✭✭I'm not at all surprised by the price. It's a limited-time item, and we all know those have been priced higher than the regular mounts - they've done this since the launch of the crown store.
And I agree that 600 would be expected, since it's limited-time and regular apex mounts cost 400 gems. Not any different than pricing of limited-time crown items over the "normal" versions. If it's too high, then don't buy it. It's just digital crap anyway and completely unnecessary to play and enjoy the game. This is something that I have to remind myself of when I see something in the store I'd like but at a price I think is too high.
Not trying to defend ZOS on their prices in general, and Mara knows I've complained about crown pricing myself on these forums. I'm just saying that I don't see this as being anywhere out of line with any of their other pricing, and anyone who thought it would be 400 gems like regular apex mounts hasn't been paying attention to their limited-time pricing model. Maybe 500 gems would have been a more comparable price to the limited-time crown prices.3 -

Or they realize they gave people too many gems with all the free crates, so they're trying to reduce the supply.
It's a gratuitous luxury, at a gratuitous price. I'd certainly never buy it.
But it's not anything "illegal"/immoral/whatever. It's an imaginary item, and a high price, to fight inflation of an imaginary currency. /shrug

It’s not a Radiant Apex. It’s not even a regular apex. It’s a saber cat version of the Frostmare that was released years ago for 3k crowns and later as a legendary crate reward for 100 gems.

✭✭✭I bought a 21,000 crown pack at 179.99 and got 600 gems just from that. Bought the frost cat mount, but definitely not worth 600 gems.
While I'm not going to tell you how to spend your own hard-earned cash, it is behaviour like yours that encourages their OTT pricing behaviour.

Snowfaeriewings✭✭✭Its just sad they have all these tons of fire and dead ugly mounts and pets easily obtainable. they Finally put out decent ice ones and make them soo expensive AND they put them after brand new crates so the odds of getting a large gem amount in return for a repeat was extremely low. So you could end up buying so many crates, its literally not worth it. So probably just the nixad for me because I already had the gems for it. I would have paid you for the crowns Zos.. Just sayin...3 -

I agree though that the whole gem system is a travesty. Whatever you're going to sell, and however you're going to price it, make it a direct transaction.
Alternatively, I would OK with ZoS (1) returning to the original model where everyone had to be a subscriber, and then (2) making these cool mounts available to everyone via game play. Imagine being able to buy certain mounts with pledge keys or writ vouchers, for example.3 -

There is no way you have any actual evidence to back up this claim, especially not so emphatically as if it was fact. This type of thing is what stirs up trouble, you may have experienced your 2600 possible connections dwindling, but that means nothing in the context of the population.

I bought the black one, and it's prettier that this poor frozen thing with its borrowed clothes. If they are going to charge that much they need to at least model some new harness for it.
