Yes. It says "To activate your 30 days of included game time, log into your game account at account.elderscrollsonline.com and follow the prompts to select your preferred subscription method" everywhere. All over the forums, on the launcher, and on the login screen. They couldn't make it any clearer if they tried.Does it say "clearly" you need to subscribe in order to get your 30 days?
The box does not say you have to spend money to acces the 30 days you paid for!
But this copany is from the US and their laws seem to be stuck in the middle age.
Over there it is legal to let you buy a product ant tell you afterwards you have to spend money to get what you already paid for.
This TOS you have to accept is a legal document over there... not like in the EU where it´s completly wothless even if you agreed onit.
Of course they do not care... you must buy a subsription to acces what you already paid for BUT you can cancel the subsription right after buying it.
If you ( due to an average IQ ) do not want them to have your credit card info and want to use game time cards you are srewed as you cannot unsubscibe and the money will be gone.
You are not spending more money to access the 30 days included in the game. As with all other MMOs over the last 10 years or so, you are required to enter a valid credit or debit (or in this case, even paypal) to validate your account (for fraud purposes as well) as do other companies request this. Yes, they may make an pre-authorisation charge for the subscription amount but this WILL go back into your account (depending on your bank).
I am sure you have bought many products online (including your ESO game) which means you have to enter credit details into any of these sites; obviously this is the way the world operates now so maybe you are the one stuck in the middle ages if you are not willing to move with the times.
Maybe MMOs and other online games are not for you if you do not want to enter your card details online - do you own an xbox? Well that also requires you to enter card details onto this as well.
Also, if you are going to throw a strop over something which is clearly described on both the box (as mentioned above) and website, then make sure you spell check firstThe box does not say you have to spend money to acces the 30 days you paid for!
