So when I log into the game the load screen before selecting my character takes forever. Sometimes it sits on that screen for over an hour, other times it only takes like 5-10 minutes to get to the character select screen. Once I select my character however the same problem occurs with the next load screen. Sometimes it takes a few minutes sometimes it simply won't load. I have only been able to play through the prison and into the Daggerfall starting city (albeit painfully).
The next problem I am experiencing is that npcs, enemies, and objects in the world aren't loading. For example if I go into the bank it's just an empty room. If stand there for 10 minutes everything loads up and I can interact/see everything just fine. If I go outside there are places where things like stairs, bridges, etc aren't there and the place is devoid of npcs. The only characters I can see are white Imperial stallions (who have no movement animation) scooting around the city.
Thirdly, the sound fx in game are buggy. If I swing my sword then sheath it the sound for the action plays a few seconds later. The opening cinematic and sounds/music work fine. I have no idea what's causing it.
Lastly, I've seen a few fixes that asked players to modify certain files. I discovered that I am missing some of these files. I don't remember what files were missing or what they did for the game. The thing that annoys me is that if I'm missing these files...what else am I missing?
My system runs the game on high settings with no errors besides what I'm getting and considering the other posts I've seen with these errors (30+ pages?) I am pretty confident it's the game and not on my end (at least not totally).
Also, I have updated my drivers, tried using the repair tool, wiped ESO from my hard drive and re-installed from the retail discs (then patched of course), then ran the repair tool again. I also set my NVIDIA power management settings to favor performance (as suggested in a different post).
Any insights or help would be greatly appreciated and hopefully this post helps in some way towards the DEVS fixing these problems. Thanks!
