What does F76 have to do with ESO?
How about the same publisher? Or maybe its both developers having the same parent company? Or perhaps Todd Howard saying that ZOS helped with Fallout 76? Need more?
Todd Howard also said that id Software helped. Why aren't we comparing say...Quake Champions and Fallout 76 then? lol
Of course, even Quake Champions is a better game than FO76. I doubt both id Software and Zenimax pitched a lot of stuff towards Fallout 76's way...Some people think that Fallout 76 was made by a small team.
The FO76 engine includes idTech. That is how id helped out.

Ah, so we just need to know how Zenimax helped like you said there. Probably provided and asset or two...Sound effects maybe?

ESO is buggy, no doubt, and some of the bugs are deeply frustrating. But you can, in fact, play the game. You can even do all of the content in the game, even if sometimes the bugs get in the way of it. But Fallout 76 is... well, okay, imagine the worst bugs you can think of in ESO. Missing AoEs, combat bug, sprint bug, whatever. Now multiply that frequency by about 10x and then apply bugs of that magnitude to every core element of the game..
That's Fallout 76 in its current state.

I am still trying to figure out how ZOS helped out.

Loot boxes.

It's unfortunate that hyperbole and using words incorrectly is all the rage these days. It means when a game is *legitimately* broken or ruined, there are no words left to express that. These days, many call something "broken" or "ruined" (or worse "game breaking") when expressing opinions based on their expectations of what they game should be.

Yes I need more, or shall we compare Morrowind with Call of Cthulhu and Daggerfall with Dishonored too?
I'm not aware of any bugs in ESO that approach the severity of current bugs in Fallout 76.

I'm not aware of any bugs in ESO that approach the severity of current bugs in Fallout 76. ESO is fine. Fallout 76 should not have been released in its current state. I mean, I'm having a blast playing it, but it has some pretty significant issues right now. Never has my experience in ESO been as problematic as 76 is right now.
Launch. ESO at launch was pretty close. Maybe not quite there - Fallout 76 was a REALLY bad launch - but in the same ballpark.

Honestly my first thought when I heard Todd say that was "I bet ZOS helped design the cash shop."
But yesterday I was decorating my camp and I realized that ESO and FO76 use really similar mechanics in that regard. In both I struggle to place things because of the FOV, like not being able to move my perspective in a way that lets me look at the item I want to place in certain circumstances (if that makes sense). Or using the left and right triggers to angle furniture pieces and then having them move anyway when I use the joysticks. It's hard to explain but a lot of the really annoying small details about ESO's decorating systems is also present in 76. Although I don't remember if FO4 had the same set up. It probably did, and it came out way before ZOS added housing. So it could have actually been the other way around.

But UI bugs seem to persist for a long time, they might be working on a much needed complete overhaul of the UI and are just trying to make this old one stick together long enough to finish it... perhaps that is wishful thinking because the game badly needs it.
I still don't know what's with the visual bugs I run into a lot, like the whole of Elden Root disappearing or your weapon swaping but not swaping what it looks like and some lighting bugs I found in Morrowind.
I am pretty sure ESO is using a much older (version of the ) engine than Fallout 76 it has had a lot more time to get fixed.
it seems bethesda and Zenimax are having a crisis, gods i thought eso fixed some of these bugs but each patch is ruining the game

F076 is an unplayable unrecognizable game to the franchise. ESO is playable and enjoyable but it has no longevity for a permanent large community base. you could not compare ESO to F076 even in beta ESO was a far better game. id rather go to the dentist and get a tooth extraction with no anesthetic , it would be more enjoyable then F076 . Ive not even played ESO in 6 months .
