleagues that I was unimpressed.

Everyone was happy and cheering, what I don't understand is why anyone would feel the need to express their lack of interest.

My god, if Scotland ever won the world cup I'd be making posts about it every day. I wouldn't be able to contain myself.

It’s amazing that there’s been several other big achievements posts for master angler and achievement points which were all very well received and congratulatory and quite rightly so. Anytime this thread comes around the time for sharing achievements and success gets more salt thrown at it than my grannies porridge

Well done to Hodor for the great achievement again!

@ZonasArch nah just so many pve end-game quit, butt hurt bout that

When you play on a toxic environment like we know this level of end game is, and that's pretty much all you do (also why people get toxic), evidently you won't have fun for too long, will get burned out and leave.

I, for one, don't give two poops about that. If it was up to me, I'd have all then leave game, we'd lose 0.nothing percent of the game community but about a good half of the whole toxic community in the game. Excellent freaking deal, if you ask me. Even if that means we'll have less impressive runs to watch on YouTube from time to time.

People like you are what is wrong with this game, not the end game folks. Know how many times I've tuned into a stream from one of these end game fellas and seen people asking questions about the game because they just bought it due to watching said streamer play it? It happens, a lot. A lot more than you think or will believe me. Some of those end game guys have done more for this game than you could ever hope to just in that aspect.

These are the guys that go on PTS and test the ever loving crap out of every aspect and report.....and report and report and report and report over and over and over. How much PTS testing/feedback/reporting have you done? Guarantee you that any single one of those guys have at least 10 times the amount of that done over you.

You have at least Alcast and Liko in just Hodor alone (sorry if others do this, I just don't know em) who have guides upon guides dedicated to helping everyone from new players to score pushers....read that again for me. They take time to make guides for people NEW to the game.

You want to talk about toxic? When was the last time you seen an end gamer on the forums calling casual people names or belittling them (other than when something literally boils down to 'git gud')? According to folks like yourself they are all over the place spreading their toxicity and yet, all day every day all I see are posts from people like you, just like this.
They nerfed magsorcs so hard stamsorcs felt it,lol - Somber97866

Idk it's just confusing how somebody can consider this fun and go ahead and flex their stats like they've won the Stanley Cup.

Somehow I just can't find this interesting or consider it some sort of achievement.

    Sorry.

Having world records is definitely something you can flex on, in my opinion :o They worked very hard for that obviously.

I still don't think it's really something worthy of bragging.

If anything comes to my mind it's... Quite shameful actually. I mean, aren't there more meaningful things?

I don't mean to be rude. Maybe I haven't been playing games as much to understand.

So, unless someone cures cancer, so aren't worthy of any praise?

    Got it.

Well no, you can do meaningful things in life that develop your skills, personality, character and even do things that people may love you for.

This isn't really something that should be glorified, but that's just my opinion I guess.

Whatever floats your boat. Keep doing things that make life fun for you. I just think it's a waste of potential talents.

If anything is more impressive than this achievement, it is the thousands of fellow players who have benefited from the testing, advice, and insight Hodor has shared from their experience. In my view, that is an achievement than none may surpass. :)
