Mail works off account name / Gamer Tag rather than in game character name (well it does on Xbox)

I tried mailing both and mail would not send,i assume the account name was me put on ignore because the person knew what they did were wrong , but the character when trying to mail it, says character does not exist, didn't get no error on the account name though it just bleeped me , so i assume the person has me on ignore , none the less i reported the person to support for his little idiocy

I just don't get why ZOS are so afraid of giving us some customization options. Like a simple custom COD time limit. When you send the COD you should be able to just specify the limit in hours before the COD gets returned to you. This would solve all the COD woes people have. simple, easy and effective. I refuse to believe that this would be difficult to implement. I just don't understand why ZOS is so darn conservative when it comes to these things.

It’s November ‘18 and CoD Mail Trolling/Scamming is still very much a thing. Think it would be a nice feature for you to be able to recall your mail even if you lose the small mailing fee (or some of it).

There is no reason to think it would no longer happen.

It is wise to not CoD anything to someone you do not know. It does not make sense to be so trusting with total strangers.

Yeah I just fell for this COD scam/grief.

I finally got my New Life Writ achievement completed , and so when a writ dropped tonight (after 5 days of none dropping for me), I first decided I'd give it away, but then figured well if I do that someone may just grab it to sell it. So I decided to sell it for 1/2 what it was going for in the guild stores. That would hopefully dissuade some who just want to sell it themselves.

Someone immediately asked that I COD it to him. I did and told him it was sent. He said thank you. And... hours later, he's never accepted the COD.

Presumably he's one of those trying to make a killing on these things in the Guild Stores and wasn't keen on my selling one in zone chat for far less.
