Amazon delivery solution

    Kgee, this is correct as far as I was made aware. I made a post about it yesterday I believe in the thread that got locked for some bickering. I explained how I spoke with an amazon CSR on Saturday and she explained to me that there was not a shortage so much as that they simply had not received the stock they were promised yet. She then promised me that those items were on the way and that I'd have mine on Monday at the latest. I did receive it on Sunday in fact. The shortage rumor was due to a lot of miscommunication by amazon and then spread by a lot of panic here on the forums.

    Just wanted to update: our Collector's Edition arrived today, but it is missing the codes for the IE upgrade and Explorer's Pack.

    So.....after shelling out the bucks for a pre order on the most expensive version of the game and all the other rigamoarole.....our box is incomplete.

    On the bright side, we can both oplay, the book is beautiful, and the statue isn't broken. The map gets framed and hung this weekend.

    It's pretty ridiculous that Zenimax hasn't at least offered temporary codes for the rest of you. They absolutely can generate a code, if they want to.

    Thanks @sylviermoone, I have a ticket in the queue right now about getting a code. The only problem is, like most everyone else, I have not received a response and probably won't before my copy arrives. So I guess I am just stuck until then.

    We got our temp code this morning, and our box showed up this afternoon. Since we are work all day, we didn't even get to use the temp code.

    We've asked CS to release that code to one of the others having this problem.....

    I keep wanting to frame all my elder scrolls maps but...the cost of frames that size tend to add up rather quickly. I should probably just do one every couple weeks or something for a while until I have them all done or something. Glad to hear all your stuff was in good condition though when it arrived, mine was too. The book was well worth any hassle imo :p , it's quite a nice piece and I look forward to reading through it.

    No, these are not being fulfilled by some other merchant, but directly by Amazon. The price is $99. There are other merchants listed in Amazon as selling the physical IE as well, but all of their prices are north of $150.

    Well that eases some tension on my end. I was thinking I might not even get a IE copy because of that issue. Now I just have to pray that when it arrives everything is in order.

    Still pissed about this whole thing though, but I need to do my taxes anyway.

    I was told by my CSR at Amazon this morning that in the beginning, they didn't have enough to ship when they needed to (speaking about the Collector's Edition, specifically), and the preorder list of priority orders went out the window; they just started shipping them to wherever.

    They bumped me up to priority shipping and guarantee it'll be here tomorrow. (20140408)

    She told me that in the last 24hrs they had had lots of order cancellations and so they had one to give me. (Seriously?)
    (Even though I was on that abandoned list of early preorders..)

    We'll see if it shows.
    Then we'll see if the codes are actually included.
    ...Then we'll see if anything's broken and in need of replacement.
    ........Then we'll see if I can get past the login problems being reported.

    We also want you to know that all Early Access customers were granted an extended grace period until Sunday, April 6, 2014 at 8AM EDT/2PM CEST/1PM BST before they were required to transition their account to live.
    This was also to cover online retail customers who didn't get their boxes shipped in time and gave digital customers more Early Access time.

    This one is slightly frustrated by the message written this way now when time has past. Ri'Dariit's pet was under the impression it received two days to "reimburse" early day botch, not to activate account.

    @sylviermoone how long had this one to wait to receive key? This one would like to have estimate of wait time before abandoning all hope.

    It's a misnomer for them to be saying that players were "granted an extended grace period..."
    There was nothing extended about it. They posted that deadline back in February. Hell, it's still on their FAQs page. (At least it is at the time of writing.)

    It was just their planned [regular] "grace period."
    ....Unfortunately they (for whatever reason) decided to have said period begin and end on a weekend when no carriers were delivering. lol

    An actual grace period would mean giving us more time on top of what was originally planned.
    (Which is, of course, still the most logical course of action for Zeni to take given the state of things.)

    As for actually getting that extension?
    Ri'Dariit would be wise not to hold one's breath.

    Most people probably cancelled their orders so they have some now. I know of at least 4 people that cancelled their shipments because of this nightmare.

    I commend you for your generosity, but CS has refused to release temp codes for me and many others even after I had pointed out that others have received such quick, responsive, and helpful service.

    CS wouldn't give me a temporary code either. And apparently the shipping company have lost my package. As you can imagine, I'm less than impressed by the whole thing.

    If you haven't gotten an email, I just contacted Amazon CS via chat using contact us and selecting the item. After relating the issue to the CS rep via chat I was informed that it should ship by tomorrow at the latest and I should have my IE by Saturday. In addition they offered my a credit to a future purchase (which will basically cover the taxes on the IE).

    It's good that the Amazon customers are getting compensated. Hopefully people who bought from other distributors (*cough* GAME.CO.UK *cough*) will get a similar compensation.

    @xy_productions‌ we were offered the temporary key yesterday morning, after submitting a ticketon Friday evening.

    So, we had to wait all weekend to get a response back. :-(

    Geez guys. What a mess. :-(

    This all so ridiculous. If Zenimax woild just create the freaking code so that those waiting for their game to show up could at least get their sub information in and start chewing on their 30 days, well.....I don't know if that even does anything at this point. You guys are going on day 4 of lock down.

    This is a MAJOR PR blunder. Zenimax needs to shut this down. They are losing tons of support and goodwill. Even with our issue resolved (kind of....still missing IE and Explorer's Pack keys), I'm telling people not to bother with this game. Customer support is not helpful to many that try to utilize it.

    It doesn't matter who made this problem. The only acceptable solution lies with Zenimax to give.
