Morphs could include various things like gain ult back per rez, lower cost but lesser radius and people rezzed, etc. I'm sure you can think of some pretty inventing ideas for it.
If you want to compare Necromancer to the Death Knight in World of Warcraft, there's Blood (Tanking), Frost (DPS), and Unholy (DPS/Support? It's been years since I played) Perhaps Necro could be something like that, a jack of all trades class like Warden. I hope it isn't like that though, and that it's mainly a DPS class.
What do you guys think?

I’d be fine with temporary summons (like the Warden’s) that are not targetable and can’t be used to LOS. On the other hand, if ZOS would do the right thing and make ALL pets (incl. sorc pets and WW pets) untargetable, I’d be fine with the necromancer being a pet class. No one should be able to troll a BG match by rolling a premade group that kites around 16 pets.

That would really be something new.
A passive relating to the Ice Staff in one of the trees (that is ideally is uniquely toggle-able). This passive over-rights the Ice Staff taunt and makes the Ice Staff the BIS for the Necromancer.
So a Tank Necro may not want to have this passive, or a DPS Necro may want to have this passive. The result being that the Ice Staff is drastically changed to more a feasible DPS staff. Having a DPS in the group chilling enemies, slowing enemies, and other status effects might be worthwhile if the Ice Staff wasn't so terrible.
Also, Class Change Token is what I was above all else with Necro.
