Face it. Zenimax are handling us by ignoring us.
No official statement. No apologies. Nothing. Great way to treat your top customers!

If they want my understanding, I want them to get up on stage and cry just like Yoshida of final fantasy did:

I'm getting the feeling the Zenimax standpoint on this is ignore it for a week and it will all even itself out, sure with some bad blood generated in the process. after talking with amazon customer service they are amazing and I truly believe this was a problem with zenimax. amazon answers the phone when you call talked to me for 20 mins did everything in their power to help me and even refunded my premium shipping cost even tho it was obviously not their fault. I wish the problem was on amazons end because they would actually fix it, in a fast and professional manner with great customer service. maybe I just got lucky but both people I talked to at amazon were amazing.

Well ZOS should also give a credit to player that ain'y got possibility to log into the game due the fact of impossibility to redeem the key. But this would not happen, right?

    @ZOS_JessicaFolsom‌

I appreciate that we finally got a response on this thread. Thank you for that. However, please escalate to your management that this does NOT solve the problem or really even answer it. The problem is that those of us effected can not play. We need something that solves that problem. Not an excuse that it is Amazon's fault and nothing else can be done.

The fact of the matter is that I received an email from ESO promoting the CE edition ... the email was not from Amazon, I did not seek them out, they did not seek me out. The link I clicked in that email took me to the ESO site where I was required to purchase from them ... by direction from ESO. This makes it an ESO problem.

I received an email from a CSR stating that I should have known there would be issues. Well if that is the case, then why didn't you know and why did you contract with them?

This whole thing is completely ridiculous. You guys need to put a real solution in place to help the people that paid the most. We all could have gone down to the retail store or online and paid the cheapest rate. We chose to pay the highest rate and you are offering nothing.

Here, here! Not all of us are having Amazon problems. It seems to be every Retailer. I personally purchased from EB Games, does that mean I receive nothing?

Man, this is a weird backwards lottery... And I think I may have won!

Even for those of us who purchased through Amazon, that doesn't fix that problem at hand. We were referenced from your website and promotional emails to use these third parties to make our purchase. Now we have no access to a product we paid for and for some the third party still doesn't have an ETA.

The best solution I can think of (and still playing teso) is play a month then take a month off, Then play a month etc. At least I didn't pay a years sub fee in advance. I have that to thank for.

At least this proves that there has been communication, but it still doesn't resolve the issue of the people that are locked out of the game. Please extend to them the courtesy of letting them enter their sub information so that they can play while awaiting their shipment. This issue should be escalated for everyone that is affected.

Been asking for that since Friday, two days before Early Access ended. Never got a reply to the two tickets that were submitted

For those that ordered with Amazon. Please continue to report your issues with them. They have live chat and call you when you hit call me within minutes. They have answered every email sent and called back every time almost immediately every time.

They did pick up the ball with my fiancé and did give him something for all the hassles we had between Amazon and Zenimax. He now has his box edition sitting in our living room floor.

During all this hassle it was Amazon that helped and gave us customer service. They went out of their way to be sure to let us know we were valued customers. So, try Amazon again and again.

Sorry Zenimax, Amazon didn't ignore us. They made it right including giving us 70 dollars in a game and free shipping for the delayed product of yours we didn't receive because of problems ( won't say exactly what problems but they have been correctly posted in forums).
  • waynesrcb14_ESO
Amazon at least tried to do something. Zenimax only banned our access. I still cant play but Zenimax is the guilty party, Amazon cannot ban our access.

I'm extremely frustrated with this, how could the ball be dropped this hard, I've been an Elder Scrolls Fan since day one, i have e-mails from the company i order my physical copy from an everything, I've submitted a ticket, i tried calling technical support and went to contact customer service to no avail. I pulled up tracking info to find out it may not arrive till April 10-13th, And i'm being ignored by the company. My friends are still playing and i'm stuck waiting, locked out, and given absolutely no option to continue. I'm so disappointed, and right now customers will be lost over this mess up, Including me and lots of others.

Sorry, but as others have pointed out, Zenimax should take SOME responsibility for this fiasco and own up to it.

