No, no, no and no...
General NO to all account wide stuff.
Opinions and wishes such as that brought the mmo genre to state we have now. Casualized, dumbed down dps races...
Yes, and clicking 400 rocks for the 10th time is so HARDCORE. That one time, you wouldn't believe what happened to me when I tried to get a Skyshard - I *** you not, but I MISSCLICKED. It was the most intense thing ever. Never mind vet trials - those are for babies. Real men click rocks and books for hours to no end, because that's HARDCORE, DEEP and ENGAGING content.

If it doesnt affect you and the option is there for others why not?
The skyshards are linked to achievements and I feel achievements shouldn’t be account wide as it would bad for the game. I know there’s achievements linked to cp but you have to allocate them before you unlock the achievements and they’re generic. How would it work for skyshards? The skyshard achievements are specific and hunting them down is part of the fun.
Making achievements account wide or removing the achievements for skyshards would affect me hence why I said no thank you
Wouldn't affect you if when creating an alt you get the choice create a linked character or a new character
A linked character means they would share all the same achievements be at level 50 already and unlock a harder overland version playsble by all linked characters.
Caveat would be you must on the first character have all sky shards, all side quests all main quests and both guild quest lines completed Inc Caldwell's gold n silver
A new character is totally separate and functions as it does now
I understand the compromise you are trying to build here and appreciate it, but I'm not sure how you could create an instanced combat scenario for a player character in the "hardmode" while you're fighting along side a PC in "normal mode." I guess you could put a permanent debuff to all stats for the "hardmode" but that wouldn't be in line with vertical character progression...

As much as I love to re collect 1000 collectables it would be nice to only have to do this once per account. Nothing burns out new users more than a necessary grind to make other characters viable. Especially on console, we don't get addons. So even if the option was given to us that would be great, like a toggle on/off option. Suggestion from another member included a soft cap on skill points earned from skyshards for every 5 or ten levels until level 50 where the full amount is earned. And even a soft cap on the mages guildline for lorebooks. And with the most recent DLC this still is relevant. Perhaps give consoles the ability to use the skyshard addon? Give us something we spend thousands of hours and dollars on this game. Even some feedback would be alright.

I mean people who say no are just being silly, if you done it once, you really don't need to do it again. It is not enjoyable or engaging game play.
Or just give players a option, you can't say no to player choice.

No because it is a game and you should have to play the game if you want all your alts viable

Granted I like the CPs, but this would way unbalance things
Not a good idea

and mostly this is enough for us?
no quests or exploriation is keeping us in this game but veteran content with friends
quests and exploration to do again and again is keeping us to not play more than 1 character so what is going with this we play less this game as we play only 1 character at all

This highlights the problem that people with no interest in normal PvE content are lobbying to change the way PvE operates. Perhaps those of us who have no interest in PvP content should draw up a list of demands for changing the way PvP operates!
The argument that such changes would be optional doesn't work on something as critical to the gameplay as unlocking achievements and allocating rewards. ZOS would have to run two totally different systems alongside each other and allow players to switch between them. Moreover, what is described as optional quickly becomes mandatory as soon as you want to avoid being kicked from groups because you haven't unlocked or allocated the skill points considered necessary by the rest of the group.

story mode account wide as well? that way you wont have to redo the story on all 6 classes
also the skills you know..mage fighter undaunted legedermain thiefe because its hard to work on those for 6 different chars
tell me lies howards... should definitly consider making the whole game account wide
you guys want to play eso but you want all the japanese rpg features ( 1 char all classes and jobs) without the japanese rpg
features...would be like wanting to be a mma world champion without earning your title.
So now it take 100 hours beyond level 50 to be viable?BrianLovesLisa wrote: »As much as I love to re collect 1000 collectables it would be nice to only have to do this once per account. Yea I go gear hunt and level to 50. Why do I need to throw another 100 hours for it to be usable?
Oh, please, stop with this nonsense. Skyshards, mage and psijic skilline grinding is not even PvE content. It's mindless collecting, there's literally no environment to be against. Psijic have a quest for it only nominally. This highlights the problem that people with no interest in normal PvE content are lobbying to change the way PvE operates.
People really need to start playing as characters again. Its not about you but your character, the person behind the screen is not visible to the world of Tamriel and his or her accomplishments do not matter to the character.
No to account wide stuff.

Game allso needs some mechani8sms that are grindy and while they are not fun, game needs them to keep people in
ok @Tapio75
when I create character I play how I want and play literally same way on every character but only different skillis depending on class...if I could I would play only 1 character without any alts but I cant...
if could have readed some post before...account wide things wont be onlocked till you hit 50lvl character and problem solved for under 50lvl pvp ( @Tonturri ) so this wont make any impact for players under 50lvl even while leveling/playing on pveGame allso needs some mechani8sms that are grindy and while they are not fun, game needs them to keep people in
I dont think so it is working well
do you see how many peopl are sick with just grinding guilds for their every new cahracter?
this grind is reason why I preffer to go afk or just look witht nonsense at memes I have seen long ago instead od repeating it on my alt - so thanks grind like this for every character I just dont play this game longer
ofc I have made 10 character to 50lvl and thats all - I have no any willing to grind them all more to be at playable state
I could play more than even 5 character...but oh well...as I wrote this repeating all over again is just keeping me to not play them at all and keeping them only as magazines unable to do any better content and so I play only single character....mmm play...better I could say I barely play as Im really bored of playing same class for years
yes I stil ahve many things to do in this game in veteran content as I was in quit for long...but while I play on my alt (only character besides main in proper playable state but still missing some things) I just dont care about completing all in game like I wanted on my retired main
now all I do is jsut staying afk in game waiting for call by anyone to maybe do something with him if even
thats only because as that many things are character locked and if I complete something on my alt this wont count to my main and vice-versa - this is my point why I dont play this game to complete in 100% anymore as it have no sense for me since not playing on my main
