Over the long term massive multi-character crafting i have done i have the noticed the following issues specifically related to the clothier trade.
1. Cloth mats do not spawn and drop and the same rate as the rest of the other crafts do they are harder to find and in lower spawn rates overall
2. Clothier surveys simply do not drop at the same rate that they used to prior to the summerset expansion.
3. Clothier daily's are skewed to approx 90 percent of them being cloth. ideally it should be 50/50
4. Clothier master writs also then to be biased towards cloth over leather
5. Expansions get surveys and dlc for the most part dont yet summerset has zero surveys dropping they simply arent in game .
MY craft bag and general long term memory don lie i can not get enough cloth mats to sustain any sort of crafting while with wood/metal/leather/jewlery/alch enchant my craft bags are overflowing to the tune of many thousands of raw mats Please do something about this

Market prices reflect this as well. Ancestor silk prices are simply absurd at this point.

All cloth materials are a pain regardless of their tier, I truly am starting to believe that there is something wrong with the fabric base mats respawn/spawn rates and the actual number of allotted numbers of nodes.

I actually kept a chart for a while on the daily clothing writs. Two days of cloth, only one day of leather. I have so much leather, I give a lot to my guild, but usually run short on cloth. The cloth drops from nodes is horrid, and we do not need leather from the survey maps!

I usually have about as much Rubedo leather as I do Ancestor silk and I've never had a problem farming either.

IMO, it's more a matter of learning to farm these things efficiently. For Ancestor silk, you need to spend a little time creating a farming route ... one that you commit to memory. The idea is to go from one node to another in some sort of circular fashion so you end up at the same node you started from. The key is in the size of your farming route ... it needs to be fine tuned so that when you get back to the node you started from, that node has just respawned.

Relying on writs for obtaining surveys as a way to get matts is RNG, and relying on RNG is never a good thing.
