Same issue. Still waiting on that "10 minute" lockout.

It is annoying, but there is a workaround. You can play on different computer or just replace your network card with other. I did change my wireless network card and that is how I escaped eternal 10 min lock of doom. They probably lock clients based on some hardware network card numbers.

I know its not a good solution, but its only I know so far.
Do you like to run things in all Khajiit teams? Me too, so don't ever hesitate to contact me in game (@RakshaTheKhajiit, PC NA) if you'd like to be in one of our all Khajiit runs or you need more Khajiit for your runs.

This is precious. I just got a response to my help ticket. To sum up:

The person ("James") told me to clear my browser cache. MY BROWSER CACHE. Seemed to have glossed over the entire body of my help ticket and submitted to me a copy-pasted, totally USELESS response that had not a single thing to do with my problem.

    Brilliant.

I think what may have caused the issue is that I tried to log in during the down time and I got an error saying that an access code was being sent to me. I did not however have an option for where to enter the access code. So I closed out of the game. About 20 min later my friends in teamspeak said game was up so I tried to log in and I recieved this error. That was 8 hours ago... this customer service is really disappointing.

If u really want to compete with blizzard u need to actually show ur customers u respect their time. It doesnt matter how great u think ur product is. If it doesnt work or people cant log in then people wont play. Ignoring players in these times will further alienate them and create many poor reviews. I waited an hour on hold for customer support and still have not rieceved my email or phone call for support. With blizzard and funcom I always recieved a reply within 30 minutes... step up ur game!

So ive found a workaround... its not a file, so a format wont work, reinstall wont work, it is your network card address they have blacklisted somehow.
If u have a spare wireless card or card that is not onboard it will have a different network card address. right click my computer, properties, device manager, disable the network card u were using enable the other.
Works as a temporary fix for now until they get this fixed up. Provided you have a spare card of course.... Mos people im sure have onboard and that is it.

Many people have tried logging into other networks to no avail. Seems partly conditional, only we can't figure out what those conditions are. The only people who seemed to get around this consistently did so by logging in via another computer altogether which seems to imply a client-side issue. If I could only find the cache file/folder, I'd try clearing it--but no dice so far.

To clarify--this might work for some (see above) but certainly not all. Like I said, there are some conditions being/not being met but it's hard to figure out what's wrong, so we have to wait for the devs to figure it out.

well if u are using the same computer to try on a different network it will have the same network card address, because that is the address assigned on your network card which is built into most (all) peoples motherboards.

I have found a work around, it is tied to the MAC address of your ethernet adapter. Some network cards (onboard or not) will allow you to change your MAC address. What I suggest below is for advanced users and Windows 7 only (some steps will translate to other versions) USE AT YOUR OWN RISK:

Click on your network icon in your taskbar (bottom right, near clock by default). Click "Open Network and Sharing Options".
In the new window, click on "Change adapter settings" on the left side.
Find your active connection, right click and "Disable" it.
Do this for all adapters, just to be safe.

Go to start menu, right click on "Computer"
    Click on "Properties"
Click on "Device Manager" on the left side.
    Expand "Network adapters"
Double click on the adapter you intend to use.
    Click on the "Advanced" tab
There should be a list of settings you can alter, you are looking for "Network Address" (if the option is not there you cannot change it)
Click in the text box and enter 12 random hexadecimal characters (these would be 0-9 or A-F). Make sure it is not similar to the actual MAC address.

    Click Ok
Re-enable the adapter (first section you disabled it)

I have been trying VPNs (new networks), searching for ini files that would stop this, even tried another onboard NIC (since it was enabled when I first experienced this issue, it locked that one out too), all kinds of methods. I just logged in after 10-ish hours of tooling around.

so im not entirely pc savvy, should i not even attempt this?

Edit: Never mind. Forget it. I'm going to sleep. Been dealing with this lack of respect and communication all day.

Call me a rager if you want idc anymore for the day/night. Maybe sleep will lift my mood. Maybe I will actually get a response tomorrow.

Happy Hunting to those that can actually enjoy what they paid for.

I wouldn't say to NOT do it, but keep track of what you change so you can change it back. Most of the steps are navigational, in reality all you are doing is disabling your ethernet adapter, changing a setting on it, and re-enabling it.

Im speechless. Going on 10 hours now and 1 single reply to the forums by the dev team. Do we really mean that *** little to them when 10% of the population end up leaving because they cant give common courtesy to their paying customers and just give us a more accurate idea of 1. An actual ETA on when they are going to fix their *** up... 2. Even better how about telling us what is wrong and actually trying to help us get into the game or give possible suggestions to this damn dilemma???

i blame that on the loading screen of cyrodill .
that's the last thing i was trying to do.
i was trying to get into the campaign ,seeing that the loading wasn't working i alt+F4 it and restarted the game then that F@#$%@% access code thingy pops up.
go to my email ,see the code has been sent .
try it multiple time . Blocked out of my account.
    the end.
  • troy.hostetler_ESO
Well i figured it out I had a second external wireless adapter. So I disabled my internal adapter and it loaded up just fine with the new one. So its a solid answer for all of us that had beeen screwed all day long. They BLACKLISTED our network adapters somehow. Now fix it properly!

We've been investigating the situation, and have two different things we would like to ask you all to please try (if you haven't already).

    Rebooting your computer
    • Please turn your computer completely off, wait for a minute or so, and then turn it back on. If this doesn't work:
    Resetting your internet connection
    • Unplug your ethernet wire (or disable your wireless connection if you are using wireless).
    • Turn off your router and wait for 15 minutes.
    • Turn your router back on.
    • Plug the ethernet wire/turn on wireless.
If these do not resolve this, please let us know here. Thank you for your patience!

Funny, once I said that, now they post and respond.

My room mate (morfeis1, who has also commented on this thread) did both of those as suggested many hours ago ZOS_MichelleA. He still hasn't gotten a callback either and he put in tickets 10 hours ago for one.
