I just read the patch notes you planned and it looked good till i read this point. You basically will make all ball groups in pvp that actually keep pvp alive leave the game, as they want to play organized and cant do that if you complelety remove the only reason for rapids in group ... Zergs will still run in cyro, but you basically bash all PvP endgame groups out of the game.
I promise you if this go live like this i am also gonna quit the Game and all PvP Guilds i know and played with so for will aswell, as the only reason to still play this game is to raid (organized) together and you just destroy that complelty.
I hope we can prevent this as I and my Guild still enjoys raiding and dont wanna stop cause you make it simply not possible to raid anymore. 2 Caltrops will basically destroy your movement, the 15% less damage taken from behind wont help you if your grp gets stuck all time cause they cant sustain or slot a snare removeable skill.
Is one of the ZOS Team actually PvP raiding on an endgame level?

    Rapids is one of those quality of life skills that makes large scale fights actually remotely enjoyable. You will still get stunned and snared all the time, but at least you have SOME breathing room.

    Without the snare removal those fights will be no fun and simply annoying because every single solo player will just spam caltrops, time stop and whatever (like they already do now).

    I want to fight and not be concerned with how I can make my character move again.

    Best change ever. Pug zergs will now have a chance to disrupt the organized ball groups instead of just being farmed.

    @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_RichLambert Please reverse the change to Rapids. This the one of the only defenses that groups have left for combatting Time Stop. Time Stop is a spammable AOE hard CC that can be used at a range that also bugs out making it difficult to break free and move. Against raids of players that spam Time Stop and siege, Rapids is one of the few abilities left that keeps skilled coordinated group play alive. Please think about this and please reverse that change.

    @ZOS the pvp in eso is already horrible most of the time because of pug-zergs, server performance, etc. (We told you about before). Pls dont make the last enjoyable part, the organised group pvp, also *** by nerfing rapids.

    I've been playing this game since late beta almost completely in Cyrodiil and I honestly had no idea that there was a group of players who thought of themselves as endgame pvp'ers and chose to run around in a ball group. High end pvp guilds yep I've seen them come and go. dominate maps. carry a faction.

    Sorry but a ball group running around Arrius, Fare or Glade second floor farming potatoes is terrible for the game. If this means those groups leave, nobody will miss them. Hope they set up a way to give everybody there stuff.

    Can't argue with ya and damn it make me sad. I love this game and I only PvP and when I see these changes, I get more and more depressed.

    First, I would recommend not threatening to quit. Not sure if Zos will look at that as a demand or a quit thread. Either way I suggest a different choice of words.

    Second, I would also be more specific with what you are actually complaining about since there are two changes to rapids in the patch notes. I might have missed it but I did not see what nerf OP was talking about. Yes, I can figure it out, but I am just suggesting clearer communication.

    The Top end PvP guilds will adapt like we have at every major update. The issue is that the mass Pug simi organised groups will not, and that is the market that ZOS listen too. I've played this game since beta and come to except that the loudest voice win out, even if it will damage the game.
    This is a kick in the teeth to the players trying to overcome the movement changes seen in Murkmire and the easily reapplied snares that has plagued the game for a while now.
    A snare cooldown and cap would be logical which would aid everyone and improve the quality of life in pvp. As people have wanted the fast paced PvP we saw a few patches ago and would also coinside with their CC cool they added.

    Well, i canot imagine really u can do that with manover. That just too many bad for the game atm. Balls group are gameplay also for this game and if you do that that gona break the game more and more. Or it also a new way to remove all magicka in group cause stamina got momentum to prevent spam root.

    you should really focus to make cyro playable, if eveybody think balls group is the reasons of lags atm that just really big mistake. Without them you will got like 50 mans zergs movings spaming skill and make figth in keep under infinite fights.

    you can already imagine what gona happen for example Nikel / ash will be premanent under zerg move and not only there. That not good change for game that remove all interest to play in organized group and make this game less fun for a large number of player still in this game since beta.

    Like I said in another thread, I only seen zergers and ball groups use this skill. Typical small scalers already have their own snare removal or have a Templar.

    This is a good change, good ball groups will adapt. As have everyone else after murkmire speedapocalypse.
    Ya'll gonna have to be as frustrated as everyone else about having snares applied 24/7 in pvp.
    To the guy who claimed "pvp will die" if ball groups die. Woooow dude, just wow.

    Yeah I dont play in raids lol.

    I can see how a lot of the newer PvPers who haven’t really broken away from the large scale zerg mentalities could be worries about this change. But don’t worry! The ball zerg playstyle might be the least demanding of experience or character micro out there (unless you’re leading it), but this change will force the players in each of those groups to learn how to better manage their individual characters in PvP. Once this is improved, this will open up other forms of openworld PvP that were previously too intidimodating, such as medium scale, small scale, and 1vX

    I’m very excited about this - more large scale groups developing the skill sets to small scale will be great for the health of the servers, great for GvG, great for fights, and great for the community.

    This is only a nerf to ball groups. Pug zergs that appear in masses of 30+ are too bad to slot maneuver.
    Would be nice if ZOS for once nerfs zergs too.

    Remove something to prevent full spaming snare / root on group in cyro is near to remove in pve the taunt skill on tank for pve. That absoluty stupid, and everybody can understang give cyrodiil more "slow" is not the good way to take if dev team want give cyrodiil great again.

    Good raids will adapt.

    The main change this makes is twofold.

    It reverses the nerf that organized small groups took vs large organized raids with the overall speed nerfs with Murkmire. Now, since no one has speed vs CCs, small groups can root large groups better, regaining their ability to pick their battles.

    It slows down combat for everyone. Large organized raids will have to adjust how they break free of CCs and work harder to remain cohesive in combat, which will slow down the pace of large scale fights. Again, large organized raids will adjust with different tactics and organized small groups will find it easier to fight large organized and disorganized groups.

    Its a buff to organized small groups who fought large organized raids, a buff which was needed largely because ZOS gutted speed with Murkmire.

    The question I'm left with is: Why does ZOS want to slow down combat?

    @Thogard i am 100% for making max Group size 12 People as a good raid with 12 People can fight most fights in cyro.
    good 16man grp like Zerg Squad was is kinda unkillable and i find it boring if you raid with so many as there isnt a real challenge and single Player skill matters less.
    you gotta seperate between 24 solo Players in one Group and 12 man endgame pvp Guild group

    I dont know how you handle that on NA, but my PvP Guild and all other serious pvp guilds (lux dei, fist, Slack Squad) ignore smallscalers and solo Players as you know each other anyway and Play with them often (smallscale etc) when you dont raid..
    But if you obviously Always bash a Guild grp and zerg them/pull them/ chase them whatever they also gonna tryhard you …

    how does dracarys handle that on NA?

    This is actually a huge buff for my mag small scale group but we’re a niche extension spec.

    Stam small scale won’t get run down as easily openworld though so that’s nice. No more hiding in towers (although still plenty of tower play).
