How much does Healer CP level matter?

If you are doing 4-player content like dungeons or DSA with 2 max cp dps (810), what is optimal CP level for the healer?
Meaning that dps can navigate/overcome the incoming damage without wiping more than a few times (like not more than 5 times or so each encounter).

I know gear matters, but for things like Healing Springs, Shards, Bubbles, etc. that is based on CP?

At 300 CP you can have all the areas you absolutely need covered. Past that is just a bonus.

Ordo, I think I see what you mean.
But at below 300 CP for the healer, they should still be able to heal you to full health? Is that correct? (I mean your dungeon health is around 18K. That is a possible heal at below 300 CP?)

I was healing vet dungeons being 200CP Dragon Knight healer with random garbage jewelry.
CP doesn't matter that much for a healer. Especially when you have max CP DDs and a good tank, and everybody knows mechanics.

Although, before I have learned to heal properly in this game I was a very very bad Templar healer. If you're interested, look this thread of mine (it's a shame, I laugh and cry everytime when I'm watching that now): https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/361824/what-was-that-whos-guilty-tank-or-healer/p1
I want to say many thanks to all those guys and girls who gave me advices in that thread.

One of the two of us definitely has gone mad. It only remains to define whether this one is the whole world or just me.

Whiping 5 times each encounter? I don't think any group would keep a healer around for that.

You don't even need to have CP to heal someone to full health - that's very easy to do. Healers can pretty much do that out of the gate with burst heals or just stacking heals over time. But a healer is doing a whole lot more than just getting someone back up to full health. They're also putting down group buffs, purging debuffs, shielding people, etc. At CP300 you have enough CP to do all of that well while also keeping yourself alive. Beyond that is just a bonus.

DSA, both dd wiping almost constantly each arena after the very first. It could be our fault but it seemed like a heal issue. But we just left in case it's us.

ESO healers have a lot of burst heals: Healing Springs, Templar's Breath of Life, Warden's mushrooms, DK's Obsidian Shard...
Heal through a lot of HP fast is not a problem even for low-CP. The problem is how to do that properly, to have situation awareness, to know what has to be done and when.

Seeing as how we typically do vDSA these days without any healer in the group... I'd say that if you're dying and wiping, it's probably not a healer issue.

Absolutely could be, that's why we offered to leave.

Considering I've healed vet dungeons & trials with the thief mundus and full dps CP setup I'd say not much, as long as you have all the gear sorted you'll be fine :)
@Sparr0w so I get the notification

    Context is really missing.

Normal dungeons are so different than vet, and especially vet DLCs. Similar with DSA.

As Code stated, most DPS die because of their own actions. I would add that the demand on the healer is really dependent on how good, or not so good, the group is.

:D I was far below 160 when I started healing. Thinking about this...cp really doesn't do much for healing.

Create a new character as a healer at max CP and the question really becomes

How many SP do you have?

    and

Have you placed them in the appropriate passives/skills?

CP is only ever part of the equation

Most 4 man content nowadays is preferably done without a healer, so I would say not that important. A healer can of course be a cruch for new players, but in a non dlc vet dungeon and such a healer is more dead weight than use for experienced players.

Max cp make you more damage resistent who is very nice, you also get better sustain.
But its less important than for DD
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

CP on a healer is the same as CP on a tank or dps. Everything over 300 is a bonus, but if you are 300, dont expect capped players to play with you. Ofc it will happen, just don't expect them to.

Eh it depends on what the group expects from the healer. Two max cp competent dps can be reasonably expected to pull 40k+ each solo (without healer buffs). So if the healer is just expected to keep people alive, then sure that group comp will still be able to plow through every vet dlc dungeon in the game. I remember when I was leveling undaunted on a new magplar, I literally just crafted a Julianos resto staff and threw a few healing skills on my bar - that alone was enough to heal through vet dlc dungeons. It really doesn't take much.

That being said, most of the time a healer is expected to do more than just heal, so I really wouldn't be comfortable with them managing all that on top of mechanics without being at least cp300. One exception is vBRP, when the tank is slapped with unpurgable extreme defile I wouldn't be comfortable with any healer below cp600 ;)

Exactly. I would take a CP300 healer on a vet Trial with me without hesitation if they A.) knew what they were doing and B.) were geared properly. If both A and B are true, at CP300 they'll be just fine.
