Mennox✭✭That is all well and good saying don't patch during prime time (take note that the servers were brought down around 2:30pm GMT which is far from Prime Time)
Plus, they also mentioned that this patch would have been made available during the normal downtime schedule tomorrow, but as there were a lot of quest stopping bugs affecting multiple users, then that decision to move forward the patch has to be made. Had they not patched today, you would still have hundreds of posts demanding they patch the game........they cant please everyone!
No email either, guess the large amount of login requests has caused a bottleneck on the server (no surprise there really) lol
What makes me laugh is those that "quit" or state "sub cancelled" over something every IT infrastructure goes through, whether new or old. Rather than moan about it, provide some structured criticism
Like: Dont patch at 6pm and forward (my timezone) and ruin my afternoon. Patch in the night, every business which has IT infrastructure knows that patches go wrong in 50% of the time, so dont do them at prime time.
Also by not doing them prime time, you dont get your servers bottlenecked.
So yeah, common sense hello.

uppsid✭✭I have the same problem, but one thing most of you don't get/know (I'm just assuming) is that the reason why they patch at european peak time is this: Zenimax is located in the US so of course they start patching when they get to work (around 10am their time usually) It's like this with every single MMO that I've played, you get used to it (or not, depends on your patience).

Thats bullsh*t btw. every bigger mmo i ever played patched EU server on EU time, at night or early in the morning when everyone was working/school.
