    Class or gtfo.

This game is ridiculous enough already with how laughably limited it is in comparison to other MMOs.

Everything comes down to dual wield/bow or 2x destro staff.

That's how bad it is. Same skills on every single class if you want to do end game. It's really nauseating.

At least add some new classes which MIGHT break up this stagnation a bit.

When I got Morrowind, I created warden.
I didn't like warden, but I liked character. She was nice. After Summerset - with no new class there - I deleted and recreated her as sorc.
She loves all necromantic things. She has two skeletal pets and undead horse. She has all craft 50, except jewellery (~40), and just few days ago she finally reached 50 lvl...
    DAMN.

(Though, I think that class is better than skill line)

New classes won't break this up exactly because of what you said. Necromancers too will just run dw/bow and double destro like everyone else.
Maybe in other MMOs, a new class is a big deal. But in ESO, you can play any class in any role, and they don't diverge a lot in how they play as a DD, tank or healer because they share a lot of non-class skills and gear sets. Necromancers are not going to fill any role or niche that isn't already occupied by the other classes - they will fit somewhere into the hierarchy of who makes the best DD, healer or tank, same as Wardens did.

The best way to shake things up would be non-class skills that are better for some classes than others, e.g. new shock spells or summons that are best for Sorcerers. So new weapons like spears and conjuration staffs, or spellcrafting.

On the one hand, I really hope it's a skill line. I love being able to add flexibility and a different playstyle to existing classes. I'd like to have more of that.

OTOH a new class would be cool because, presumably, it would be wholly unique and have a lot MORE abilities to play with than a skill line. BUT if they go with a new class then it's high time we got the much longed for class change token at last. and at least ONE free one should come with the purchase of the chapter.

There is no diversity with Classes.

And, more importantly, there are no choices with Classes.

If you feel there's no diversity with Classes and no choices, considering they get 3 Skill lines, then how on earth does a single Skill line where you'd only use one or maybe two Skills come anywhere close to adding any diversity? It really wouldn't, it would be a thing where one or two things would become staple for certain builds, like how Undaunted is mostly used for Inner Rage for Tanks and Necrotic Orbs for Healers, and then the Undaunted Mettle passive for min/maxers. Or Fighters Guild for Dawnbreaker, Trap Beast, and Silver Chains for those tanks that aren't Wardens or DKs. I could give other examples, but Skill lines don't add as much to gameplay as you seem to think they do.

At any rate, I can see people who are stuck at max rosters being upset about a new Class being introduced, but I would be really surprised if they didn't give at least one other character slot upgrade to take that into consideration. ZOS should know a lot of people are at 15/15, especially the more serious players who like having a lot of options in what they play at any given time, and they should (hopefully) have the common sense to know most people aren't going to want to delete a current character to make a new one. Now if we DON'T get a 16th character slot, that would be stupid and then complaints about a new Class would have more bearing.

Personally I want a class more than a skill line.

Skill line will end up the same as other guild ones, you choose one skill which is good for your build and the rest is ignored.

There are slots for 5 skills and 1 ultimate per weapon. You don't use all of the Class skills.

I hope when Spellcrafting comes out, we will not have any more Classes.
True but class skills are still locked to a class and in theory making that class feel special.

Guild skills are "this is best for mag/stam builds, slot it" and ignore the rest. Almost everyone runs it.

Turelus "locked" a word that doesn't fit with The Elder Scrolls.
Yet we have a game which has done that for four years and we all play.

No. Psijic was lame and is mostly unused aside from a few niche builds. I’d like something lasting that can be tweaked, patched and theory crafted with rather than a generic skill line that’s capped and forgotten about in a week.

new class = You want to play with the new toys, you need to make a new character [or hope against all hopes that zos releases a class change token]

new skill line = you can use the new toys without making a new character.

As much as I like necromancy, it should have been in from the start. It should be a class and it should be the last one, (possibly monks might be class of their own). What I would like to see is more weapon skill lines released to bring more variety to all the classes, especially mag classes. For me I only have one main and just don't have it in me to start a new class and do all of the quests over again to get to the point my main is. I'll just make one, grind to 50 get enough skill points I need for a PvP build and that's it. But with new weapon types it can change things for all classes, that is if they are any good.

I rather have a new class with new skills and passives.

If it's just a skill line, already powerfull builds with one flex spot will just put one powerfull skill on that spot, and everyone will use it, like timefreeze.

Meh, a new class it better imho

OP, you are out voted. I too want a new class because I am getting sick of them just making skill lines. Necros worship daedra and the skills should be daedra skills not just daedric pets like the sorcs have which honestly, sorcs should not have daedric pets. If they wanted to give sorcs pets, they should have been something else. Not all sorcs worship the daedric lords.

I hate the necromancer archetype, so I would hate to have to use necromancy skills (as I'm sure they'd be BiS for a bit). Psijic Order was fine because it was thematically neutral, but necromancy is unequivocally evil/dark and would clash with a lot of base class themes (namely templar and warden).

I'm only against more classes because ZOS is terrible at balancing them. Magden is still not a viable endgame class, 1.5 years after it came out.

I'd love to see more skills, especially for magicka classes. Right now, magicka only has 1 weapon skill line. Would be nice to get more of those.

Problems arise when you have to use the new skill line because it's BiS (see Psijic Order when it came out). Not everyone wants a character that casts both holy magic and uses necromancy.
