Khajiit in the Lion Guard ?

I just finished the Covenant story line for the 10th time and I just noticed this particular:

Screenshot_20190208_144402.png?width=770&height=434

Ok, got me giggling for a moment...

Then it happened again.

And again.

And again.

In the Hall of Heroes, there are no less than 5 Khajiit Lion Guards, and here's the kicker... There are more Khajiit than Redguards...

Was that intended ?

*edit*
There are more outside...

Is that the special fur division ?

As its called Lion guard its fitting :)

its lots of Khajiit in Alik'r on the other hand so it possible they also found it fitting.

After one tamriel it looks like they has added more out of faction races but the Khajiit was there from start.
Grinding just make you go in circles.

The Lion Guard are the elite guards of High Rock and the Daggerfall Covenant. They are deployed all across High Rock and serve as High King Emeric's personal guard. They espouse a meritocratic hierarchy, where ability alone determines progression.

They espouse a meritocratic hierarchy, where ability alone determines progression.

This part could explain the strange racial distribution, also there is nothing about the Lion Guard that would suggest there should be more Redguards than Khajiits or any other race.

I rather feel sorry for the Lion Guard. They really deserve better than "I waffle on every decision and let a wandering stranger pick a ruler" Emeric. I was rather annoyed you can't just leave him in the Hall of Heroes, but even the spirits don't want him there....... Instead of a lion, there should be a heraldic waffle on Emeric's armor.

This part could explain the strange racial distribution, also there is nothing about the Lion Guard that would suggest there should be more Redguards than Khajiits or any other race.

Statistically the chance that members of an elite corp come from a race that values military tradition, combat prowess, and possess great endurance, not to mention being members of the alliance and not originally from the territories of an enemy alliance, would be higher.

In addition, Khajiit may be good fighters, but don't have a military tradition comparable to the Ra'Gada and then the Redguards, in fact, quite the opposite, Khajiit are often opportunistic in nature.

So while it's true that there's nothing in the Lion Guard itself that would suggest a higher number of Redguards, basic common sense would tell you that there's a higher probability for Redguards to be represented, especially in southern Bankgorai (a redguard province).

    IMO

There's always been members of all the races appearing in all zones, even in their military. I think the khajiit and argonians are more noticeable, I don't know about anyone else but I couldn't tell you if a random human NPC is a breton, an Imperial, a tanned nord or a light skinned redguard. Humans just look like humans to me, and of course if you stick them in heavy armour and a helmet the khajiit and argonians are the only identifiable ones. But when it's possible to look closely I've noticed members of all the races in each other's zones, even as soldiers. (There's a lot of argonian guards outside Evermore for example.)

Some NPCs might even be randomly generated. I've never checked but it's possible that if the game just needs to populate an instance with, lets say, 20 lionguard it gets the uniform right but the NPCs themselves could be anyone and soemtimes more khajiit might appear, sometimes more orcs, or more bosmer etc.

Maybe the Lion Guard has become a mainly ceremonial institution? And the Khajiit have been picked because of their looks?

There have been a lot of strange "elite" guards in real history of far more dubious combat value.

That being said, the Covenant´s ideas and values can be rather appealing from a Khajiit point of view.

In game it might simply be that Lion guard is popular among Khajiit in Alik'r.
Some Khajiit joined and got other to join.

As Danikat said, many of these generic NPC roles are randomised. In this instance, you got many Khajiit; when you come back, it may have changed.

Also, as for percentages: I'm not sure why I need to point out that this is not the whole of the Lion Guard. That a small selection chosen for a specific duty at a specific time doesn't need to have proportional representation.

    Still worth a giggle.

Think its that Khajiit is in the loot table because its many of them in Alik'r.
Having lots of Bosmer, Dunmer and Argonians would be weird.
Having traders or sailors from random races makes sense however.

The standins seem to be randomly generated. rng tends to be somewhat broken in eso.
it seems to be very likely, to get alot of the same, when the game hastily generates a bigger amount of npcs.

memorable spots r e.g. the grp of fighters guildies waiting for u when leaving the doshia cave, the fighters and mages charging into coldharbour from stirk or the companion ghosts at the end of the sinmur story arc
