Again, if someone ports without making sure everyone agrees, kick them.

We just had that very thing happen! I queue up one of my low level alts for a normal Random, end up getting Darkshade Caverns I. The team was another level ~12, a level ~40 and some high CP guy. The high CP guy immediately teleports to FG1. Us three low levels pick up the quest and continue on our merry way. He tells us we need to follow him over, we say we're all there for the quest, he says we'd be smarter if we followed him over, he gets kicked.

Group Finder takes a minute, with us still making great progress, but eventually finds us another tank... only its the same guy! Not sure how that happened, as the cool down timer should have still been active, but it was delicious. Anyways, he was livid... livid! He realizes its the same group and just starts cussing us out and berating us and our intelligence. Something about not having the DPS needed to clear one of the bosses and that we were so bad it was never going to happen, despite that the 3 of us "low-levels" were just plowing through everything at a solid pace. I say "low-level" cause I'm maxed CP with a master craftsman, so even my low-level toons can handle themselves well and contribute to group. I asked if he'd contribute or just continue his hissy from the entrance. He picked getting kicked again and we soon after finished the dungeon.

I've just about finished my Random dailies today on all of my alts and every single time, there was at least one guy pushing for everyone to port over to FG1. The one time it seemed like the rest of group wanted to, I politely dropped out of group. This was the second time this morning I got Darkshade 1 and had someone try to move the group over to FG1. It shows just how sad its gotten when some are even abandoning other cakewalk dungeons to do this exploit.

    :D that's fantastic

Just ask for replacements from your friends list, Guilds or the finder itself. That's what we normally anyways when someone leaves or gets kicked. I mean that's part of what guilds/friends are for, to help each other. Whining here done fix anything, except getting rid of them dam sorc shields

Even if you do end up doing the dungeon with them, i really really doubt it will go as planned if it is a dlc dungeon (even on normal).

Let’s face it, people are not queuing up their best toons for the job. This is not the time to be doing dlc dungeons.

Anyway, this event is the most pointless thing ever. People were doing dungeons fine before for undaunted or gear or xp. There was no reason for additional incentive with a miniscule chance. And yeah nothing dropped for me so far worth mentioning. Would have made more money farming mats in the time I spent doing those pointless dailies.

And the fourth feather is nowhere to be seen ... just ... complete ... nonsense...

In spite of that, you have three other people in that dungeon with you (all probably trying to hustle 12 characters through one after the other), and your singular needs/wants do not outweigh the needs/wants of those three. I'm personally not going to hang out with you in one dungeon for an hour and a half while you casually peruse every sack and canister and hang on every single word from every single cut scene under these circumstances.

Not asking you to. Just expecting you to do the dungeon you pulled out the random hat. Other people may have queued for that dungeon specifically and it's incredibly selfish and rude of you to shoot off to some other one just because you don't like what the RNG gods gave you.

lol, but during a 7 day event? You think someone dropping a DLC dungeon during a 7-day multi-character dungeon event is being inconsiderate, when you can experience the DLC dungeon and take your time literally every other day of the year?

    Yes.

There is no event queue. Even if there were, the purpose of the event is to do a random dungeon. Not go to FG after entering a random dungeon.

I mean the purpose for some may be to do a random dungeon, the purpose for others may be to get as many of the prize boxes as possible, and the purpose for ZOS is likely to have active players who will return to the next event for their feathers.

I don't think you can outright decide what the purpose of the event is and draw your conclusion from that.

Yups, I had it happen twice yesterday (although I was queueing for random). First time I saw it happen, and I'm not happy about it. I also created a thread, but from what people say this "exploit" has been there since the very beginning, and ZOS hasn't done anything about it, so I don't think the chances for it to change are too big.

Hehe. Good one mate. Yeah I hate when that happens. It shouldn't give them the daily by porting to the dungeon of their choice.

Decided to do one more tonight even though I was getting a bit cranky about people jumping to FG1 before I was even out of loading screen. We got arx corinium and the other three jumped. I decided I wasn't going to go. Was on third boss when they finished and disbanded. So I queued again and joined the group for FG1. I was suppose to be healing but being cranky I decided I would light attack only kind of hoping everybody would die so I could just do the boss at my leisure. Not something I would normally do but since they didn't ask if I wanted to go I figured what the hell. Turns out they didn't need a healer. Ah well things will soon be back to normal.

On the plus side I think I snagged about 120k gold worth of motifs this last day so even though it was tedious having to run the same simple dungeon over and over again it wasn't a complete waste of time. And I did manage to sneak in three trials and the pledges.

All in all really glad the fungal fest is over.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

    Seriously?

"During the event period, you can complete a random dungeon using the Dungeon Finder (Normal or Veteran) to earn Mysterious Reward Boxes,"

What other conclusion could you possibly draw from that? Certainly not "complete Fungal Grotto after you port to some random location".

Hey, ZOS hasn't labeled it an exploit, they haven't extended the event, it's clearly gonna be a gray area. The event is over in 5 hours; it was a very short event. There are better things to be complaining about than having to do FG1 all week for additional prize boxes.

Why not ask a zos employee if this is an exploit so yall know if you will get a ban prior to getting it.

Zos is ban happy for glitches and bugs. I got banned for getting a skill pt I wasn't supposed to and had no idea I got it.

Permanent ban, til they realized I wasn't exploiting it due to the fact I only received the pt once. Where others were found to have done it repeatedly.

My guess is ZOS is perfectly happy with this, since it may take a lot of workload of their glitchy/buggy dungeonfinder.