I've dealt with dozens of companies. When they are (partially) at fault, the usual response is:

    1) They apologize
    2) They do everything they can to make things right (like extending the access in a show of good faith)

We haven't gotten either. If Zenimax REALLY cares about its customers, this is the proper way to handle things. Not pass off the blame to a 3rd-party retailer.

Your problems are with Amazon so how is it ESO responsablity to give you extra days of game time it's not ESO'S fault of amazon incompetence. ESO more likely not responding cause they more likely can't help
  • waynesrcb14_ESO
ESO is the one that banned our access. After we paid $100 for a preorder.

Get that? Zenimax/Eso are the only people on the face of the earth capable of banning our access.

Of course its ESO responsability, Amazon didnt received enough copy to ship and apologizes and responds fast to customers, not like ZoS.
Moreover they launch a game on Friday, and give 2 days "grace" during weekend, who ship during week-ends?? And what's the point in giving people pre-access then kick them.
Btw I didnt preorder on Amazon but got same kind of problem. It was obvious that people wont get boxes right now furthermore during a week-end.
Its only Zenimax responsability and this lack of communication is frustrated.
Sad that it tarnishes Elder Scrolls Series
  • waynesrcb14_ESO
How really dumb of us all to PREORDER and actually expect to get to play. I mean really, how foolish of us.
  • peechwurmnub18_ESO
If you ordered through Amazon and your item has not yet shipped and you originally had a delivery estimate of the 4th,5th,6th,or 7th, I advise you to call Amazon repeatedly (you'll get a different CSR each time) and demand to know where your item is and that you were promised delivery at an earlier date. Also point out to them that you require that item to complete the authorization for the code they already sent you during pre purchase. Keep doing this until one of those CSR's sees your problem clearly and ships the package to you overnight. I did this Saturday and received my IE on Sunday by noon. Amazon WILL help you, they just have terrible communication between their employees, so you have to fight them a bit. Don't be rude, but be firm with them in discussing your issue.

I am also stuck in limbo because I wanted the physical extras. So, I paid a premium VIP price and instead of VIP backstage all access I get to lurk on my guild's voice chat and listen to them play. I, also, get to fall behind them progress wise and will most likely have to do the dungeons with a bunch of strangers instead of my friends. LAMO. Zenimax, please, reconsider doing business with BestBuy, Gamestop and Amazon in the future. Just because they are giant companies, doesn't ensure that they will be your best option to provide a service for your customers. If anything, it shows how little they care about your business and its success. I dearly hope your liaison with them, at bare minimum, gives their representatives a good yelling at and a threat of discontinued business in the future. This makes you look bad and your game look bad. Loss of trust and definitely a potential for lost subscribers. If I wasn't so excited about playing the game I would return it upon delivery.

Contacted Best Buy and they said they would be sending in a request to receive codes to send out to those of us who bought the Physical Imperial Edition. Told me to check my e-mail for the next 24hrs. My hopes are not high.

Wow! It seems rumors of not enough physical Imperial Editions are completely false. Amazon is still allowing you to add this item to your cart and you can get it by the 9th if you order in the next 17 hours.

No, these are not being fulfilled by some other merchant, but directly by Amazon. The price is $99. There are other merchants listed in Amazon as selling the physical IE as well, but all of their prices are north of $150.

Well that eases some tension on my end. I was thinking I might not even get a IE copy because of that issue. Now I just have to pray that when it arrives everything is in order.

Still pissed about this whole thing though, but I need to do my taxes anyway.

Zenimax's "hate it for ya" attitude with my PREORDER not being here until the 10th has pretty much turned my attitude into "whatever" concerning this game.

Saw that myself, it has to be the people who canceled their order because they were sick of all the bs, roflll, snag em while you can folks. Just checked and they're still up to buy.

Like I saw posted somewhere else, and it's true, we are the minority here. People who bought the physical Imperial Edition spent the most money, but are the minority.

That is probably why they are ignoring us. They have millions of other customers who are having issues inside the game and outside with setting up subscriptions.

But what I still can't wrap my mind around is why not just extend the grace period? Real simple, done and people are happy. Just makes no sense.
