Hmm. I have a proposal.

So, around Christmas or beyond , we should have a big unofficial Kyne event. One/two weeks worth of intense PvPing. Instead of checking just the end of campaign score, we see the score accumulation over 1 day

E.g if EP, DC have 2200 and 5000 on day 1 , and 3000 and 5300 on day 2, EP win the rewards for day 2 and so on.

Of course an additional campaign end reward may also be given to the winning faction.

Daily score rewards (DSRs) will be given to lead campaign MVPs (according to AP gained unfortunately as there is no other metric) who can chose to distribute among guild / friends / comrades if they so wish. DSR May contain items such as crafting mats, gold, motifs etc. instead of all the stupid *** we get from mid year events and the like. (<— open to suggestions about DSR and how to ensure factionwide satisfaction).

The point of DSRs is to make sure that people log in and play even if there is a faction with twice as much score as them. No one is gonna take this seriously if there is only an End Campaign Reward because then the loser/winner bias is already present.

This may take some capital to set up but if we try together it can happen. Can advertise it as well to get larger pop.

I’ll be out of game for the next two weeks, but would love to help with this after that if there is interest. Might be a little ambitious but it’ll be a hell of an event.

Edit:
We could do like a tiered rewards system with the market value of DSRs being from 300k-50k or something ... and I forgot to mention , MVPs are also judged by daily AP gain for DSR (instead of net leaderboard ranking), so that people have a strong incentive to play every day...

Frankly, I'm not sure that there is enough passion around non-vet PVP anymore for this to work, but if it takes off I can donate some stuff for rewards.

That being said, if this idea does gain traction, I've got some ideas on how you could handle the logistics of this whole thing.

I see more under 50 players in vivec than I had seen in kyne before I left.

All kyne is anymore is one faction pvdooring the map. Be it early morning or late at night.

Then the faction gate camps til they get some resistance and then they disappear for the next faction to pvdoor.

You might get on average, about 2hrs of pvp anymore in kyne, from my last experiences there.

Personally, gold has never been my incentive to play PvP. Honestly, I don't even remember what made me play in Cyro every day for hours, all I remember is that it was awesome genuine fun back in the days.

I'm still down for 1 week tho. And yall better show up!! Otherwise... Q(- . -Q)

....I'm actually lowkey planning on running a few groups while off from work this holiday season. Ran for a few hours yesterday, had some good fights, some underwhelming fights, etc.--but I'm hoping it'll warm up once some schools release.

I have..10 levels of AD, 10 levels of DC, and like 40 levels of EP to play through before I'm really locked out of Kyne until a new class is released, if ever.

My incentive was always just having fun. I'd imagine it was the same for most people. There are far more lucrative things you can do than non-vet PVP.
