My physical game doesn't have a time card.

I bought the imperial edition at gamestop and I can't find the time card anywhere.
I have 3 codes: 1 for the game itself, 1 for the explorers's pack, and 1 for the imperial editions special code. Not sure what to do.

The 30 days of game time will be include in the game code itself. As clearly stated on the website, a subscription will need to be setup to start your 30 days of included game time.

Does it say "clearly" you need to subscribe in order to get your 30 days? No

Yes. It says "To activate your 30 days of included game time, log into your game account at account.elderscrollsonline.com and follow the prompts to select your preferred subscription method" everywhere. All over the forums, on the launcher, and on the login screen. They couldn't make it any clearer if they tried.

The box does not say you have to spend money to acces the 30 days you paid for!
But this copany is from the US and their laws seem to be stuck in the middle age.
Over there it is legal to let you buy a product ant tell you afterwards you have to spend money to get what you already paid for.
This TOS you have to accept is a legal document over there... not like in the EU where it´s completly wothless even if you agreed onit.

Of course they do not care... you must buy a subsription to acces what you already paid for BUT you can cancel the subsription right after buying it.

If you ( due to an average IQ ) do not want them to have your credit card info and want to use game time cards you are screwed as you cannot unsubscribe and the money will be gone.

All subscription based games say this on the box and have been saying this since the beginning of MMOs

What other games do is irrelevant!
This one did not! Stop spearding lies!
Perhaps it got lost in translation... but that should not be the customers problem!

In the EU the whole contract must be easily accessible before paying for the product.
You are not allowed to add anything after the payment was done.
If it´s imprecise or understandable in more then one way the one who not wrote it must not have an disadvantage.
In court he would be able to choose how he undertood it.
That´s why any TOS that´s inside the box is irrelevant!
Any box with an "Agree" button at the end is irrelevant too as the payment was done already.

These are business laws over here.

It is not lies. How do I know that. Cause I have been playing MMOs for the past 14 years and it says it on every box. Look again closely and you will see it.

Does it say that you need to pay the whole sum for the subscription in advance? I will pay next month, but having funds on hold or checked now is absurd, next month i could have an empty account. They could have checked with 1 euro or less. But no, they checked for 66 euros because at subscription i selected 180 days subscription plan. So if it was written somewhere that i need to pay this sum up front, even if returned some time, and i missed it, i will ask for refund on the game. If it wasn't written anywhere and it is a pure abuse, i will sue. Just because i can, and i feel like doing it

You are not spending more money to access the 30 days included in the game. As with all other MMOs over the last 10 years or so, you are required to enter a valid credit or debit (or in this case, even paypal) to validate your account (for fraud purposes as well) as do other companies request this. Yes, they may make an pre-authorisation charge for the subscription amount but this WILL go back into your account (depending on your bank).

I am sure you have bought many products online (including your ESO game) which means you have to enter credit details into any of these sites; obviously this is the way the world operates now so maybe you are the one stuck in the middle ages if you are not willing to move with the times.

Maybe MMOs and other online games are not for you if you do not want to enter your card details online - do you own an xbox? Well that also requires you to enter card details onto this as well.

Also, if you are going to throw a strop over something which is clearly described on both the box (as mentioned above) and website, then make sure you spell check first :)

You are getting personal... that is unproffessional and tells me that you have no real arguments.

My spelling in a foreign language has nothing to do with business laws in the country I live and bought this product in.
What other companies do is completly irrelevant.
What products I own, or in the X-Box case I despise, are irrelevant.
What I bought and how I paid in the past is irrelevant.

I have not changed my doctor since I was a child and he still gives me free stuff.
I pay nothing for beeing treated.
Can I expect every company giving me free stuff?

THIS game has not written on the box that you have to send them money to unlock what you already paid for.
The possibility of unsubscribing right after it is irrelevant too.
Even if it does... if you bought it online it had to be written in the description.
    It was not.

The authorization could have been done with a small sum, not the whole amount. Like 0.01 euro/dollars. Even 1$ was ok, but no.
In any other MMO or online purchase, i payed when there was a final transaction. No holds on money, no sums to be returned. And because you can remove your subscription right after the authorization completes, it becomes useless, for everybody. Well not really, it's very useful for other games that fight for your game time, because it annoys people.
